Well, my mom watched me play ME3 for 3 days straight until I beat it. She was sitting right behind me when it ended and she was like "what just happened?"

And now she thinks Bioware is going to make us all go crazy with this.

My mom doesn't get the games I play....she thinks there to "manly"....she never much liked video games to begin with so I forgive her for that. But she does know that when I invest my emotions in something that to me, it's worth ever minute of it and I'll fight for it to the end.

I hope bioware isn't going to make us go crazy with this....that would just be cruel of them.

Sacred, still holding the line.

When I was little, my mom used to play video games for me; I would sit and watch while she beat the bosses. Then I would play the easy stuff. Now I play everything and she sits on the couch and just watches. She knows the story, characters, what's going on....
She doesn't mind me playing at all...though she didn't like all the blood that stayed on your character on DA:O.

Well, I hope they say something soon :)

Your mom is amazing!

LOl - This deeply offends me - every single one of you ACCUSED me of Bashing GAYS - not one of you had THE COMON SENSE TO ASK ME IF THAT WAS MY INTENT. Here you can only speak in blurbs - if anyone had any question then have the common decency to ask before YOU open your mouth as well.

Well with the way you worded it kind of implied you were bashing that option in the game. For future reference, read over what you typpe and if something sounds to ambiguous, then it will be taken worng. Write it in a simple manner with no way of being taken the wrong way.

Just food for thought.

Coffee and chocolate chip muffins for everyone. Checking in. I'm so proud of how this group is growing! Keep on believing. Shepard deserves happiness, or at least not complete abandonment!

Thank you very much!!

And yes, Shep deserves happiness in at least one ending/outcome....which is one of the reasons why I hold the line!! :D

Just make sure you're there for him at the end. It's so difficult to go through that alone D:

But seriously may God have mercy on his Soul[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/devil.png[/smilie]

That bit when Garrus quotes that makes me :crying:.

I was alone at the end, he woke up to find me crying, ahaha.  And the came back from work to find me crying.  The crying has now stopped (how sad am I!), but the thought of DLC is keeping me going.

My friends don't understand, they are like "It's a game...so..?"

I understand you. My superior good ending for Mass Effect:

Garrus and Shepard, arm in arm, Garrus carrying Shepard, Shepard helping Garrus, both wounded. And Garrus says:
"If the best Sniper of the Citadel would not held your back...where would you be now?!"
Shepard: "Propably waiting at that bar in heaven Garrus!".

Those brothers in arms, I want a good ending to them. :crying:

I can just imagine that conversation, brilliant!

Just had a heated debate with someone at work about why we want DLC/a better ending.  He keeps saying if games are to be viewed as art it shouldn't be changed, and you wouldn't change a book ending or film.

After trying to explain it to him I just ended up like this:

Another side effect of ME3 was that ME2 - a good game on its own - just felt pointless in the end. Like it was a speed bump between the two games that actually "counted." The plot didn't really matter. The characters all got thrown to the wayside. They had nice little moments, but it was basically a cameo for each.

I had imagined ME3 would have been Shepard running around all pirate-like with the combined crews of ME1 and ME2. Like a little mercenary band. Dodging both the Alliance and Cerberus to actually put things right. That was the impression I'd gotten from the end of ME2. "We do things my way from now on," basically just translated to "I'm going right back to the Alliance!"

I didn't like the addition of the gay characters either - and I'm a lesbian. Mostly because it was obvious that they were there for the sole purpose of being love interests, and any additional characterization came after. Function before personality. It showed. Felt a little shallow. But I suppose that's for the character/romance forum.

Not sure if I completely agree, but I really wish there had been more ME2 members in your party. We had the whole ME1 gang minus Wrex... and a bunch of new guys. I don't think any of the ME2-exclusives made it into the squad (although I squealed like a schoolgirl when Mordin came back to the med bay.) It would've been really cool to have at least a couple of the ME2 crew following you into ME3...

So amazed at how far we've gotten in the last few days - over $50,000 raised for charity, getting some big gaming (and non-gaming) websites to sit up and take notice, it's just... surreal! And all because of our passion and love of what I genuinely believe to be one of the greatest gaming experiences a person could ever go through...

All I can say is that I'm proud to be here, with this group of people, showing our support, and doing what we all know to do best - HOLD THAT LINE!!!

(well hold it, or at least prop it up against something suitable for when it starts to get a little heavy)

It is OUR image because we're a group that has an obvious dislike of the ending. And the way to get our point across is not by saying closeminded hateful things to bioware that can and will get you banned from the forums.

We want to be taken seriously because if we just straight up used swear words, and immature yelling they would either:

A) Lock this thread,
B) ban everyone who said bad against Bioware,
C) Ignores us completely, which is not our goal
or
D) All of the above.

THink before you speak, keep it civil and refrane from anything hurtful or bashing at Bioware (and other users)

Yes please, and thank you.

@alberta; whether you meant to "gay bash" or not doesn't matter. The way you posted it may have been seen as offensive.

For example, I found it offensive. Now please stop going on about it, everyone now understands that you didn't mean any harm.

Holding the line. With whiskey folks ^_^ Who wants some?

MY enitire intent was about the the TIME it took to introduce this new aspect into the game, its sensitives, it emotions, it conclusion. The I aslo explained the TIME it took to include multi-player that few read - my intent was TIME. Something had to give - the end is that result.
