If you assume that all of this took them off-guard I'd be astonished if they hadn't recalled the team leaders in for a discussion by now. Even the dimmest of the managers at BW would realise that trying to hold in the storm for 7 weeks while everyone finished their vacation and returned to work would only make things worse. Heck, that kind of delay in giving a statement could practically finish the company - especially with Forbes reporting on the issue to potential investors.
The smart thing to do is to at least talk to the team leaders, figure out what could be changed, how much it would cost and how long it would take. So they could at least come out with a statement as to if they intend to tackle the problem, and give at least some idea as to how long it is likely to take.
I doubt a statement is actually going to come. They've let it fester this long and are probably waiting for it to blow over so they can announce their fantastic new multiplayer DLC.
Hope I'm wrong.
I hope your wrong too, although this is more or less exactly what they did with DA2 - which if I remember correctly resulted in half the players deleting the game from their hard-drive or otherwise getting rid of it. Certainly it didn't result in everyone one squeling 'OHH! Look a weapon and armour pack...I'll forget about all my problems and complaints with the game and go buy them!'...
Somehow I can't see any DLC apart from an ending resulting in anyone suddenly liking the ending or forgetting it...certainly NOT a MP DLC given that the majority of people were against any MP in ME3 in the first place, and that from what I can tell no one is really all that delighted with the MP we ended up with - I think the basic view is that the MP is 'ok'.
