Actually I was trying to imply that it wasn't a hole, but there were more than the 2 that Samara mentioned. I had no problem with this a staying within the lore at all. As Computim said, the Asari are very secretive about certain parts of their culture.

Samara has three children, all Ardat-Yakshi. I thought she was just talking about her own family and that there were more Ardat-Yakshi.

After one week in read only mode, this is my first and probably also my last post on the matter. After reviewing the facts and leaving out the speculative stuff I can only conclude that this is really "it". There's no planned real ending DLC. The indoctrination theory is nothing more but anticipointed people reaching out for every emergency induction port they can possibly find. There is no big BioWare Masterplan to fix this all. They simply completely screwed up.

It's beyond my understanding how anything so devastatingly horrid could have ever passed through any creative department, but there you have it. I'll continue to check the forums and I will eagerly wait for any official announcement, hoping for anything to redeem the Mass Effect franchise - but I'm not holding my breath.

Post will very likely get buried very fast as I don't have to say anything that wasn't said a hundred times before - doesn't matter, just wanted to add my voice to the "lol seriously, BioWare?" - chorus.

Sadly enough i think he/she has a point but you know what People I'm not gonna lay down and die like many would (none of you of course)

regarding media coverage -
those willing to forward information to local radio stations, it might be a good idea to do so. Whenever i'm driving, I always hear radio stations talking about little popular things in the news. They love quick excerpts that can be summarized in under a minute. Usually they tell you to visit their website afterward for more info.
Of course, I would only forward it to radio stations that have younger (maybe less than 30 yrs old) listening base.

I wish I could believe in a "Truth" Dlc but I can see no reason why they have not made a statement even saying they are planning something or it's on it's way to stop all this rage going on.

They really do think this is the best ending for Mass Effect and Shepard.

I'm saddened by my line of though but..

I don't believe in the Truth Dlc
I don't believe in a better ending
I don't believe in Mass Effect
I don't believe in Bioware

So, I've heard it stated multiple times that a Non-disclosure agreement is keeping Bioware from making any decisive comments on the ending.

I was wondering if, now that the game is available worldwide, anything has changed in regards to that?

Banshees were ardat-yakshee. The monastery was for all ardat-yakshee; there may have been more discovered since the end of ME2, as that monastery was rather large for the two which you meet (which, if you recall from LotSB are Morinth's sisters). A datapad there actually details another one being brought in, with reference to others. Maybe not as rare as lead to believe.

We know for certain that, if you sided with Morinth, she is turned into a Banshee as you meet her later on.

oh, let them be. That's a minor hole, I can fill it. Just have to say that we're so exited by the ending, that everythihg else seems perfect. It's not.

Of course it is also quite possible that Sumara didn't know about the others, or they were placed in the monastery between ME2&3. At least one of the inhabitants was captured by another Justicar and sent there at some point (its on a data pad in the monastery). It could also be argued that there was a deliberate crackdown on Adok-Yakshee after ME2, since their existance was now revealed to Shepard and his/her crew and hence to the other races.

Actually I was trying to imply that it wasn't a hole, but there were more than the 2 that Samara mentioned. I had no problem with this a staying within the lore at all. As Computim said, the Asari are very secretive about certain parts of their culture.

To be fair he didn't say anything approving/disapproving about ending DLC. But it's good to know that the writer credited with the DA:O ending (which was exactly what I hoped ME3 would be like honestly) is on our side regarding Mass Effect 3's ending.

I think the endings were meant to be vague so we could give Shepard the ending we want.

Just thinking out loud here:

I still can't believe that BioWare is so incompetent with their story writing and market research for them to release the game with these cut and crappy endings on purpose without some backup plan.

What if..maybe, just maybe due to November leak they made a decision to alterrewrite the endings but simply did not have enough time to finish them? So they decided to release what was in the original leak, only cut that way so it would be seen as a cliffhanger with inconsistencies to hook on to and many questions unanswered. On purpose, And the altered ending? It has to be something big and quite different to be justified as a separate release.

What do you guys think? Plausible?

This is the basis for the rumour about a DLC called 'The Truth'. The basic rumour is that they changed the ending of the game due to the leak, intending to release a free DLC with the real ending in April - possibly related to PAX on 6th April when BW will make some statement about the game.

Note I said rumour. There is zero evidence to support this, although the leak is meant to have come through someone who leaked something else.

Or basically don't get your hopes up.

It came from the same person that leaked about the MP DLC; which has been proven in a round about way.  We have two ways to look at it; this is planned..........and could end up be great PR stunt........or its not.

Either way; We Hold The Line.

As far as I remember she says something along the lines of there being three ardat-yakshi in existence at that point in time, that she had 3 children and that, yes it was like it sounded; that all her children were ardat-yakshi.
But ofcourse other families could be protecting their own dirty lil' secrets so, yeah, I guess that's a plothole easily filled ^^;

Anyone up for Marauder Shields DLC? Maybe his backstory? Perhaps as a new squad member? Maybe his own Awakening-style expansion.

DLC? Marauders Shields deserves more than paltry DLC content.

Phoenix AZ reporting back in, did anything important happen in the last 12 hours?

seriously, I'm starting to get a little desperate for some form of response...

In the meantime March Madness has been a welcome distraction from the depression due to the ME3 endings...

And that is a horse that has been beaten to death throughout the depths of the internet. It has/had no place in something like Mass Effect.

Samara states that there are currently 3 ardat-yakshee in existence, all three her daughters. The two who accepted seclusion were the two still alive in ME3. The 3rd being Morinth. But, as I said, she could have been wrong or lying. Ardat-yakshi are not generally known outside of Asari culture so it's not surprising that there would be more of them at the monastery. I find no problems with the number encountered in the game.

I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. I have seen all the endings and to be honest I knew it wouldn't end well the game pretty much tells you things are not going to end well.

Like I said to be honest I have no problem with the ending so I can't really see what all the fuss is about.

How did your squad get back on the Normandy and why was it fleeing the battle?

We do not know either.
