Problem I have always seen with DLC that takes place before the ending, is that it will have to tie some way into the whole "gathering the warr asset" feel of the main campaign. And Omega really isn't that much of an asset, more a liability. I just can't see how it would even make sense to do it really. But yeah, definitely PR doubplespeak.

Addendum to previous post:

Please let's not immediately jump to conclusions, now is not the time to start bashing them with the potential olive branch they may be holding.

The best thing we can do is watch them and let them prove themselves to be the company we know and love, or show that that company is no more. Any flaming or negative comments to them is not going to get us what we want, and in the long run it's not going to make you feel better.

He said nothing concrete. In fact he said, that we as a community will influence further content! So: Be patient and hold the line!

he is saying that 99% of the players loved the ending.
what can we possibly expect after a statement such as this?
if he "thinks" everybody loved the ending he won't change it.

That he writes that doesn't mean he believes it. Even if he does we can change his mind, we are the fans and customers, Bioware is a company and the developer. They exist because we allow it, and they will change the ending because we demand it! That is how capitalism works. Sooner or later a guy with a white collar will tell them that their profits are hurting! At this moment we win.

Hold the line.

I'm trying my best, but sometimes i fell like i'm just humilliating myself  and that i should give up and leave this game behind.,..

It's one thing to say all that...but then...doesn't he realize that the ending (because, let's face it, there's only one ending) is so full of plot holes so huge that you can drive the Bismark through them?

Doesn't he realize that he's ignoring the people that truly matter?  The people that buy and play the games?  That the -majority- of those people hate the ending, because it makes no sense?

Wow...now I'm even more determined to hold the line.  This had better be some joke on his part, because if it's not it's just going to add fuel to the fire.

triggering a atomic bomb in the middle of it... Lets see how the thing really
whent down. *Bioware office* Uh i have no idea for the end lets just copy Deus Ex.

it better not be an Omega DLC, Aria is pretty much advertising it in the game though

That and one of the comic book arcs was her losing Omega. And at the end they said it would be continued in Mass Effect 3. So, yeah... probably safe to bet that it will be DLC content.

agreed but the multiplayer ems issue can be dealt with later...one problem at a time hahah

An acknowledgment that the fans have practically always played an important part in shaping the direction of the narrative is important, I think. It's exactly what all of those "RESPECT ARTISTS AND THEIR DECISIONS" commentators miss entirely. It's good to see Casey Hudson hasn't forgotten that... and since there's really only ONE thing people right now want out of DLC, if he's being sincere that the fans will "help" continue to shape what DLC they produce over the next year, I have a certain amount of faith. Not a lot. But some.
