*jumps up on a soapbox* In the last week or so we've seen some extraordinary things happen. The BSN is the most united it has ever been; femshep and sheploo fans are together in a common cause with tailmancers and S/S'ers, we've raised 50,000 for charity. I don't see any reason why this post should make anyone feel downhearted. Sure it's PR speak but we've not been told to shut it and and pipe down. As long as we keep the pressure on and act in a responsible manner there's no reason why we can't still get out ending. We just need to stay active. "We've done the impossible and that makes us mighty" "Hold the Line" *Is kicked off his soapbox into a swimming pool of jelly.*

hehehe... umm i mean... U ok?
Was that a Firefly quote???
Well ok sir then I aim to Misbehave They can't take the End from us
Please let's not immediately jump to conclusions, now is not the time to start bashing them with the potential olive branch they may be holding.
The best thing we can do is watch them and let them prove themselves to be the company we know and love, or show that that company is no more. Any flaming or negative comments to them is not going to get us what we want, and in the long run it's not going to make you feel better.
this 100%
hold the line people we have done so much and had so much S**** thrown at us and we have held the line now they want to distract us with MP and tor WE MUST HOLD THE LINE they want us to shut up and go away but WE MUST WE WILL HOLD THE LINE.
Well, we suspected but now we knoe. Be prepared for long haul mode people..there is no magic DLC. It will take 6-8 months for DLC to fix this--there is no magic patch to be had.
Went over to Michael Gamble's twitter page to see if he responded as well. He just linked to Casey Hudson's post here on the forum and said: "I hope you've read @CaseyDHudson message.I echo what he says, and we're looking forward to great year of creating #ME3 content for the fans. But you won't know what we are making until we're good and ready to talk about it! ;)"
Like someone here said before, I am so sick and tired of the winky smily faces.

Drinking far too much In that order
Awww its ok.. hugs all around.
It's cool, the jelly's like an awesome edible bouncy castleB)
I'm not trying to shoot you down, nor am I saying it's over. I'm saying bide a while and see what comes of it before jumping up or throwing down.
Well it is the important thing that she emphazises the part where he said they would(!) do this together with us. In the post we FORCED them to make. We forced them to address this. I think that she puts the emphazis there means we are strong enough that we can NOT be ignored.
omg, it's so hard to keep up with 2 fast growing topics especially when my local time is 3:20AM... Casey's response is nothing new to be honest, they're still trying to keep the damage as minimum as possible! HOLD THE LINE!
please don't remind me of the local time. ._.
but yes, same here. after a few years of marketing and pr classes, i didn't actually expect anything else. even if i may have anticipated something else, it's still no surprise.
the only problem, now i'm really pissed off. not just confused or in denial, now i'm really, really annoyed and wouldn't mind giving up my post on the line to get a pitchfork.
What people need to realise is by changing the ending it will ****** off the fans that enjoyed it and change gaming history that would cause so much more work and pressure on developers.
Why would they do this if they believe that its only the minority that feel as we do?

Bioware. I'm an idiot. I start thinking of conspiracy theories when you start winking at me. Have mercy, hahaha:lol:

I understand your position. And I'm not jumping. But I think, in a way, she emphasized one point: that they are producing things according to our comments. And what comment is being made, relevant I mean, rather than ours? Come on. It's not jumping. But nothing made more noise than this. Even in the big media.
It has to serve as a dose of hope for us to hold the line. Not count as done, but as some hope.

Winky and smiley faces.
But this is better than anything we've had so far...
Well, we suspected but now we knoe. Be prepared for long haul mode people..there is no magic DLC. It will take 6-8 months for DLC to fix this--there is no magic patch to be had.
The new statement from Casey is a bit like the ending. Its vague and brings no closure.
However, its not nonsensical, so I suppose we can look at it as progress
Seriously now, I think it means we are beeing taken care of. Its just written in PR bullc**p instead of english.
Hold the line! Portuguese fleet out.
I agree, they are starting to move much sooner than i though. Plus, they even set a " ending feedback " even on the french forum. Let just see how the situation will goes. Until then...
That there was a whole lotta words for saying not much at all.
More closure, more answers and more time to say goodbye to our stories would be awesome, but I'd still like the added bonus of the ending not being...you know - bad. And why would anything other than a "bittersweet" ending "betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make"? Still sounds like nothing but PR talk riding on the insinuation that everyone is just so sad to see Mass Effect end that we can't accept a perfectly good ending.
Well, so we've gotten our first official statement from the Big Man with nothing of note in it. I agree with my fellows-in-arms:
Make them say yes, or make them say no. Do not be placated. Hold the Line.
^Agree.
Somehow critics of people who want a different ending just keep boiling it all down to us wanting rainbows, ponies and cake (though we all know the cake is a lie) and bring up that there are people who like it as though that should make us change our minds or something... Thing is, I and prob. most of us, have played many games where the hero dies at the end and it's okay (which is actually starting to make it a bit of a tired cliche, but that's off topic). While I would prefer at least one version of ending where the hero lives, I could have dealt with death IF I had actually saved the galaxy or something... but really, you blow up the relays, which lore tells us blows up the star system, which means it kills more life forms than the Reapers would have done and then your crew (I won't go into the fact that it makes no sense how they're even all in the Normandy and jumping through the relays at this point like they just left Shepard to die) crashes onto a planet that, unless it's a magic wishing well planet, will only be able to support the dietary needs of either the humans/asari on board or the turian/quarian on board so that somebody out there is going to starve to death and die horribly... after all, the Normandy isn't carrying multi-species colonization and farming equipment around. Best case scenario where the relay explosions only blow up people in the relays but not the whole star systems (space magic?) still leaves the united fleets of everyone stuck in Earth's system without a way to get supplies or a planet that can support so many people.... Well, assuming you didn't dump everyone into the giant gene blender (more space magic?), which effectively really and totally kills everyone straight out... Really the currently best ending to ME3 is letting the Reapers catch you and not resuming play because you actually end up doing just as much or more damage than they intend to... I get bittersweet, but that's just 100% bitter.
But really, this parody expresses it best (and keeps making me laugh):
