is the letter writing campaign still set for tomorrow? if so, we might want to chang the tones of the letters

As far as I've heard it's still set for tomorrow. Though we don't need to make the letters rude (I'm not sure what you were implying). Otherwise they'll just use that as evidence to call us the whiny, entitled gamers which we are not!

Though I guess it's too bad for me that I've already stamped and sealed my envelope...

just you know like this: on such and such a day, mr. hudson released a statement on the forums however we still have the following concerns which we feel were not addressed.

Sorry, there's been too many posts since I've been here last, has anyone mentioned this?

I'd say that this sort of denies the dream theory or any other theory. I think the ending is as it stands... Thoughts?

I just want to say, I have never been this attached to even a portion of a game before. If you saw how many freaking tabs I have open on Chrome right now you would probably cry. Images, threads, news stories, news sites, etc etc. It's crazy, but I don't think I'm the only one that is following this extremely closely. I probably update this thread 3 times a minute. And I know I'm not the only one. That dedication right there people, that... devotion to our Shepard's, to our characters, is what in the end is going to make the difference in this. Slowing down, or losing interest is exactly the sort of situation they want. Think about this, something like this has NEVER happened before in gaming, sure there were rumblings about DA2, but not to this scale. nothing this organized, and nothing that got this much attention from so many different places.

If I was at EA right now and I saw what this was doing to a company we own, I would be going to Bioware right now or very soon to say the same thing we all are:
Fix it.

SSV Wisconsin checking in. Don't back down, don't let some PR speak put you off. If they don't have something already planned to address the endings they can still decide to do something about it. Nothing is set in stone - it's pretty obvious by all the dialogue/plot changes they've already made. Make sure they know that this isn't temporary, it's not just a fit of anger that will go away after a week or two. Change takes time!

HOLD THE LINE!

(on a side note, I wonder how the writer of the Hold the Line speech in ME1 feels about how we're using it now)

Fingers are overrated anyway. Type with your face. I know I can think of a thing or two that were typed that way.

Indeed, I've read the Casey Hudson post and much of it does make sense. It was a fitting arc end for the genophage and the quarian/geth conflict. But that still doesn't excuse the fact that the rest of our people involved weren't given this same treatment.

I'm not asking to find out what happened to every person ever met in three games... Who else remembers that politician in ME! with the earth first policies? Who gives a toss about him huh?

What we're after is a rough collection of notes telling us who went where and how they've coped with whatever the situation is in the galaxy at this point.

A series of 2 or 3 minute cutscenes almost, giving us a brief glimpse of what happened after this war would be more than suitable for most people. knowing that all our sacrifices weren't in vain is all we're after. If the ending of a game presents what has previously been established as a cataclysmic event and then basically says, what do you reckon? Ignore previously established facts and tell us how things went in your mind. It's a fundamental error with internal consistency. Not a chance to make your own ideas.

For example, the final scene in Mordor ends just before Frodo destroys the ring and instead shows us it sitting on the floor. What else are we supposed to think but something terrible has happened? That it was all for nothing more or less. Not quite the same I'm sure you'll agree as the Reapers appear to be dealt with in some way shape or form in all of the ending scenes such as they are but there's still the question of what happens to the fleet? The Sol system doesn't appear to have been fully colonised even now, Mars is still a dead planet, Titan isn't mentioned, Pluto isn't even a planet anymore, what's up with that by the way :-p

But we're supposed to believe that the biggest armada any cycle has ever seen is supposed to survive on the burnt husk of Earth when about a quarter of your fleet only have the supplies they bought with them which considering it's pretty much the entire population of the quarians civilians et al.

Just based on previous evidence presented in the games themselves leads one inescapably to the conclusion that this cycle is doomed based on your actions alone. Nihilism is all well and good, but this has always been an optimistic series, no matter the odds you can make a difference. Right up until the point when the starchild says you can't anymore so suck it up and make your choice!

Red, Blue or Green Extinction! We've got all flavours!

If so then even Casey has to admit it's the ****tiest ****ing ending to a game ever.

Even is he is delusional.

They shouldn't need to be altered in any way unless you were rude, in which case they should be altered regardless of this post.

The letters are to voice our feelings and concerns and general reaction to the endings. These feelings haven't changed so why should the letters?

I know mine won't change; they deserve to know the gutwrenching heartache and loss I felt, along with the reasons why I feel that they were sadly lacking. The feedback is still valid, regardless of what they have said.

Just a quick update on something I saw.

Has anyone else noticed that Origin is offering the Batman game for $10 if you buy Mass Effect 3?

Just noticed because I had it opened up to chat with some friends.

Funny, isn't that almost like what they did for DA2?? Get DA2, and get ME2???

Anyways, that's all I have to report.

Sacred out.

I was replaying the game and I am right before all of the ships pop out of the relay. The music was done so well for that part and then I remembered the ending and couldn't finish the mission.

I think it's important to point out that we should also be more careful about what we say. "Journalists" may come any time for a quick scoop and won't bother to fact-check (as proven by what happened 6 hours ago).

On a lighter note: how many of you here made a twitter account only to follow what's happening with ME3? I did haha.
