so anything new from the past 4+ hours?

Smoke and mirrors.

If you haven't already check out this thread for some insight:

http://social.biowar...ndex/10084349/1

SO they're pulling the whole lets give them free stuff and maybe they'll foget about the ending trick? I find that despicable.... When did BW go down such an evil path? :crying:

I expected that from an MMO company (got shafted a lot like that with Ragnarok and RF Online when they all started to tank) but not from Bioware.

But then again they're veering towards MMOs now with TOR.

And Speaking of TOR I just told one of my friends there's no way in hell I'm going to play TOR, even if Bioware did give me a beta key way back when.

Brent Knowles, the lead designer for DA:O commented on his blog. And he sums up a lot of the issues with the ending beautifully. Makes me wish he was still with Bioware. As Bioware seem to have forget that they are making games, for a consumer base who has expectations. Not high art.

Brent is awesome. The guy knows how to end a RPG properly. Bleak and otherwise.

So even if they listen to our suggestions how long is it going to take to make it? 6+ months? And how much will it cost us? :\\

Right everyone I have to go for a little bit my eyes are getting tired looking at the laptop screen, and I need some dinner to refuel. I will be back in a while to hold the line, keep up the good work friends and don't let them divide us :)

Everyone here should remember that what we are doing is working. They are scared of this movement because they have never seen anything like it before.
They thought they could just buy us off and make us quiet with a free weekend of TOR. It failed.
They thought the movement would lose steam if they offered us some big mp mission crap. It failed.
They thought that hudson's comments would demoralize... us and derail this whole movement. It failed
They think if they just wait and keep giving us more stuff we will give in. It will fail.
We are going to hold this blasted line to the last! We are going to take our games back showing them that they need us! (All in a paragon manner of course but we are still gonna hold this fraking line!)

If you need motivation to believe that we are having an effect read this: http://social.biowar...ndex/10084349/1

Requoting this everytime instead of hold the line now.

There are alot of innocent Shepards being killed right now, this is not over.
And Bioware has no idea how true that is, because this!! Our Cause got (Biowares perspective) really out of Hand. They definetly didn't saw this coming. I am Truly proud of you all.
I say write them the Email/Letter/Thread Poll and show them what we want. What we are fighting for.

People, flood the Operation Goliath thread with your two cents. Talk to the players, don't hole yourselves in here and just say "Ohh they're gonna play" take action "March Over" and tell these players just how much they're screwing up by playing this, and how detrimental this is to getting what we all want. I already put up my post there on page 18 but I'm one voice. I need reinforcements

reinforcement is on the way

Thanks.

Funny, he said something I commented before. About artsy/depressive stories. I say again: I agree completely. They are "good" for movies or theater. But not good for games, where you spend countless hours, and make choices (!!!)!

And for my part, I usually don't like this kind of movie anyway. They are usually writen by ignorant people, who just think being pretentious is an art form. People who never opened a book about philosophy, theology or anything really, they just think they can talk about it. It's really just depressing.

And, sadly, ME3 suffers from that. It's a pretentious ending, with no real "meat" to eat.

Hold. The. Line.

Boycotting N7 Weekend. They think they can keep side-stepping us with empty 'statements' and free stuff. Remain civil and respectful, but vigilant and determined.

building on a thought, i actually put the entire blame for this fiasco directly on the people who thought mixing gaming genres was a good idea. what is exceptable in a shooter is not exceptable in an rpg. story matters, logic matters, and you can't take soyalent green, call it people reaper paste and expect me to be so busy running around shooing at monsters that I don't notice.

This tweet is a tactic.
It is vague enough to give us hope, so it reduces the heat on them.

They are stalling for time to figure things out, like will we go away, how
much will it cost them, and such.

I can't blame them, but I'm still annoyed they are not being more open about the ending issue. If
you are not going to do it, then let me know so I can stop with the hope, and be done with Bioware.

Anyways, how could they think a no win situation for all 3 choices which are really the same choice be a good thing? With no closure for any of your companions, other than knowing a few are stranded on a planet with no hope for escape. So you die, your friends will die soon, Earth and your armada will die of famine, and the whole universe will slowly die over losing the mass relays. Thanks, I feel like I mattered. That was sarcasm, in the end Shepard didn't matter because he might as well have been a Reaper with how he handled the situation. Once again, how did anyone reading this script think this was a good idea? /sigh

Guess all I can do is hold the line and hope. Ohhh and hand write my letter tomorrow!

We are making some ground but we have to hold the line
till anything is confirmed. So the SSV Lipzig signs off for today
we need to resupply.

Yep. We're getting closer, but we have to show them that this isn't just going to blow over.

Absolutely. Also the 'immutability of the artwork' BS is itself a display of sheer ignorance.
