Huh. I just realized that the anime series BW and EA probably spent a ton of money farming out to Production IG to do is utterly pointless because of this game ending. So they just wasted their own money, as far as advancing the story. Way to go, guys. Nobody is going to care about what happened to James knowing that he dies / whatever the ending implies to him.

I think the Anime takes place before ME3. . .Also I think they made it to attract people who like anime, but not western RPGs. . .so those people can play ME3 and will probably like it because they aren't really invested in the story. . .I think that's the reasoning behind making an Anime about a juice-head from ME.

Well, it's too bad you guys decided to completely gloss over my original post, and jump immediately to 'lol troll'.

If you actually want this to go somewhere, you're gonna want to 'fight' the containment.

You may still be in the fight on "BSN", but if you really want to win and make a difference, you need to win in the real battleground, the gaming media, where you've been getting decimated, and in my opinion have already lost.

How? I don't know, you're the brilliant minds behind Child's Play, you figure it out. Write them, contact any prominent figures (if you know any) in there, or whatever.

But as long as you continue to get belittled on the 'outside' as a whole, the slighter your chances will be. And in my opinon, that's where this 'war' came to an end.

Thank you for saying its great that we are doing the childs play...HOWEVER
We do have support from outside the gaming networks if you pay attention.  As an example Forbes has been a great help and more and more people are joining the cause everyday. It is no where near of dying. Now if you want to post your "end of the world" posts about Retake Mass Effect then go make your own forum and talk about it their because you will see no help for your case here.

And Pikey, at this point, it doesn't matter whether we get the ending changed or not. What DOES matter is that we stand up to such crappy, crappy treatment from bioware towards their fanbase and the ongoing attempt to depict us all as fanatics and people who have nothing else/better to do. The point of fighting something isn't to win (well, it is, but you can't know in advance how the fight will turn out, so you don't fight solely to win), but to do your best at defeating the opponent and take a stand. To let them know you won't just take it lying down.

We're more than a fanbase. We're customers. We have rights afforded under international laws. We have rights afforded by the sense of good business. It's time we stopped taking on the monicker of squealing teenager girls and adopted something befitting our maturity and diversity. We are customers first, fans second.

So I'm back to a bunch of new pages after running my D&D game. And no, I did not end my campaign tonight with a multi colored ending to torment my players like I threatened to. :P

I haven't read all of what has passed since I was here earlier but a few "you aren't going to make a difference" posts have stood out to me. This whole movement about wanting to get a decent ending for ME3... it's almost not even about the drive for a new ending (for me) anymore. Whether or not this slice of the community can truly bring about change is irrelevant to me now. I would still LIKE to have a better ending and I still hope our group can get more dialogue going but that isn't the main reason I continue to post here.

This place really feels more like a support group to me. I feel sad and let down by the awful endings and it was really nice to discover that there are so many like minded people. I come here because I feel like my opinion matters here and having people to vent with really helps. I've seen disgruntled people go so many directions in other situations but here, everyone (for the most part) is polite and respectful. They/We are fans that are outraged at events but are not bashing anyone. The maturity shown here makes me happy. Even if at the end of the day we don't get what we all want, I feel happy and proud to have spent my time amongst such people.

Maybe we won't make the differences we want to make, but we have made *A* difference. If nothing else, we've shown what a community of fans can really be like. Kudos to everyone for holding the line.

Pikey. Why are you here? What exactly is your purpose besides just telling everyone that wants to see this through that we're all a bunch of idiots wasting our time? What exactly do you gain from this? Do you gain anything at all?

Just offering my perspective. This IS a discussion forum after all, no?

Never once did I call you guys idiots btw. If I had to choose, I'd be on your side. I just wouldn't want to join a war where I'd face certain doom/loss.

Haha and then your next post implies we are ignorant. Guess that's better than being an idiot... no wait, they're pretty much the same thing. Close enough anyway. Honestly its not all that crazy. Fallout 33 changed its ending based on customer outcry. This is nothing more than customers organizing to express our opinions. Whether Bioware acts or not depends entirely on them, just as with ANY company which releases a product that receives flak. Barring any official action from Bioware it is felt that at least this may discourage future games from being released with similar endings and false promises. Lastly this is a bit of a support group for unhappy fans to get together with likeminded players, gripe and generally feel a bit less powerless considering alot of us were extremely invested in the series. And eh, its good fun at times and worth some laughs among fellowship.

Well, at least Bioware has sort of commented on the ending. Now we just have to wait and see if they're just trying to calm us down or are actually giving us a good ending.

I have already bought the game and its dlc, no reason to waste money right? Now after the end of ME3, I will not do anymore business till they fix it.

Oh, same here. I wasn't being completely serious since I know there is a difference between the teams though I agree that I can't buy anymore products from Bioware until they fix this....and luckily, I think they will. :D

EVERYONE: I got a message from ForceMuffin. He can't post in the forums yet. However he wanted me to post the following question for his/her friend:

"My friend wants to buy the ME trilogy, Is it worth the experience or should he wait? He knows about the ending being BEYOND bad, but still...."

As for my answer, I REALLY encourage him to buy ME1 and ME2. They're wonderful games. ME is...was....my favorite video game series. As for ME3, I don't know. That's up to him. It's a great game until the last 5-10 mins so the question is: is he willing to pay for that?

Why ought the 'gaming media' be conquered? Why do we have to convince them of anything?

Is it because the gaming media holds the true measure of public opinion?

Isn't public opinion rather being shaped, by whatever interest relationships that 'media' already is in? Why does every big-budget game get a 9.5/10 rating? Instant public approval?

How do you suggest people on this thread convince 'pro reviewers' who don't even bother to play to the end?

We're talking directly to the developers here. Why are you promoting this two-headed beast? Is BioWare going to ask for IGN's permission, to release DLC?

This isn't about Anderson's running animation anymore. We were sold an incomplete product. The moment people awakened to this, ALL bickering about textures, and animations, and whatnot came to an end. This is a serious matter.

And, as others have pointed out, when everything gets reduced to hard-cash-talk, you won't find the people who make the decisions reading super-gaming-mag-X; they might look at Forbes, for instance.

Personally, I think the problem with the ending can easily be rectified with a "post-ending" DLC involving Shepard finding a way to rebuild the mass relays and reuniting with the Normandy crew.

My biggest beef with the ending, though, would actually be in regards to the post-credit scene. In demonstrating that people are still incapable of space-flight in that scene, the game literally forces one ending down your throat; it is far more restrictive than even the minor deviations offered by the choices over use of the crucible. Had the post-credit scene not existed, it would have been possible to some extent to use your imagination to fill in the blanks of the story.

tl;dr: Make DLC involving fixing mass relays & finding Normandy. Remove post-credits scene.
