He dies if you don't save the Rachni Queen.  (afaik)

He can survive even if you don't save the Queen (I didn't save her), I still think that he had to be loyal in ME2

Our efforts amounted to nothing in the end. You will get the same ending no matter what you did.

Maybe DLC with some extra colors for the ending

Extra colours? I just want them to live up to what they advertised to us. I wanted to see the differences and i wanted  to experiance a job well done. Instead we get the colours of the rainbow kid telling us what to do (and our sheps acting like he is brain dead, agrees anyways) , Big ben either gets destroyed or not depending on what you choose and another insulting scene where you see your sheps chest rise ... putting it out there that he survived. Now i dont know about you... but the ending was lazy and insulting.

AND dont get me started on the whole joker/uncharted world/running away from the battle scene!! Tssssk

You do know there is a reason why  Casey... released his statement on Friday... its a  PR tactic used in Politcs all the time..  You release, not good news  on  the weekend sense it  slow on the new cycle. No one is going to cover it and the back lash from it.

Now pick yourself  back... and  Hold this bloody Line   (yes bloody and I'm never from the UK...I from the US.)

Casey is not slick, or the clever... he just thinks he is....

yeahhh, lets see, You lose : Thane, Grunt, Mordin, Perhaps Tali, Perhaps Legion, perhaps Miranda, pehaps a whole lotta people..
I think they got a little caried away on the bittersett part. Nothing sweet about that ending, its just plain bitter..

My Grunt survive... Someone know why?

Nope, he dies if he wasn't loyal in Mass Effect 2

this is absolutely unbelievable! iam curious who donated 10.000$, would be great if that really turned out to be mr.sheen :)

Someone really donated 10k$ ? Wow thats unbelievable! I remember and interview with Charlie Sheen saying he stopped giving his father expensive suits as gifts because every time Sheen senior would give it away to homeless people. This story makes that assumption possible :)

hold the line!

If we keep the pressure on, EA will see that in the end, it will cost them more money to NOT give us what we want ( and what BW promised in the com prior to the game -_- )

It's marketing. If a majority of people just stop playing the game, the DLC's are not going to b e sold. If the people keep playing, then they can sold it. SO if the number of nonplaying people > playing people they WILL have to give us what we want, for the sake of their own purse. It's as simple as that

I hope your right... im just angry with that "colours of the rainbow" kid telling me i have three choices and my Shep acts like he forgot the 3 - 4 years of his life fighting the reapers.... Disgraced.

But im holding the line and will continue with heavey spirits (and annoyance) :)

My Girlfriend played the ending a second time 5 minutes ago it is still.....lets say questionable
as soon as that elevator rises everything fell apart

Never posted on the forums before so here it goes. I just feel like this is not how mass effect should end! This is not how I want to remember the franchise, it deserves so much more!

I have played ME1 around twelve times, and I have played ME2 just as much, so it goes without saying that I have invested heavily into this universe.
So, when I finally came to the end of ME3 I was just baffled that that's how they decided to end the story. It just felt completely out of place and left so many plot holes.
I just don't understand what happened!? I really felt like this was going to be the masterpeice and then the last 15min ruined it completely. Where were my choices?

I always imagned that at the end of the ME3 Commander Shepad would be broken down, that all hope would seem lost. Maybe one of your squadmates would say something like "It's over... we lost..." and that Shepard would go something like "No! I have come to far, accomplished too much for it to end like this!".
Then Shepard inspires everyone to do one last push, one last dessperate move and that's when all your important decisions that you've made along the way would come into play.
And if you've played your cards right, you would get that improbable ending where you survive against all odds.
For me that's what Mass Effect was all about. Overcoming impossible obstacles by uniting and working together, seeing beyond speices or gender and never compromising your core beliefs, be it renegade or paragon.

Anyways, after finishing the game about five days ago I'm just emotionally devastated.
But after coming here and reading how all you guys feel. Well, it makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not the only one who is confused and sad.

(ps. I had no intention of writing this much when I started :P guess I needed to get this out of my system)

Thank you all for making me feel better!

Guys, let's keep it civil.
No bashing anyone here!
We've no problems with those who made the game, we have problems with the endings.
Sure, Bioware screwed up, but, at any rate, they are the only ones that can fix this.
What good will come from berating them?

ya know, i'm kindof of a mind that, if someone wants to prance through the game pickin daisies an singing old ABBA songs, then yeah, the world ends, the galaxy ends, everything goes dark. You lose, but if any effort is put into it at all, then there should be choice. The choice to blow up the universe or save it, the choice to keep living, or, get it over with.. Maybe Shep becomes one of us pscho PTSD types who cant live with the kid in his head and offs himself.. Its still a better ending than ME3, but, Or maybe he's able to get a grip and do something worthwhile ( like the person that wants little blue babies). Or maybe, he/shes just an ordinary person living extraordinary times, doing extraordinary things and once its all done with, really needs a shrink and a shot of vodka.. Thats a different story though. My point is, as we play it, all these choices should be available too us. Not just red blue or green death.

That's why we are so disappointed.
We've invested so many hours, so many feelings in our gameplays, only to get this?
That's why we fight.
For and ending worthy of the Mass Effect series!

Hold the line!

exactly.  when I am told i am going to get different endings this is what I think.  that is really is different endings.  I didn't finish this game to get neopolian strawberry/vanilla/pistachio ice cream.

The "suggested changes" thread is nice, and I hope they do something with the ending, but I think they're still trying to blow us off. Getting us to blow off steam somewhere and then wander away and forget about all this.
So If by next week they haven't made a concrete promise to try and do something about the endings, I'll cancel TOR and state very clearly why when I do it. I have to do something. Being vocal here is good, but I don't think it will be enough, and people *will* get very tired eventually, no matter how much they might want to keep supporting this. Right now might be when our numbers are biggest.

Good plan, I think a lot of people are/have/will cancel their TOR subs. Its a good way for them to understand they are loseing money over this.

That's always how I played my Shepard and in my mind, I was so happy when James gave her the opportunity to just mingle with regular soldiers like she wanted to. My favorite pep talk was when she was feeling a bit down and Anderson tells her they picked her because you can't *pay someone to believe* and she just has the knack for inspiring belief.

Yeah, no matter what happens(ed) my Shep wil always just have been a normal soldier thrust into extraordinary circumstances that wants to retire and have an attempt at a normal life. That's why she romanced a subordinate (Kaidan) and in another playthrough a down to earth alien (Garrus) because they DON'T hero worship her. Obviously the relationship develops but that's what drew her at first.

Heck, for that reason alone she'd have hooked up with James if she'd been given the chance. I loved his character because it reminded me of how I played my Shepard back when I started out in ME1.

I will always love these games but I'll never finish 3 again, the endings just don't fit the story I developed. AAny replays (until we get DLC with a decent ending) will always end with my farewells on earth. I am NEVER running towards that conduit again.

SSV Mortis returning to the Line, will assume recon and escort duties. Think we've got the supply issues sorted out, although the ice cream is still only available in blue, green and red flavours all of which taste the same and leave you with the taste of bile once you've finished eating.

Sit Rep? jumped over 50 pages in the 12 or so hours I've been away.

The ending was supposed to be the most important moment of the entire trilogy ... instead it felt like it was written by a 6 year old with no knowledge of the entire subject.

Don't know if this has been posted, but one of the German leading PC games magazine "Game Star" issued a short report on their web page about the charity and our cause:

www.gamestar.de/spiele/mass-effect-3/news/mass_effect_3,45851,2565923.html

It is important to say that Game Star explicitly stressed in their ME3 review that the ending is definitive and no open questions are left. I am wondering if they played the same game as we had.

Well, i find it to be more ironic/humoristic than pure whining-nonsens/flame/troll.

More importantly, if you look at teh thread, 1600+ reponses without any trace of troll and this is what we are looking for :)
