The "suggested changes" thread is nice, and I hope they do something with the ending, but I think they're still trying to blow us off. Getting us to blow off steam somewhere and then wander away and forget about all this.
So If by next week they haven't made a concrete promise to try and do something about the endings, I'll cancel TOR and state very clearly why when I do it. I have to do something. Being vocal here is good, but I don't think it will be enough, and people *will* get very tired eventually, no matter how much they might want to keep supporting this. Right now might be when our numbers are biggest.

Good plan, I think a lot of people are/have/will cancel their TOR subs. Its a good way for them to understand they are loseing money over this.

I've thought about it, but while TOR has it's problems, if it crashes and burns then so does BioWare which means we'll never get to see a decent ending for ME3.

Also, it'd feel a lot like cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Never posted on the forums before so here it goes. I just feel like this is not how mass effect should end! This is not how I want to remember the franchise, it deserves so much more!

I have played ME1 around twelve times, and I have played ME2 just as much, so it goes without saying that I have invested heavily into this universe.
So, when I finally came to the end of ME3 I was just baffled that that's how they decided to end the story. It just felt completely out of place and left so many plot holes.
I just don't understand what happened!? I really felt like this was going to be the masterpeice and then the last 15min ruined it completely. Where were my choices?

I always imagned that at the end of the ME3 Commander Shepad would be broken down, that all hope would seem lost. Maybe one of your squadmates would say something like "It's over... we lost..." and that Shepard would go something like "No! I have come to far, accomplished too much for it to end like this!".
Then Shepard inspires everyone to do one last push, one last dessperate move and that's when all your important decisions that you've made along the way would come into play.
And if you've played your cards right, you would get that improbable ending where you survive against all odds.
For me that's what Mass Effect was all about. Overcoming impossible obstacles by uniting and working together, seeing beyond speices or gender and never compromising your core beliefs, be it renegade or paragon.

Anyways, after finishing the game about five days ago I'm just emotionally devastated.
But after coming here and reading how all you guys feel. Well, it makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not the only one who is confused and sad.

(ps. I had no intention of writing this much when I started :P guess I needed to get this out of my system)

Thank you all for making me feel better!
<3 from Sweden
I will hold the line!

this is whats great, everyday as more people finish, people start looking for a place to go and then end up joining us.

Don't know if this has been posted, but one of the German leading PC games magazine "Game Star" issued a short report on their web page about the charity and our cause:

www.gamestar.de/spiele/mass-effect-3/news/mass_effect_3,45851,2565923.html

It is important to say that Game Star explicitly stressed in their ME3 review that the ending is definitive and no open questions are left. I am wondering if they played the same game as we had.

I remember that. I remember feeling happy about it too. What a big fat lie that was.

This was/is the best damn game series ever and I'd hate to see it go out with the whimper that that ending was.

Hold the line people! (So proud of you all!)

Or not.

If Bioware goes bust it will be because they refused to make any changes. However if they were to go bust they would try to sell off their assets, which would include the MMO and the Mass Effect brands. Both are likely to be picked up by other companies, and in the case of ME3 it is probable that anyone picking up the titles would do what Bioware refused to do - change the ending - if only so they could continue using the game universe in future games.

I'm still Holding the Line and taking the wait and see approach and i take every one of those statements with a grain of salt. I actually really like reading atghunter's analysis of the statements.

Yeah, I went to a Thai restaurant last night and they made me choose between red and green ice cream, blue wasn't even an option. (Side note: Green Tea ice cream is an interesting experience. I reccommend trying it. Once.)

... isn't this kinda the sort of thing we've been trying to avoid? You know, trying to avoid the whole DIAF screaming response.

Well, i find it to be more ironic/humoristic than pure whining-nonsens/flame/troll.

More importantly, if you look at teh thread, 1600+ reponses without any trace of troll and this is what we are looking for :)

Yeah, I'm just a bit wary of anything with death threats of any type, even humerous ones. Example, an EVE Online player told a Dev to DIAF and got permabanned for it.

Its was weekend  PR dump, so the reaction can not be covered since there is  no one at sites to cover it. They can slide by with out that much bad press from his statement.  I read his statement..

It says nothing,  its arrogant, full of vain pride and its almost down right  condescending...

Some out should drop that in the on of the Bloggers at  Forbes mail box to see what they think..

yep i read that article. gamestar fell a few notches in my personal opinion since then.

there was another article about our movement on their homepage. their arguments were basically that you never really had any choice in ME, those choices were all just an illusion of choice (which to a certain point is correct).

best argument was that other games are much worse, so we have no reason to complain

You need to try Tempura fried green tea ice cream =)
My favorite Japanese restaraunt by me offers it but I don't ever see it at Japanes Grills like Ichiban or Genji's. You should ask around and see if anyone has it. Wasn't sure I'd like it but it was delicious. And that's about the only green ending I'll ever like. :P
