To be honest, for me they don't even have to apologize. They should just fix it.

Yes, if they just tell us that they are going to fix the bloody ending and then acctually do it, I know I'll be satisfied...

I just had an interesting conversation
with someone. My brother has a friend on steam annoyed with people
wanting a new ME3 ending. I had a civilised discussion with him and
found his main problem was alot of the people being offensive with how
they put their view forward and I explained to him how most of us are
good reasonable people.

Just more evidence that if we want to get
people to listen we have to be civilised and not get angry because that
helps no one, least of all the children.

It's from the Retake fundraiser forum. It's very true as well, everyone remember to stay civil. I remember having a conversation with a few people I know as well and they had very similar gripes. They felt that a lot of the people demanding a new ending were being offensive(albeit reddit came up a lot). Just something that I don't think can be stressed enough for our community and our goals. If we want to be taken seriously.

Hold the line.
(Of course we should keep trying to have fun.:D)

We are actually the ones trying to save this franchise. The majority of people will return the game or never think of it again, which hurts sales without the benefit of feedback. By complaining about it and civilly explaining our issues in an organized fashion, we can be taken seriously. But I still believe if they want to save this trilogy, they have to give us new endings.

No one wants more pre end DLC and no one wants another ME game at this point.

This.

Ditto. Just fix it Bioware.

Actually, at this point I'd rather have a public apology from them explaining what they did wrong and why the failed their customer's base than just a quick fix. If they just fixed it, they can simply say it was to "silence us" , the "haters" and "whinners". They would treat us as beggars and throw us a bone (DLC or fix, paid or not). Instead, they need to acknowledge the responsability for everything that went on. It is not OUR fault that the ending is terrible, and it is surely not OUT fault that it needs fixing. It is theirs.

Otherise, next game (DA3) or any other they may soon release, the same thing will happen..

It would however go a long way to patch up the wounds.

Greetings all

I've been lurking these forums for a while now.

When I finished ME3 I was laughing so hard because of the very similar ending to Deus Ex. Made me want to play that game again.

Well I'm just dropping by to tell you all that I'll be holding the line with you guys from the shadows.

I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I am subscribing to Forbes Magazine, also subscribing to Gamefront. Ending all subscriptions to reviewers and gaming mags that fed me a line. That is how the free market works.

I'm still in shock about the fact that this is the actual ending they intended. Does anyone have any idea how something as big as this could fall through the cracks?

Give me a theory someone. Without the whole "time constraints" thing. I mean, if you're writing/ programming the last game in the trilogy, don't you generally start working on the ending early on? For something to work towards?

I'm still calmly and civilly holding the line, but it is taking huge amounts of restraint for me not to spam the board with meme's that contain the phrase:

"MUCH SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE".

I will never forget that childishness for as long as I live. Hold the line.

SSV Mortis returning to the Line, will assume recon and escort duties. Think we've got the supply issues sorted out, although the ice cream is still only available in blue, green and red flavours all of which taste the same and leave you with the taste of bile once you've finished eating.

Sit Rep? jumped over 50 pages in the 12 or so hours I've been away.

Yeah, I went to a Thai restaurant last night and they made me choose between red and green ice cream, blue wasn't even an option. (Side note: Green Tea ice cream is an interesting experience. I reccommend trying it. Once.)

You need to try Tempura fried green tea ice cream =)
My favorite Japanese restaraunt by me offers it but I don't ever see it at Japanes Grills like Ichiban or Genji's. You should ask around and see if anyone has it. Wasn't sure I'd like it but it was delicious. And that's about the only green ending I'll ever like. :P

Yeah, that was an option too, but I figured straight up green tea was good enough for the first try lol. Even tried some sushi (which reafirmed my extreme dislike of seafood and had my Nova Scotian citizens card revoked :P

Never posted on the forums before so here it goes. I just feel like this is not how mass effect should end! This is not how I want to remember the franchise, it deserves so much more!

I have played ME1 around twelve times, and I have played ME2 just as much, so it goes without saying that I have invested heavily into this universe.
So, when I finally came to the end of ME3 I was just baffled that that's how they decided to end the story. It just felt completely out of place and left so many plot holes.
I just don't understand what happened!? I really felt like this was going to be the masterpeice and then the last 15min ruined it completely. Where were my choices?

I always imagned that at the end of the ME3 Commander Shepad would be broken down, that all hope would seem lost. Maybe one of your squadmates would say something like "It's over... we lost..." and that Shepard would go something like "No! I have come to far, accomplished too much for it to end like this!".
Then Shepard inspires everyone to do one last push, one last dessperate move and that's when all your important decisions that you've made along the way would come into play.
And if you've played your cards right, you would get that improbable ending where you survive against all odds.
For me that's what Mass Effect was all about. Overcoming impossible obstacles by uniting and working together, seeing beyond speices or gender and never compromising your core beliefs, be it renegade or paragon.

Anyways, after finishing the game about five days ago I'm just emotionally devastated.
But after coming here and reading how all you guys feel. Well, it makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not the only one who is confused and sad.

(ps. I had no intention of writing this much when I started :P guess I needed to get this out of my system)

Thank you all for making me feel better!

I will hold the line!

Welcome.

Also, I agree with you 100%. Could just as well have posted that myself, nice to see more swedes upset about the ending. Feel like I'm the only one around these parts.

Hold the line!
