I have played ME1 around twelve times, and I have played ME2 just as much, so it goes without saying that I have invested heavily into this universe.
So, when I finally came to the end of ME3 I was just baffled that that's how they decided to end the story. It just felt completely out of place and left so many plot holes.

I always imagned that at the end of the ME3 Commander Shepad would be broken down, that all hope would seem lost. Maybe one of your squadmates would say something like "It's over... we lost..." and that Shepard would go something like "No! I have come to far, accomplished too much for it to end like this!".
Then Shepard inspires everyone to do one last push, one last dessperate move and that's when all your important decisions that you've made along the way would come into play.
And if you've played your cards right, you would get that improbable ending where you survive against all odds.
For me that's what Mass Effect was all about. Overcoming impossible obstacles by uniting and working together, seeing beyond speices or gender and never compromising your core beliefs, be it renegade or paragon.

Anyways, after finishing the game about five days ago I'm just emotionally devastated.
But after coming here and reading how all you guys feel. Well, it makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not the only one who is confused and sad.

(ps. I had no intention of writing this much when I started  guess I needed to get this out of my system)

i could imagine they threw every DLC Plans overboard to make one ending DLC, however that will look like!

First of all, I want to make it clear that I am so much grateful for your work!
Without you, we would not have Mass Effect.
The reason we are so upset about the endings is precisely because we love the Mass Effect series so much.

His thinking is that EAware is still collecting data on whose playing sp and by playing he will add to their thinking that they did things right. Told him I would ask the fleet to get their opinion. What do you think?

I do not trust what he writes Mr.Gamble / Hudson ... have written extensively about how it had to end ME3 ... and has been the opposite.

I don't see why they had to end ME3 in the way their going about it. They have already stated that ME3 would be the end of Shepard journey and any additional games would be before or during the Shepard saga. Why not end it on a good note if this is our final goodbye to Shepard and the ME universe in this time.... IT MAKES NO SENSE, just like the ending

Financially it would be better if they left the ending open so they could milk the crap out of the series later like Halo. That's what I expected EA to push for. I can only think that Bioware somehow didn't want that to happen and did this to protect it from that fate. But if they loved it enough to go that far, why throw the ending out the way they did.

Forgive that, needed to empty my brain.

Probably, I'm more one of the fans of the game to write an email to you. However, I'd like to write this email to you so I could say to you my thoughts.

-snip- Sadness that all that I did was for nothing. And why not a happy ending? One of the reasons is all of us play video game is to be the hero and forget a little of our real world problems. Every day I see murder cases, corruption and poverty stuff here in São Paulo, Brazil. I have to be careful we I go out, because I can be Kidnapped, killed or robbed. Gaming is a way to release pression, to forget a little about your problems and achieve something happy or to know that your choices and hard work mattered. Some tears are getting out of me right now. How stupid, a 20 years old guy, at the end of his college course crying. But when something matters to you, this happens.

I'm writting this email not only because I'm anger or sad because the ending was not what I expected. I'm writting because it matters to me.
I want to thank you for your time. I know that a lot of people are writting, pariticipating right now on BSN (#retakemasseffect), facebook and twitter to get a new ending, not only a happy pink butterfly ending, but one that our choices matter and you can choose to achieve a sad/"real" ending or a happy/unreal(maybe) one. But we all are doing that because this matter to us. If the game did not mattered, nobody would be writting emails, talking about or asking. They would simply sell the copies and never play anymore. We are doing this because it matter to us. Please listen to us, and give us a better ending
