Mass Effect 3 was one of the greatest journeys of all time with one of the worst endings of all time. And to see what was once the most promising original IP of this generation crash and burn in its final minutes despite sailing high above the clouds only moments before is what breaks my heart the most.
So please, Bioware, I beg of you: Don't try and turn this into another bait-and-switch ala Dragon Age 2(which I don't think was nearly as bad as some people make it out to be, personally, but it was NOTHING compared to the excellence that was Origins). Don't lead us along with a carrot on a stick only to give us nothing in the end. Please, listen to your fans and give us what we are asking for: Better endings, more options, and a full sense of closure to this excellent trilogy.
Join us in holding the line, let's make it happen.
For the sake of ME3 and for the sake of games to come

I'm sorry you guys are so upset... I don't mean that in a patronizing way because I really wish everyone could be as happy and satisfied with the ending as I am. I love Mass Effect, start-to-finish, and I'd think that if there's any place to express that love and share it, it'd be in a fan forum. Where did all the fans go? I know you're going to say that it's because you're fans that you're demanding a better ending, but I'm here to say that it couldn't have ended any other way.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree. Look, it's nice that you liked the endings, but I was promised several different endings that would bring a satisfying conclusion to the tasks I accomplished and decisions I made throughout the series. What I got? Red. Blue. Green. And you know what? I'm not a fan. I'm a gamer. I'm not obligated to accept whatever they through down on the plate and say it couldn't have ended any other way.

Hi all, I saw an interesting thing when I was browsing Amazon.ca today.
It seems the price of ME3 has dropped from59.99to 56.41 and currently has a rating of only 2 1/2 stars.
Also, this is the top post in the comments:
An excellent final chapter in Commander Shepard's story which is
completely spoiled by a nonsensical, cop-out of an ending - one which
was basically directly ripped from the original Deus Ex. Not only does
the ending spoil what would otherwise be an excellent game, it also
destroys the replay value of all the previous games in the series. And
no, I'm most definitely *not* exaggerating.
Do yourself a favour
and give it a pass. Or even better, donate the money to the charity
"Child's Play" which provides games and toys to sick children.
Im, as always,
Holding the Line.
Now, that's bound to get some attention.
Thanks for the info!

I'm fine with ripping off the first or the third, I can't really imagine anyone trying to rip off the second. It'd be like trying to rip off Star Control 3. 95% of people wouldn't get the joke, and the other 5% of people would probably just end up lighting you on fire.
Heh. I actually liked DE2. And I still can't stand the ending to ME3. What does that say about how bad it is?
At least it had an epilogue that told you something. Not the

You do exist!
I jest. Thanks for the opinion though. I loved ME3 as well, right up until the end.. it's the first game where I've actually randomly talked to my mom about it during our weekly get together. She doesn't even like video games but I loved explaining the choice-consequence thing and she seemed fascinated by it.
She asked the other day "How was that game you were playing" and my quick answer was "great, til they ran out of time and slapped together the ending".
I don't mind the story ended on a sad note.. but the worst movies end on sad notes, the best movies end on sad notes but remind you that life goes on. They should have had epilogues showing relatives, family, strangers picking up the pieces, people helping each other out because of your example. A mention here or there showing a disagreement and one of your squad mates saying "No. This isn't how sheppard would have wanted it" and diffusing the situation.
Instead it ended on plot holes, a character not even introduced until the last 10 minutes, and continuity errors of the scope that got the Mass Effect Novel CHANGED by Bioware for not meeting their standards.

I stared at the screen for 10 minutes, swore a lot then curled up into a ball and whimpered for a few hours.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree. The series could definitely have ended in another way than with some god child giving you 3 options of stopping the Reapers that all end virtually the same.

...what? So the series had to end with a god child AI showing up and creating plot holes big enough to fly the reaper armada through? It had to end with Joker running away like a coward and your party members magically teleporting on board?
As for your post. The God Kid AI's "logic" for lack of a better term, boils down to this.
