And can BroShep have beard?

After such great games like Baldurs gate, and baldurs gate 2, Dragon age origins, KOTOR and plansecape torment and of course Mass effect 1,2 and 99% of mass effect3 I fell in love with a company called bioware then had my heart and soul ripped out from me, all the hours spent with all of the great charachters now a complete waste of time.

I will never stop holding this line until this matter is resolved. Bioware I still have a slight bit of faith prove my faith is not misplaced.

Actually I liked it. The makeup was too gaudy in the previous games.

This was the first time I was able to use the pink lipstick on my Shepard without it looking overdone.

In light of the 1.85 million in the first week for ME 3. ME 2 had over 2 million in that time, and that doesn't even include the PS 3 version that didn't exist. Here it apparently was 22% of the sales. Overall xbox and PC sales for week one was almost 27% less than ME 2, despite the huge marketing campaign.

In other words, our discontent has had an influence.

You're exactly right. I dont have too much spare cash laying around, paying for college and living costs etc, but I just donated 5 USD its not much but if a large number of people chip in it stacks up quickly.

Everyone can spare at least a few bucks, besides it goes to a very good cause.

Some of us already donate to Child's Play at various times throughout the year. I just recently donated another $25, but not as part of this drive (because it didn't exist at the time). Then, there are going to be people who just can't afford it right now. Don't expect everyone to participate in this particular drive and be disappointed when it doesn't happen. Be proud of what the group already has accomplished and pleasantly surprised by what it continues to do.

Oh, I liked the lipstick. I just thought the eyes made no difference at all. I tried to pick on and they were all...the same. I wonder how it would have looked like if my imported FemShep had her face imported as well.

Fact of the matter is, BW is an amazing company. They've made some truly great games over the years. I personally couldn't get into DA:O or DA2 just because I'm not a huge fan of the fantasy genre (much preferring Sci-Fi) but I've heard mostly great things about them as well.

Mass Effect, as a whole, was brilliantly written and brought to life over the last several years. The third game was great except for the ending, and all in all they pulled things together beautifully and, I think, did a great job of sticking to the universe and the rules of their world. Sure, the sudden appearance of a giant space-gun that can kill the Reapers seemed a little convenient, but at least it was rooted somewhere in the lore and could be accepted as part of the story.

But I just can't see them messing up the ending this badly unless it was on purpose. It's like the ending of ME2 with the suicide mission - in order to get the "bad" ending where everyone dies, you have to INTENTIONALLY try for it. You have to REALLY try HARD to get that horrible a result out of what you've been doing.

Given the skill I've seen from BioWare over the years, starting when I got KOTOR in 2005, this just doesn't make sense. I can't believe they could mess up this badly this quickly right at the END of not only the game but also the trilogy.

Maybe I've just been drinking too much of the Indoctrination Theory Kool-Aid, but... I'm at least trying to be hopeful that this isn't the end of Commander Shepard. This brilliant, well-thought-out story simply cannot go out like this. That said, I'm going to stick to my (metaphorical) guns and wait this out until we get an answer, one way or another.

Sadly it really doesn't take much for a company to completely derail.   Some of us may remember the shuttle exploding on take off the florida coast.  At the end of the day it was discovered that in order to maintain corporate culture, people who were issuing concerns about safety were being actively ignored and evenutally you either got in line with the company line or you got shut out.  This phenom is known as 'group think'.  It happens in corporations all the time.  Think how heavily vested these people are, spending hundreds of ours developing concepts and producing work.  Who wants to think that what you've done is not great.  While th loss of the shuttle cannot be compared to this, the phenom is still relevant for this.  One of the reasons I am hopeful that Bioware will try to address in some way this current situation.  Everyone in business knows this happens, but businesses that want to succeed try do everything they can to stop it.

Group thnk also works on the customer base end as well.  And businesses that want to succeed don't want to bcome the urban dictionary definition for epic fail.

Understandable. I know it's highly unlikely that the Indoc Theory is right, and this is probably exactly what the cynical side of me thinks it is - an enormous blunder on the part of BW/EA. Guess I just had to play the other side of the argument for a minute.

Either way, I don't support the methods they're using, intentional or not. I just don't want to be forced to give up faith on a company I've loved and supported this long.

This prevents us from going on to read other posts, and hearing other fan feedback.
