A suggestion I heard that makes sense is to make your malcontent known. Fine, its well established here in the BSN network where we have a half dozen threads on how much we hate the ending. But elsewhere in other big gaming media outlets and companies you need to really put it in their faces that this ending is truly horrible and really really needs to be changed. And not just because we're a bunch of raging fans. But because this thing flies in the face of anything of literary value no matter what genre your in and because Bioware blatantly lied about its bottom line product. I'm going to go post in the IGN boards and forums about this and onto some other media outlets, it'd definitely be a morale boost to see some reinforcements with me to back up my point.
The more of the media you have admitting you might have a point, the greater your chances are to get this changed
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Already been there, told them, they will not see any more money from me, untill the ME3 endings are fixed.
I will hold the line!
I put You fix Mass Effect 3's ending and I'll sign back up the next day. Which with hindsight is proberbly untrue as I was going to not carry on with it any way. My laptop is pants for games lol.

maybe we could put a multi-lingual poll on one of the retakeME3 websites.Pyewacket wrote...

well according to some, 1 vote in a poll equals 10 angry (though lazy) people. Following that logic we represent around 500,000 people. EA sold 1.85 million copies so we represent around 27% of customers. The problem is, some people don't speak English (amazing, right?) so you'd need to take into account European and Asian markets. If we can we should start a poll in other languages.
That's a really good idea. Can anyone do that?

Just watch out for them typos.

I for one will be ending my supscription soon if they don't answer us in one week.
I'm with you there, though my subscription is on a 6 month lease so they have a little bit more time with me. I, however, have not logged in since this mess started. And I'm a guild leader. I've just... not been in the right frame of mind for it
I haven't had the heart to tell my co-guild leader that I'm done. He's not a ME fan, so I seriously doubt he'd understand, but it is what it is.
I'm with you guys. I haven't played in a month or so due to other things, but I had planned on getting back into it. But as for now, my subscription is canceled and I hate to say it, the ending did have an effect on that decision. I just felt let down by what I believe to be an obvious disconnection with their fan base when it came to how to end the series. They wanted "art".... we wanted a game where our choices and hard work mattered like in the first couple of games (especially 2).
Just make sure you put the reasons you canceled in the comments section and keep it civil.

Second, as I catch up reading all the posts from overnight, I must once again say how honored I am to be a part of this group of gamers. For someone who started back with an atari 2600, I have never seen this kind of unity and more importantly positivity towards a game/cause within our comminity. Thank you for allowing me to hold the line with you brothers and sisters!
will that do?

In light of the 1.85 million in the first week for ME 3. ME 2 had over 2 million in that time, and that doesn't even include the PS 3 version that didn't exist. Here it apparently was 22% of the sales. Overall xbox and PC sales for week one was almost 27% less than ME 2, despite the huge marketing campaign.
In other words, our discontent has had an influence.
The lower initial figures might also be related to DA2. There were more than a few people who canceled pre-orders on the basis of than game, opting to 'wait and see' what the people who played the game thought rather than relying on reviewers.
Yes, players can remember things for longer than 10 minutes...especially if they think someone just screwed them over.

Also, everyone continue to be civil. I can honestly say this is one of the only times I've logged in multiple times to an online thread because it usual devolves very quickly to something ugly and childish that I have no wish to be part of but everyone here has been so kind and genuine it really makes me happy and makes me think we might have a positive impact on Bioware in the end. Maybe the writers and artists wanted more time for a complete ending but weren't given by the higher powers that time. Maybe we can ensure they get the right time.

Never before have so many come together from all corners of the Bioware Forums, but never before have we faced an ending as bad as this, the PR guys developers and trolls will show us no mercy we must give them no quarter but remain polite. They will try and break the line with gifts and false hope we must stand strong in the face of theese gimmicks, they will advance until the last poster gives up, But we wil not fall! we will prevail.
Future games will be defined by the actions of this coming battle developers will think twice before they rush an ending, Stand fast stand strong stand together do not break the line!
(maybe a bit melodramatic lol and i have nothing but respect for bioware and the developers but also disappointment over the endings, unless this is changed i am done with bioware products.

Nice to see that whoever put that in made mention of the fact that we're being civil wish the dispel the perception that we're angry and entitled. I say we're not so much angry as we are extremely disappointed. It also mentions that we're actually raising money for charity (though we're actually double that amount now).

I want to post on that thread where Bioware is asking us what we want them to fix, but I can't bring myself to do it. There are so many things they can do with the ending to fix that I'm not sure what to say. I kind of want them to look at all the potential endings and choose it for themselves. It can't be hard; they wrote a 95% awesome game. They just ruined 5% of it.
i took the poll and got a headache. have no desire to initiate contact again.

Thats basically what I said in my post on there. I don't want to write me3. I just know what I don't want in terms of an ending.
Also bioware really needs a BSN iPhone app. It's really annoying refreshing the forums on safari here lol
