So we can't get the ending we want after all?

After reading the posts here and looking at numerous youtube videos I realised it wasn't me who had done something wrong but the ending that was so out of character. I wish I could add more to the disscution but what I would have said has already been noted by other people far more eloquently than I could ever put across.
So let me just say this I hope they release an alternate ending because the trust they gained with Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 along with Dragon age origins will be gone along with my money.

Here it goes:
Dear BioWare!
This letter is sent to you in support of the #RetakeMassEffect movement.
I'm your loyal customer and a fan of Mass Effect trilogy for about 5 years, and now I'm asking you to change the ME3 endings.
I will not lecture you about the plot holes and that player choices does not matter – I guess you're already sick of the deluge of polls, forums postings, media articles which cover all the issues with the ME3 endings. I don't know what was the reason for so bad written endings – lack of resources, release date pressure, or you did this on purpose. It doesn’t matter. What matter is this: we were promised the endings which are determined by all our actions in Mass Effect trilogy universe, but instead we feel deceived.
I want to tell you only one thing: you should consider this movement not at the threat, but as the opportunity to regain the trust you've lost due to the last 10 minutes of ME3 story, as well as opportunity to make the ME3 even more profitable for BioWare and EA (the happy customer will definitely buy new DLCs, the angry won't).
And it's your choice now: either you will be remembered as “those guys who mastered the greatest sci-fi saga in history, but blew it totally at the end”, or as “those who listen to their customers and fans and who can admit and fix their mistakes”. These are two options, which is much better than the single Red-Green-Blue Explosion option you left for us in ME3.
Hope you select the right option – for the good of you and your loyal fans.
Sincerely,
your fan and the proud member of #RetakeMassEffect movement,

Ok, how polite should i be in my e-mail to bioware?
As polite as you can be.
No bashing at all.
We have to be reasonable.
Should I put in my name or username at the bottom?
If the e-mail you're using is attached to your account, just use your real name. They can look up your user name if they want off of the e-mail address. If you want to make sure that they know, no reason you can't put both.

Actually made the effort to read through all of this, and I think you did a very good job.TSC_1 wrote...

You eloquently convey the reasons why the ending is bad, by simultaneously hinting your love for the franchise and your appreciation for the writing in general.
The one thing that I might add is more feedback regarding how the end should be. We can't give them any wrong ideas there.
I too, would be willing to - grudgingly - pay for ending dlc, under the condition that we would get something that actually measures up to the series as a whole. In all your talk about promises (some of which I think weren't actually made) you forgot one of the most important ones regarding this issue: "16 different endings" - when in fact we got 1.
That's cheap, that's lazy, that's borderline insulting.
All the major decisions in all the games, the surviving crewmembers and allies, and the EMS of ME3 should matter. I want to see that Volus bombing run. I want to see those living Elcor Tanks I've saved. I want to see the Thanix cannons that many fleets equipped due to the Tech I've salvaged do some actual damage. There's so much that could happen based on what we did.

I felt that I needed to add my thoughts to this movement. I have seen my friends' emails giving extremely detailed descriptions of what when wrong in our eyes. I will simply add that real life is bleak enough right now. All you have to turn on the news or stop by the unemployment offices to see this. I don't play games to add more of this feeling in my life. I understand the idea of a hero's sacrifice completely. But at least make the sacrifices (plural because there were many Shepards) mean something and give us some meaningful closure after hundreds of hours of time and emotional investments.
I will also note that I have been playing video games since the Atari 2600. I have never seen a gaming community as united in purpose as I see them now. The simple fact that a discussion thread on your server can go over 1600 pages long while staying on topic, and staying on an overall positive note is strong evidence of this. I truly feel that this momentum is not something that will go away soon without a definitive and clear statement of your plans.
Your company has done amazing things in the past. I hope you will continue to create amazing things in the future. I, and many others, want to be a part of that. Please, help restore our faith. Please allow us to go to others and tell them that the ME series finished as strongly as it started. Help us be some of the best advertising you could get. Please, let our movement say, "Bioware made things right."
Sincerely and still holding the line,
**

I'd tone it down a bit, myself. In the last paragraph paragraph it sounds like you're are issuing them an ultimatum to me. Best to keep it as calm as possible.

Hello everyone I'm one of those quiet so called lurkers. After finishing mass effect 3 I wondered what happened to the ending and why none of my choices weren't represented in the last mission (why didn't I see the geth or the quarians or the rachni fighting and why only the four major races were shown fighting down on earth) and so I went to the internet to see if I had done something wrong. If only that were true.
After reading the posts here and looking at numerous youtube videos I realised it wasn't me who had done something wrong but the ending that was so out of character. Welcome to the movement. Remember to stay polite, keep bashing to a minimum. We're writing letters to BioWare (E-mail and snail-mail) today. Also, we have our fundraiser. There is also a Facebook page, and a survey... I forget where the survey is.
There is a post from a previous PR guy analyzing what BioWare is saying: here.
This is the post from BioWare wanting our input on the game as a whole(good and bad).
There is news spread all over of varying degrees. Take heart in the fact we're making headway. Hold the line.

Meh, scratch that.. just another OOOO its art and cant be changed geek.. When are these people gonna realize this is a product, we have these resoncibilities to insist that a company delivers what is advertised??
There goes people thinking the only reason we are mad is because we didn't get sunshine, lollipops and rainbows for an ending.
Aw, come on, that's not it!
We are mad because the end strips Mass Effect of everything that makes it good: a chance to fight against that which is presented to us, and acknowledgment of the choices we made along the way.
Heck, we were promised our choices would matter.
And it doens't end there.
The endings really don't make sense. Not to me, anyway.
