Casey Hudson promises more endings new endings and more closure.

WE HELD THE LINE.  CONGRATULATIONS! o.

I realize it's still a bit ambiguous, but the fact Kotaku is posting it tells me that it's probably everything we've been asking for. :D

I just read the article and it's a statement made by Hudson a very little while ago. But I do not see anything regarding a *promise* for new endings, more closure and whatnot.

Me neither. The article title hints at it, but Hudson doesn't.

Let's keep the line people, and don't start wavering in the face of promises.
Words are cheap.
We need to keep this up until the actual release of a satisfactional ending.

Hold the line!

Not going anywhere.. Just figured I'd be a bit more optimistic in my posting, no point depressing the troops.

I'm holding the line till there's a press release saying <insert DLC> will fix endings in Mass Effect 3

Image IPB

Holding the line until I see the fixed endings downloaded onto my computer and know they aren't just more of the same.

Don't bite that bait yet. It's from here social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/10089946

Kotaku has a way of messing things up. If I was not for the fact that I'm such a civil and deligihtful person I would probably say ALOT of nasty things about them *innocently smiles*^_^

Just Kotaku generating klicks for money. Tells my a lot about their quality of work.

Casey never promised that.

Thats why:

Stay Calm. Stay Civil.

HOLD THE LINE!

Never forget Marauder Shields.

I all fairness he promised closure pre release and we all know how that turned out.

I'm checking this site out (http://transcripts.c...2012.03.17.html) to see if anything about it comes up.

Nah, just the one we already saw, being somewhat overinterpreted by a news-site

"We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending—to do otherwise would betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make along the way. "

I really don't agree. I'm all for a bittersweet ending or even several, but theres nothing wrong with having *one* ending that ends happily or a least happier. We've journeyed so long with this character it would not be a betrayal to see her alive and reunited with her LI and people shes been fighting for so long with and for.

"Still, we wanted to give players the chance to experience an inspiring and uplifting ending"

Really? Because all I felt was depressed and a sense of hopelessness...:crying:

Nope, just Kotaku making its own interpretation about the latest Casey's statement.

No, no, no, and a fourth "no". Nothing is confirmed. Old statement of Hudson's, Kotaku trying to act like oblivious idiots again.

Nothing is confirmed. Nothing has been won or lost. We keep holding the damn line.

Thing about the way that Kotaku article is written, is the headline and how they phrase everything kind of puts the pressure on BW to follow through. If they don't they end up looking like failing on a promise (which they kind of already did and Kotaku didn't especially call them out on it so that may render this whole post moot)

*takes a swig and stumbles onto the Line.*

Ok, yeah, that press release by Hudson promises more DLC. It also promises collaboration with fans. It does NOT promise ending DLC.

"This is not the last you'll hear of Commander Shepard." Is probably the closest thing you'll get to a promise of ending DLC. However, that could mean several things, its quite vague.

Just stay focused until we get a formal announcement of DLC plans/the next DLC.

Nothing as been stated this way, quite the contrary. People jumped up on a line that said " we seen people wanted more closure and time to say goodby to shepard " ( Assomption 1 is ok, 2 is bullpoo )

But they didn't get the " We wanted a bittersweet ending, doing otherwise you be betrayal of the agonizing decision shepard made etc etc "

For me, he said exactly the opposit of what we want. But it's not too late.

Hold the line FTW o/

I don't think it's fair to call Kotaku a news-site, I mean it's just rude against the others:P

And also if anyone from Kotaku is reading this, YES I DON'T LIKE YOU

Hold the line!

Huzzah! Whilst this from Casey Hudson still sounds ambiguous it is a glimmer of hope! There seems to have been a switch around in the media about who is 'entitled' and 'spoilt'.
If this turns out to be true and we WIN, then I can't think of a better group of people to have done it with. *Raises glass* Cheers!

I dont believe him 'till I see it with my own eyes.

So, Im just going to boycote the game. And hold the line!

There are no promises there.
I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

You know...reading all of Jessica's tweets there, and trust me, I think she has been really cool throughout the process, I think everyone is getting way too much false hope out of them.  All of them are basically telling you to play out that scenario in your mind.

Between Casey typing a bunch of words but not saying anything and this realization, just getting frustrated again.  I really wish they would just come out with the truth of "No, we are not really considering a new ending.  This was our vision and this is how we are ending it."  Granted, I would be like WAY happier with "Yep.  New ending DLC on the way at some point.  Just be patient."  Eh...I am just taking choice C and turning everyone into cyborgs because that falls right in character as to what Shepard would do?:(

Considering Kotaku was ripping us for wanting a new ending, doesn't anything its suspicious they would mistake Mr. Hudson's comments for additional endings? All Mr. Hudson said was its not the last you'll hear of Commander Shepard. That could be any number of DLC. Until an official statement is issued directly from Bioware, we MUST hold the line.
