While I agree with most of those points, they're all a bit too general.

We want to be reinforcing what we specifically want to see from the ending, I.e. Shepard reuniting with his LI, the crew's future, the races future.

A true resolution for the characters.

Just forced myself to replay the ending just to check I hadn't missed something, only thing I really picked up on was this:

After being hit by the beam its not clear how much time actually passes before Shepard regains conciousness. Joker could have picked up the squadmates then believing you were dead. However if that was the case why didn't they at least try and look for you or make contact via radio? Still doesn't really fill a plot-hole you could lose the citadel in (oh wait, we did).

Just a thought, holding the line for the sake of getting the multiple endings we were promised.

Nah, the English Major is asking if anyone has made it to the beam. No way much time has passed.

After centuries of worshiping the creator of the galaxy and all life on it, followers of The Shepard broke off into different cults, culminating in long, bloody and atrocious battles, war and crusades over whether he was Paragade or Renegon, and whether he truly loved Liara or Tali [insert appropriate LI where necessary].

Let Shepard die as a hero, so that future generations remember him as a galactic Hector.

Not a messiah. Because the 'messianic twist' comes at the last minute and it convinces no one; it's utterly hollow. Just like the Matrix 2-3 abominations.

How about we let him live as a hero..  Wall street parades, giddy girls and limosines too boot, or, better yet, how bout we allow for both endings, one where he dies, and one where he lives..???

Everybody, I am really proud that the Mass Effect fan base can fight for this franchise so hard. It really shows how this universe amazed us, and brought together. We will never let this universe die!

Hold the line!

I can't read "AC" as Assassin's Creed.

It's Ace Combat, or Armored Core.  Better series.

I'm the same with MW - for me it stands for MechWarrior.  Also a much better series.

 I forgot to mention this:

As I went to the post office to drop off my letter to Bioware, I was met at the counter by an adorable clerk at the counter.  He took one look at the letter and one look at me and said, "Hated the ending too, huh?" :D

I told him my feelings on it (ignoring the impatient, disgruntled looks of the customers behind me) to which he replied, "Hold the line, brother", taking my envelope from my hand.

That... made my day....

That's INCREDIBLE! :D

LOL. True story?

Calm down there guy, I was just trying to link the prince getting slapped 3 times, geez.

I am calm, hence only one eclamation mark, it's been stated many times in this thread that embedded and quoted images could be seen as spam and thus risk getting the thread closed.

You think they would close this thread? lol no

So, in the interest of upholding the most recent update to the initial post of

http://social.biowar...ndex/10084349/1

That thread, we should come up with some agreed-upon bullet points for what our message is. Here's my proposal.

  • The game's ending to meet our expectations as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
What do you guys think?

I think that's it, that's what we are doing.
Oh, maybe we should add something about what we were promised, not only expecting.

Ohh, good point :)

Revised:
  • The game's ending to meet what we were promised as consumers.

Damn. I wish Bioware had thought of that.

Just recalled Dr Manuel from the start of ME1:

"Is it madness to see the future, to see the destruction rushing towards us, to understand there is no escape, no hope"

In retrospect i now understand him so well...

That's pretty dirty right there. At school on Friday I ended up being ten minutes late to a class because I overheard some kids talking about the game, ranting insued. I didn't even know who they were. It is impressive just how large our ranks are.

Hold the line.

That would probably not be wise, but we do not need to get them any reason.

Just ignore people like him, except for the people already hating they don't really get any foothold with people. :pinched:

I can't ignore untruths about this movement, I'm afraid.

I don't mind replying :)  I don't go back after I do; I just present the facts as best as I'm able to, and let them make of them what they may.

 hold the line.
for the kids version

meh, i wish i was angry and disappointed more often. maybe i would actually get stuff done for college and my projects.
but do you know how hard it is to make various vectors of kirrahe? drinking less would of course also help i suppose.
same rules as always, you want a bigger/different version, just message me. you want the original vector files? message me. blablabla. credit would always be nice, but i suppose i can live without any. :3

oh, and if anyone has any suggestions- please, please don't hesitate to tell me. i'm currently itching to make stuff.
