I didn't think an ending could be as bad as the one we got though.

I'm back to feeling down now that I've been thinking about the ending... :(

Edit: Holy missing words.

Any news about the DLC?
By the way. I don't understand why Shepards accepts everything that the "god child" says without saying anything. The kid says that the sintetics always will kill the organics, but if you have united the geths and the quarians, this is not true. And what about EDI?, she considers herself an actual live being, as Shepard and the entire Normandy does. So the purpose of the reapers cycle is a lie (prevent the humans of being killed by sintetics). If Shepards has proved during his journey that an alliance between organics and sintetics is possible, why can't he refute what the god child says?.

Hold the line.

Just ignore people like him, except for the people already hating they don't really get any foothold with people. :pinched:

Same here. Don't fall for this. STAY  CALM!
Everybody has the riht to see it in his/her way. Shure, it would be better if we could discuss with the author.
But now its to late. STAY CALM AND HOLD THE LINE.

In case you forgot: STAY CALM. We're against space magic :wizard: not people critisizing us.

After centuries of worshiping the creator of the galaxy and all life on it, followers of The Shepard broke off into different cults, culminating in long, bloody and atrocious battles, war and crusades over whether he was Paragade or Renegon, and whether he truly loved Liara or Tali [insert appropriate LI where necessary].

Let Shepard die as a hero, so that future generations remember him as a galactic Hector.

Not a messiah. Because the 'messianic twist' comes at the last minute and it convinces no one; it's utterly hollow. Just like the Matrix 2-3 abominations.

How about we let him live as a hero..  Wall street parades, giddy girls and limosines too boot, or, better yet, how bout we allow for both endings, one where he dies, and one where he lives..???

Yeah, absolutely. But in scenarios where he's getting killed, we really don't need the last-minute messianic sauce poured all over us.

I mean, what's messianic about this guy, apart from his name?

Lucas tried a 'virgin birth' number for Anakin; people have been ridiculing his relationship to his mother, and his midichlorian count ever since.

That thread, we should come up with some agreed-upon bullet points for what our message is. Here's my proposal.

Revised:

  • The game's ending to meet what we were promised as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.

Ah, now that's what I'm talking about.

If what we purchased was a toaster instead of a game and it worked fine up until it was done making the toast, at which point the toast burst into flames. Then the complaints would be portrayed very different.

Yeah, I think this is good in general for what our complaints are. Its hard to go into detail without it ending up like a wall of text. So I support this.

I wrote this earlier;

Someone made the point that we need to outline exactly what it is we are asking for, beyond 'a changed ending'.

Here goes *gulp*

We want...Shepard to live, Shepard to die. Shepard to ride off into the sunset with his friends, to retire with the love of his life, to become the hero of the ages or to be mourned for making the ultimate sacrifice. We want to see the effects of our decisions through 3 games, which races rose and which fell. We want to know if our companions fade into obscurity or rise to greatness.

We want closure, we want sense we want to be able to make these choices based on all three games.

We want the ending we were told we would get.

I like both of you guys posts they both outline what we want very well.

for the kids version

meh, i wish i was angry and disappointed more often. maybe i would actually get stuff done for college and my projects.
but do you know how hard it is to make various vectors of kirrahe? drinking less would of course also help i suppose.
same rules as always, you want a bigger/different version, just message me. you want the original vector files? message me. blablabla. credit would always be nice, but i suppose i can live without any. :3

oh, and if anyone has any suggestions- please, please don't hesitate to tell me. i'm currently itching to make stuff.

How about something to do with an actual visual representation of the "line"?
That could be interesting, I think.

 I forgot to mention this:

As I went to the post office to drop off my letter to Bioware, I was met at the counter by an adorable clerk at the counter.  He took one look at the letter and one look at me and said, "Hated the ending too, huh?" :D

I told him my feelings on it (ignoring the impatient, disgruntled looks of the customers behind me) to which he replied, "Hold the line, brother", taking my envelope from my hand.

That... made my day....

That's INCREDIBLE! :D

LOL. True story?

Yes it is a true story. I was practically skipping home lol

I'm not angry; as I said before, I just go to whatever of these I find or find out about, look it over, and type up a fact-filled post that is civil and mannerly.  Then I do not return; I let them come to their own conclusions :)
