The only problem is it's not the only SciFi franchise to go in that direction... Star Wars? The Star Trek movies starring the cast of TNG?
Yes indeed, Star Trek: Nemesis pulled the same gambit. The punchline? That ending would have made more sense and been more poignent if they hadn't cut out a scene where Picard and Data discuss the philosophy and concept of death. The result was—you guessed it—a critical paddling session. And no more Star Trek films.

I just thought of something that could be a viable solution to the paid vs free dlc ending.
How would you feel if they were to charge 10$ for the dlc and donate 50% of the proceeds to child's play. Not only would they make money off of it they would look like the good guys for giving money to the charity drive.
If you like that could you tell me where a place to let BW know about it is.
You know, as much as I think asking for any money to fix a broken game would be a humiliating disaster for BW in the long run. If they insisted on doing so that *might* be a reasonable compromise.

No Grunt doesn't necessairly die. I saved the Queen and when the squad boarded the shuttle they head Grunt asking for something to eat. Also Wrex was alive.laughing sherpa girl wrote...
If you save the Rachni queen, grunt dies ( off camera ) and you get a love letter from Wreav explaining how youve just become his new after the war obcession.. The peace will last, cuz he's too busy hating you..
Therefore, I still want to know what happens after the war.

That's actually a really good idea, I mean I personally think the likely hood of getting it free is very very unlikely. So this is a good compromise.

Ya know whats really sad?? Me, sitting here, wanting to play a game, and thinking that, if i play Fable: TLC, maybe i can kick some chickens, cut a fart or three, embarrass the ladies and fry the eyebrows off a guard. But the saddest part of all, is: This is preferable to ME3???
::sigh::
you are not playing fable instead you are sitting on forum boards crying about a video game ending then forcing someone to change it to make you happy.. that's REALLY sad. Bioware isn't your daddy and the book he's reading to you before bed isn't Mass Effect. Daddy isn't going to change the ending for you.. stop crying and go to sleep

Everyone I would like to politely suggest that we accumulate the various arguments we have made against the terrible endings and that we also coordinate our efforts into keeping morality strong. Find funny videos, provide an ear for your comrades to listen to, remember, united we stand and we cannot do this alone. We need to remain strong.

Everyone should vote in the above thread as well as it provides even ground and many options but not enough to dillute our point, people, please.

Agreed. This kind of compromise would be more than acceptable, particularly if the ending we do get is in fact what we asked for and is well worth the price of admission.

Talking about lazy developers and not only plotholes but messed up endgame in general, like featureless dolllike bodies at Citadel... One more thing about ending (it's more like technical glitch though): after the reaperchild gives you "choose the color" options, game autosaves. If you quit and load this last autosave, he won't be there, just Shepard standing infront of the intersection.
Isn't that an improvement? :innocent:

I would think a visual representation would be
all the races that we know of in that galaxy stand together in a line formation via a panoramic view.
All of them pissed off and in the background is shepard in the rubble from the scene with him taking a breath.
that would look awesome!

Happens if you fail too actually (just mess around for long enough or approach one of the options then walk away. Critical mission failure: the Crucible has been destroyed)Discrepancy wrote...

"So they would have us believe."
"Will I ever go to the stars?"
"Didn't you pay attention to what happened?"
"Tell me another story about The Shepard."
"What's the point, you know it ends in misery now."

That is my thinking as well, since we are unlikely to get it free then it would make me feel better about giving them money if some of it was going to support something other then BW's bank account. Also this would generate an enormous amount of money for the charity drive.xHezz90 wrote...
