It's been a long day, so I am now going off for some sleepy time.
I'll be coming back tomorrow.

And keep on holding that line!
Try to not play anything EA/Bioware.

Cake out!

Low on crumpets? We got plenty left in the Welsh quarter of the Fleet.

I am a Londoner, but I was born in Bangor and would like to propose a toast of toasted crumpets to our mighty 6 nations win. The Welsh in me (the important part of me) helps me to overcome anything until victory. Like our proud boys did, we will hold the line!

People keeps saying 'i don't mind if Shepard dies, as long as it is worth it, etc'. Sorry but for me that doesn't cut it, because my Shep doesn't die (by 'doesn't' I mean 'shouldn't'), as that's not my story... I think we should be able to live (more than just taking a breath in some rubble) if we make the right choices and work our asses off. Maybe i'm just wanting too many rainbows, but as choices are supposed to master in these games, I choose rainbows.

Am I just way to selfi- optimistic?

Not at all. If a game has sixteen different endings you'd think that the protaganist would live in ONE of those endings! I am in the camp that doesn't mind if Shepard lives or dies, but in a game like Mass Effect 3, the option for both endings should be available.

I agree, it wouldn't make sense not to have one or more of these options/endings have it so Shepard lives.  Especially if one says there will be 16 different endings.

Enough, now I will drink!

*He takes out a bottle of captain Morgan from underneath his captain seats and opens it. Suddenly an Asari comes by and graps the bottle.* "Who brought this Asari here?!"

No, seriously. Anything to light up the mod. It gets late, mod drops.

Just watched a little segment on youtube by some guy explaining why the ending was great and we are all wrong. Ended by saying he felt that Bioware was genius for ahem "not giving us the ending we wanted, but giving us the ending we needed".

I respect his views and opinions, but I don't really need the feeling of hollow disapointment that this ending provided.

One thing he did say though was that if you go into the ending with bare minimum war assets then you don't get to choose between red, green or blue space magic. Is set as destroy as standard... Does anyone know if this is true? If so what does it mean?

Guys name on youtube was simongenius1 if anyone else wanted a look into madness.

Holding the line. Somehow...

Maybe the ending HE needs. The ending *I* need includes walking up to Hackett after its all said and done and going "I'm retiring". *Maybe* becoming the councilor if they want me but other than that, I'm done.

But I've said before, I can live without *my* perfect ending as long as what happens satisfies the storyteller in me.

No, totally not.  I want a chance to live, too - and, as you say, beyond merely taking a breath in some rubble.  I've said it again and again - nobody should be ashamed for wanting a happy ending.

The thing is if you know your shepard dies it gives no incentive to play again and get "right".

This is how I should have felt after mass effect 3's ending

^This.

The ending to Scrubs was amazing. I shed tears of joy and sadness at the same time. Joy because it was an inspiring, thought provoking closure to an amazing show, and sadness because I was sad to see it go.

Bioware could learn a thing or 20 from this.

Nope, I feel the same way and would choose rainbows anyday. It's 'choice' that we are fighting for and having a happy ending because we worked hard for it should be a choice rather then the bleak color of death we have been stuck with.

I don't mind if Sheppard dies to save earth. That would be the ultimate sacrifice and would fit his (at least my Paragon Sephard) personality just find. HOWEVER, I would very much like him to live with his LI (if he has one), and help the creation of a new council, keeping the peace at the galaxy, raising blue babios (or not blue) and so on.

This is the entire point, whether he lives or dies should be based on EVERYTHING we did, every little choice we made, through out the series, instead of a three no win scenarios (Buy 3 get 1 actually).

But even on the scencarios he could die, at least shows us what happens after his death, what became of the galaxy, and how our actions and choices affected it.

As it is, there was no victory, there was no accomplishment, there was only death and the end. Better to let the reapers take us all....

/Salute

Apparently the synthesis (green) option is the hardest to unlock. My mom got me the collector's edition game guide as a surprise when the game came out and it says in there that you have to build your war assets up to a certain level before that ending is unlocked. So I guess that would make the red ending the basic one, the blue ending the medium one, and the green ending the one you work really hard to get!
