Oh god. If Jon Stewart were to mention this. I would have a heart attack of joy.

I'm not sure if Colbert's stage persona would allow him to cover this, but if anyone wants to they can head over to the colbertnation.

It'd be awesome, though I'm not sure what stance would be taken on it, but I seriously doubt it'll happen in the middle of an election season unless something crazy happens.

Oh and I see your point, Hydralysk, but he doesn't cover the elections every show.  Actually, on Thursday he did something about them changing the name of some pond in the south from Jew Pond to...whatever it is that they finally decided on.  It's worth a shot at least, right?

Join the club. I tried once to replay ME3, barely got to the end of the escape from Earth before I had to shut my Xbox off. Decided I should play ME1 and 2 again to experience the feeling of epicness again... and I couldn't. I just turned my TV off and basked in the depression.

I really want an ending to ME3 that is akin to the ending of ME1, where after Sovereign is destroyed, I couldn't help but stand up and scream my battle roar of epic glory.

As long as we don't break the rules, that is; if they arbitrarily closed it down, it would result in an even BIGGER, and probably a lot more hostile, backlash...freedom of speech and all that jazz.

But if we break the rules, then we give them the ammunition they need to be able to do it.

We (well, OK whoever is making this) would write a script, then get people to read small parts of it out in different languages. Then cut and paste all the audio together and add subtitles.

The old TV Show Babylon 5 did something similar (although purely in English) for their fourth series titles, in that each of the primary cast read one line and they were all mixed together.

Time consuming, but if done right it could be rather effective. In fact in principle you could get the subtitles translated into several different languages, after all if you are using people who are bilingual you could ask them to translate, which would help 'spread the world' in so far as making the non-english boards aware that they are not alone.

This might work better for a short 'advert' than a longer piece..or at least be somewhat less confusing and time consuming. *shrugs*

If it becomes too spammy to the point where images flood and text is reduced, then they will use the excuse that this thread is no longer staying on topic, I might add it's also easier for folk to keep with the discussion if they don't have to scroll through a page to get past the images.

I think that might be a little bit much...also, very common approach in advertisement these days.

I think individual 'dialogues' would work much better, except that we link the posts on youtube together somehow...if that's possible.  Maybe in each video, setup a video response for every other language that we do.  Say, for example, the English video would have video responses from the French, German, Turkish, Russian, etc videos.

I think as you said this would be better for a short advert. It's definitely worth doing, but if we are using the video as a way to express the purpose of this movement I think one person would be easier to follow. If we could get multiple versions of the script voiced in their native tongues to begin with then we'd already have enough footage to piece together a "one voice" add like you said.

I did that for my first me3 playthrough... just made it all the more bitter:(

You're not alone there. Just because I wasn't sure if I romanced anybody in Mass effect 2, I made a ME1 playthrough with a ManShep that stayed faithful to Ashley throughout ME2. I even did every single sidequest. Then came the ending of ME3 and I thought "Why the hell did I waste one week?".

Then i went to the forums and was glad to see, that I'm not the only one who hates the endings.

It is important to realise that 'Freedom of Speech' does NOT apply on private message boards such as this. It is litrally a case of 'my house, my rules'.

It is important to note this because it is easy to forget that the staff responable for running this board have been very good natured about this thread. They have only locked it once, that I'm aware of, and that was for copyright infrigment issues. They have been good enough to allow us to effectively self-moderate otherwise.

Let us return that trust by playing by their rules, and keeping images and quotes as short as is possible please.
