Anyone else getting miffed by those obnoxious few accusing us of petty donations? Donating to charity is disgusting? Wait, what? It's almost as nonsensical as the ending. *facepalm*

Indoctrinated do that.  Pay them no attention.

It's just....*sigh*..."I should go."

Hold the line friend.  Trust me, I've been baited into far more than that this week haha.  Don't let it get to you, some people do stuff just to get a rise.

What about Conrad Verner saving the day for us? I lol'd pretty hard.

Regarding the endings, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's intentional and there'll be a follow up dlc of sorts to clear the fog that's been blown right at our faces at the conclusion of the game.

HOLD THE LINE

I did and quote here, if you guys excuse me. It´s relevant to our topic.

"Completely and utterly destroyed the series. IMHO it´s impossible to play again knowing that everything I do ends in... space magic. It´s just too ridiculous. So, yes. It ruins the game and the series.

I can´t look at it as just a "shooter with some story thrown at it". It was a journey. It is a journey if I start over. But knowing how it ends... no. It´s just not a journey anymore. It´s gone. "

Oh boy, now I'm going to sound like a real nag, can we please reduce the pyramids, I'm aware this forum software is a pain in the arse when editing, but please try to quote only the relevant part.

I think as you said this would be better for a short advert. It's definitely worth doing, but if we are using the video as a way to express the purpose of this movement I think one person would be easier to follow. If we could get multiple versions of the script voiced in their native tongues to begin with then we'd already have enough footage to piece together a "one voice" add like you said.

We could certainly make a "Mission statement" in every language. If you want, I can do a german one and bring it up to the RetakeMassEffect youtube channel. The rest would have to follow. I will write the script in english though and send it to everyone who sends me a PN tomorrow so everyone can take ten minutes to translate it.

How is that?

I think that might be a little bit much...also, very common approach in advertisement these days.

I think individual 'dialogues' would work much better, except that we link the posts on youtube together somehow...if that's possible.  Maybe in each video, setup a video response for every other language that we do.  Say, for example, the English video would have video responses from the French, German, Turkish, Russian, etc videos.

*Nods*

I was brainstorming...and since its 2;30am here....

I like the idea of splitting the video into smaller chunks. It would certainly be possible to do this, all you need to to *brain starts to overheat* label them as 'Part 1' Part 2' ect.

 Don't forget our mission statement!

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:
  • The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
Retake Mass Effect 3 - Hold the line.

I was thinking a string of speeches.  Ooo!  IDE-AAAAA! (sorry, going to sleep soon).

Each video contains maybe two minutes on one portion of why we dislike the ending so much, and what we stand for.  Then, at the end, we have one video with everyone speaking in their native tongue 'Hold the line!'

...I could do a Latin one...since you know...English has probably been taken...though I could do it with shifting and poorly executed accents.  Certainly being mildly amusing/offensive would help right?

Pretty sure Dogs can see blue, red, and yellow, it still wouldn't make any sense though.

Play it so you can see the massive fleet jumping in through the Sol relay.  That has to be the coolest space-combat scene I've seen in a LOOONG time.

Yeah, that was more or less what I was thinking of. It depends on how much there is to say, and how many people are going to be talking.
