A little slow in the beginning, but all of it is well worth watching.

I liked his endings so much better, and very thought out.
BW get him on speed dail..asap!!

Checking in for the night! Anything new?

Also... What's the record for the highest post count? Maybe we can get bioware in the guiness book of world record for the most post on a single Internet thread?

I will continue to Hold the line!

I'm told apparently there were a few threads on the BSN a long while back that hit 10000 pages, so no.

I certainly hope we do not need to keep this thread going that long.

God I depressed myself looking back on ME1 and think how optimistic I was for the series and then to finally be at this point. Its sad Bioware let ME come to this.

Yeah, I couldn't see my television screen by that point cause my eyes were too glassed over with tears. Amazing, powerful moment that was just killed by the ending. Cause there is NO WAY Kaidan should be coming out of the Normandy with a smile on his face on some unknown jungle planet while the woman he supposedly can't live without is either dead or almost dead never to be seen again... WTH?

Thus again proving the point that the ending makes no sense what so ever. Also I was crying my eyes out at that bit so much, then you get the ending with that still in your mind which definitely makes you depressed.

Omg, that's exactly what I thought! When he came out of the Normandy, my mom and I were like "wait, how did he get there? And why is he smiling?! " It made no sense

Bioware really needs to fix this. It was so half a** and messed up.

Should've seen my face when I got ME3 on March 6th (before I knew about the ending). My mom took a hidden picture of me getting it at GameStop and I looked so excited...:crying:

I guess the smiling thing could be that he doesn't yet know Shepard is dead, but as to why he was on the Normandy or why the Normandy was flying AWAY (not yelling just emphasising) from Earth makes no sense what-soever. It definitely was half a**ed.

That's it for tonight, my friends. I'm finishing a treatment for a new ending. It's reaching 10 pages. I hope there's a way to contact BW and send them. That is, I heard they were accepting suggestions. If not, OK. I'll keep it.

It's nothing formal. Nor formatted (Like Thane said: "this one is free of charge"). But finishing it, I'm thinking about sending. Hope there's a way to do it, after it's done.

See you, good people.

Hold the line!

I'm pretty sure my face was blank when I watched that ending. There may or may not have been an eye twitch that has persisted to this day.

Even if he didn't know Shepard was dead, he should shouldn't be smiling; they just left their Commander behind. This was so messed up. I don't understand how Bioware thought this was a good idea.

I'm pretty sure I looked like a deranged bunny in headlights while watching the ending, possibly mixed in with a look of utter confusion. While crying my eyes out I might add, I'm so glad nobody was near me too see that.....

A nice bittersweet ending would be seeing your Shepard and LI standing/hugging together as you look at the panorama at the edge of a gently lapping lake and the sun(s) in front of you (symbolizing hope for the future).....

.... but the camera pans out and you realize it's just a dream.

Yeah I agree completely, I am like many trying to make sense of the senseless. I don't get how Bioware thought this was a good idea either, and I truly believe they did think it was a good idea.

Back after finishing the game... and letting the ending sink in and all that. My opinion doesn't change much on how I feel for the ending.

The game was good... up until after TIM encounter. It just all goes down hill. My exact reaction to experiancing the ending is "What the hell just happened?! It makes no sense!". No telling us what happened to all the alien races that you collected to help you take back earth, no explanation on the mass relays taking out entire systems from their explosions (The Arrival DLC from ME2 comes to mind) and what happens to the Normandy crew after landing on that planet and why Joker was flying away (with my squad-members that I had with me on the final run which still bugs me on how they got there).
Now I was expecting Shepard to die and I did have my final moment with my LI before the final attack... but these 'endings' are bad. You've stopped the reapers but destroyed every system that had a mass relay in the progress when the relays all blew up. Least that's what it seems to me from this.

Because of the endings, I don't feel bothered playing through the game again... I mean, I might but I'll stop playing after the TIM encounter. And no way I'm playing the multiplayer to get my readiness up to 100% just to get the Synthesis ending and maybe that one little scene with N7 armor just taking a quick breath.

I do apologize for another "two sense on an opinion on the ending" but... I needed to get it off my chest.

I swear that my brother took one as well when I got the game and the guide book, and I know my roommate most definately took one after I saw the eniding.... :crying:

He cites a poll from the bioware forums (here) and says that most fans are not happy with the endings. Mass Effect 3 is towards the end of the video. I think he strongly believes that bioware will change the endings.

Problem is, I think they thought it was the best idea too...it was the best idea up until the point you meet the stupid kid. Then no. Just no.

Mass Effect has to be one of my favorite game series of all time, I spent hundreds of hours on all the games, and loved almost every part of it. To have a hundred hours of gameplay, decisions and story end with a terrible copy/paste ABC ending, that barely even makes sense is just disgraceful. It does not come close to being worthy of what the Mass Effect series is.

I'm just another fan, alongside thousands of other fans, and I will hold the line.

Honestly I range from optimism to the usual sense of pessimism.

I'd like to think, that at this point its only a matter of time. Fan outrage for Fallout 3 was a lot smaller than this and they changed the ending. This movement is an almost universal push to change these endings and alot of gaming sites are covering this to the point that its just getting bigger and bigger and bigger.

So yea, at this point, a part of me likes to think that its just a matter of time before they actually announce officially that yes, they will in fact, fix this royal ****up. This part of me is backed up by the cautious hope that this was all "planned" and the so called "Truth" DLC is really...well...the Truth.

Then comes the other part of me.

The one that crunches down hard numbers and stupid decisions.

If this was not infact planned and they need to start working on this DLC virtually from scratch, some idiot might decide "What is cheaper, to actually make an unplanned DLC from scratch that includes paying a whole team, voice actors, programers, script writers ect ect. Followed by the "Embarrassment" that they had to be the very first gaming company in history that was hammered into changing an ending because it was just THAT horrendous. Or to simply ignore the plan, call the money gained on the Mass Effect universe with just the preorder sales "Good enough" and scrap the rest of the plans, hoping that by the time their next game comes along that people will have "forgotten" about this (Haha ***** please!)

So yea. I don't know which is worse. I'm hoping and practically *praying* with everything I got that its the first. But if its the latter...yea...I'd rather not think about it.
