Yeah I know that, I was just pointing out one of many things that annoyed me. Like everyone else was doing a wee while ago.

Yeah, we were saying how the ending in itself makes us irritable over all the plot holes, personality changes, game changes and glitches, that otherwise we probably would have overlooked. Because a good game never satsifies everyone 100%, everyone is willing to overlook stuff if it's not breaking the enjoyment. I agree that what breaks the enjoyment is different for everyone.

The ending did it for me, and now I can't let go of all the other things. I'm even now starting to get annoyed over the stuff in the other 2 games. But even so, I still paleyd them and loved them, because everything else was so good.

Oh well, time to stop ranting..

I'm just wondering, did everyone on the citadel get off that thing before the reapers took it to earth or did they just die as well? There is no explanation that I could find to this or maybe I just missed it due to the horrific ending and how it erased the last five years of my progress. But in all seriousness, I know that there were a lot of dead bodies on the Citadel when we were transported there and the thing also got destroyed in either of the three endings...it just gets more depressing the more I think about it.

I don't think I would. I already paid for the Collector's Edition. For me, the DLC has to be free - I won't let EA extort any more money out of me.

Me three? lol

Same, but that would probably be the last bioware saw of my money.

If it's free and they more or less admit the misstake, everything is forgotten.

I'm considering this myself. But I'm very torn, as I really love BioWare-made games. And if I don't buy their games, what will I buy. Though the trust will be gone anyway. Even if they make the DLC, I'll still need a game or 2 to trust them again.

Probably all got killed unfortunatly... Wait a second... If the citadel is more or less the base of the reaper boss, how come he can't use indoctrination on everyone there? To indoctrinate someone they have to be inside the body of the reaper, and the citadel was the "home" of the spacekid...

Does he even count as a reaper?

Im confused...

Not when I could YouTube the endings. I'm pretty fed up with the money I've already thrown their way without having had their promises delivered on. For them to say "We're sorry, here's an ending you'll be satisfied with! Oh, and that'll be $15 please," is just too much. They ruined my trust - asking me to pay them to fix it isn't going to get it back.

When a car has a part break pretty regularly, car companies offer FREE recalls. Because they know they shouldn't be charging for their own mistake.

For me, most of the BW games I love are in the past.

I finished the game within two days and it was amazing to see how one of the best franchises out there could be ruined within the last 10-15 minutes. It's not that the endings were dreadful per se, but the lack of choices that mattered, obvious plot holes, the similarity of ending cinematics, introduction of new characters - I could go on and o-) ruined this perfectly immersive experience for me rendering replayablity near zero. I can't see why I should play through the game again or buy any upcomng DLCs.

Hold the line!

well something they could do to regain my favors besides fixing this mess is something like dubling the funds raised for child play, or if they put a dlc about ending, putting the benefices of it to that cause (or another good cause)

Again, no...

I personally think this is more the attitude we should take. To say we'd be willing to pay for a new DLC is to compromise to a degree where they WILL charge us money for fixing their own mistake. I can think of few if any examples of corporate mistakes that they charge their customers to fix. Hell, even major bug fixes are free.

I agree with trusting them again, and no doubt EA had a part to play in this.
However my love for the mass effect franchise is to strong and even if i had to pay for the DLC i would, It can't be left to end like this!

It's hard to trust a company that a former employee who was a lead developer on a number of awesome titles no longer recognizes.

Geez, all this praise is starting to inflate my ego. God knows what will happen if I ever get a wikipedia page!Anyways, you make some excellent points, especially concerning the clarification of what a happy ending would entail. As for the limited 'choice'... this is just the way these kinds of games are going to be I think. I've posted a fair bit about this in the past, especially close to the time when I originally left BioWare. Games with voice over and cinematics are too expensive to make now. Multiple choices = content that not everyone sees. This is impossible to justify to executives/shareholders, especially when it actually doesn't increase sales. And the  BioWare games of today are selling better than the games from the 'early years'. I think sometimes though that makes people feel that *all* the lessons from those past games are irrelevant (because the newer games sell better).

Yeah same here. I'm almost to that dreadful point again but I most likely wont finish it till I hear something more on the ending being fixed. Anyway, the more I think about it the more plot holes come up. For example: Did Aria get off before the reapers took over? I'm guessing the council is no more...again...and all those refugees were killed off as well as Conrad and all the lovely people I evesdroped on. Yeah, way to go Bioware...

If I recall correctly as well, Blake's 7 at least showed you the characters getting shot and killed. They didn't leave it open to "speculation".

Maybe I'm slow on thinking this but the whole (bold bit) makes me wonder, The freaky reaper god child or whatever the hell he was is a new character, and makes no sense, but other than that why isn't this last part done by Harbinger? I mean they made a big point of him/her/it in ME2 only for us not to hear a peep from him/her/it again....<_<

I said all the right things to Liara to start the game, but like I said, the game simply forgot. I was hoping it would turn into some drama or conflict if I added Traynor to the mix between Shepard and Liara, but... yeah. Traynor's not all that bad though.

Not as good as Liara.:P

Indeed. But the dynamic between Shepard and Traynor was pretty good. First when Traynor comes onto the ship, she's a wreck, but Shepard's there to ease the process and make her feel like she's a part of the team. Then at the end when Shepard starts to fall apart, Traynor makes sure she's there to hold her together.

It would've worked very well... If it was what I actually wanted, lol.
