Furthermore I get the feeling that Bioware is loosing something that they worked for since Baldur's Gate 1 (some 16 years maybe more) and that beeing fans' credit of faith that made us preorder their games.

I really think (hope actually) they've got something RALLY cool coming soon. Mr. Mike Gamble said on his twitter on 9th of March

That is giving me hope so I shall keep holding the line!!!

forgive me if i offend any movie fan here.
i liken mass effect 3 ending like this. imagine if you will a scene where your talkling to your loved one bf/gf/ husband/wife.. pet./. whatever.. and they tel lyou hey honey theres an awesome movie playing at the threatre wanna go? .. you reply what is it?? its a horror flick. uh.. sure i guess i can make time for it who made it? is it indy? no.. its based of some author ..* so your thinkin ok horror flick.. author? steven king new movie? * ok ok.. ill pick u up and we can g out to dinner and plan a whole perfect time of it..
so you plan the whole week down to the last second you arrive.. its wonderful your love interest is dressed wel a smile on their face and happy to see ya..
you get into the threatre finnally after a good dinner and activties. you sit down to watch the movie( like the end of mass effect 3 )
only to realize it indeed is a horror story. but not the kind of horror you thought it w as gonig to be?..

Which is why I would buy ending DLC even though it would probably put me off BW for a long time to come.

Yea i think that would be a fair assumption

They have said that they will be releasing MP DLC already. In all honesty that's pretty much a given regardless of the endings if they want to maintain a multiplayer base. People will eventually get bored with it otherwise; they won't have ignored the MP dominance of other games and their reliance on MP DLC.

I'm just hoping that they will realise that companies have been destroyed for treating their loyal supporters like with disrespect.

The last 10 minutes of ME 3 are so disappointing. Apart of the story and the "magical" stuff, the whole game is epic and inspiring. Then, you arrive at the Citadel, and all become some kind of "anti-climax" situation. And that's the bigger problem of the ending, there is no climax, and the player feels that the final sequence has no strength as the rest of the game has.
Not only that, only three options, bad written, bad realized and all of them condemn the galaxy to a new stone age in the best of the cases. That's not an ending for me and my Shepard, guys. And i made my choices in order to avoid the destruction of the galaxy.

So, i'm here holding the line.

There is a poll at one of the leading German PC games magazines "Gamestar".

More than 50% polled for "The ending has destroyed the franchise" and almost 10% are at least disappointed. More than 24% haven't finished the game yet. Around 14k participants so far.

The presence of MP is entirely the giant hand of EA. Games like ME2, ME1, Skyrim, have all shown that single-player experiences can be just as compelling and sink just as much time as multiplayer ones. However, a lot of investors and suites who don't really understand games or the industry think that hot multiplayer games like MW3 are what EVERYBODY wants and EVERYBODY wants to play and are required for successful games with mainstream appeal.

While ignoring actual data. It's what business people are good at.

The final boss is two dogs... nuff said. I could smell the stench from a mile away so I stayed clear. A friend was unfortunatly not that fortunate.
