I do not know if Bioware has the luxury of keeping us waiting till May....

If they get it together and actually give us a concrete Yes, I'm sure we can wait

But it needs to be Confirmed by Bioware or EA, or else noone will believe it and it will blow up in their face.

Too many.

Wasn't MP done by a completely different team?

Yeah, but where do you think the other team gets their money and disk space from?

i just beat the game again and got the shepard is alive ending

i have a theory

what if after the final fight with kai leng at tims base indoctrinated shep?

keep in mind kai leng used the floor wich was i guess reaper technolgy

now imo at the scene where shepard has his gun drawn on anderson i think this is where it takes effect the most

listen to the reaper sounds wile tims talking and yet theres no reaper in sight

also notice the black ink that swarls around shepard

even when you hit the interupt button to shoot tim you see shep basicly struggle to keep his mind clear

now think for a moment at any other point in the game shepard never really had to strugle other than shake off some bizzare dreams

also regarding the catalyst heres a another theory......

when you learn the information from the prothean vi he even tells you the crucible was built upon even before his own cycle so maybe a species before the protheans added the star child as a form of mechonisim ?

and who knows maybe star child became what we see edi as wich is a full self aware artificial inteligence?

maybe im reading to much into it but its a theory

On the Multiplayer: The multiplayer is nothing special. What elevates it from other MP are the different races and classes. But the concept is very basic. I prefer Horde in Gears 3. Something that is very annoying is the revive thing. More than once I wanted to revive a teammate, it even showed that I should press "A"(XBox version), yet all my charcter did was going to cover.

What is worse though is that it is a necessity to get the "best ending". Quotation marks, because, y'know ending or good are loosely used, mainly because of the lack of better words.

Well, a seperated team made the Multiplayer part, but then again, these resources could have been invested in the singleplayer development...

Indeed.

Remember that Resources doesn't just mean time and money, it also means people.

Hell, if they wanted to introduce a MP aspect they could have set up the groundwork for it, then focused on finishing the SP campaign to resemble something like what they promised, released it and said "Multiplayer coming soon, both free and paid for DLC". Then the resources used on MP could have sped up production for SP and, once done, resources for SP could help MP get put out asap.

Would have worked better that way.

Quick question all: I'm currently in the middle of writing my email to Bioware about the ending, but was thinking whether it would be better to use my email address that has my actual name in it as opposed to the one i usually use (which is basicly like a nickname) i was wondering whether using my more formal email address would have a better chance of being more properly read as opposed to being dismissed as spam because of the name.

or does bioware not pay attention to who emails them? lol

It's called the Indoctrination Theory and is indeed the last emergency-induction-port many people around these forums have been holding onto, in regards to the ending.

Seems like Bioware didn't intend it to be true though.

Someone last night was wondering about how this fiasco might impact the Mass Effect movie. To be honest, I think it's done it a lot of good.

The ME movie might be the first game/movie conversion to actual be better than the product it was based on. Let's be honest, it could hardly be worse!

Have you seen UWE BOLLS movies??????!!!!!!
Far Cry, House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Postal??!!!
or the entire Resident Evil Franchise made by Paul Anderson??!!!!!

Sadly I have seen most of those.

But I think, with the right backers, Uwe Boll directing (I still chuckle every time I see in the credits that it's a "Bollwerks" production), and maybe M Night Shyamaln to write the screenplay, we could be on to a movie very nearly as bad, but still better than what we ended up with at the end of ME3.

Someone shiould do some "Still not as bad as..." movie posters for Uwe's movies.

The last 10 minutes of ME 3 are so disappointing. Apart of the story and the "magical" stuff, the whole game is epic and inspiring. Then, you arrive at the Citadel, and all become some kind of "anti-climax" situation. And that's the bigger problem of the ending, there is no climax, and the player feels that the final sequence has no strength as the rest of the game has.
Not only that, only three options, bad written, bad realized and all of them condemn the galaxy to a new stone age in the best of the cases. That's not an ending for me and my Shepard, guys. And i made my choices in order to avoid the destruction of the galaxy.

So, i'm here holding the line.

Just finished the game too :

- Critical Mission Failure A,Critical Mission Failure B,Critical Mission Failure C. That's your choice.
- no climax
- no closure
- bad writing
- epic fail at logic ("we destroy organics to save them from synthetics destroying them"). Or is it troll logic ?
- depressing
- here comes stone age !
- I could go on and on about how much it's full of BS.
:crying:

Hold the line !

Welcome to our resistance.

I'd use the one with your actual name.

If anything, you'll come across as a customer, rather than "just" a gamer

It just irks me to have to have theories, I shouldn't have to assume so much with the ending. It's adding way too many questions and not answering many. We also don't know what happens if Shep was indoctinated it basically just says "the end".

Apart from the fact that Starchild says that it controls the reapers, is part of the citadel and always has been for all the cycles. It also refers to them as "Us". The star child comes from the citadel, not the crucible, because the citadel is the catalyst.

But I'm going with it being a dream sequence. Or rather nightmare.

That is the indoctrinaiton theory, which is the straw we are holding on to. If this turns out to be true it would allow the ME series the ending that it deserves through a DLC.

tbh i like this idea of kind of having the gamer think on there own because alot of people are in fact creative when it comes to fan fictions

im not saying im great but i like a challenge sometimes ill win sometimes ill fail badly either way it chalenges me from a creative standpoint.

i think thats why i cant force myself to hate the endings at all honestly
