Great to see that Forbes is continuing to report on the struggle, and that even CNN has taken notice.

Couple of vids here that I thought might keep our spirits up.

Hold the Line - Retake ME3

Bad Day for Heroes from the RetakeME3 youtube page.

Hold the line!

Awesome and inspiring. The first video is full of win.

I actually highly doubt we will get the "new ending dlc".
Why? Two points:
1) To make it really high quality, they'd need most of the voice actors back, make new cut scenes, etc., etc. That is cost prohibitive (unless they already have them as suggested but I highly doubt that)
2) If they want money for it, just image the sh** storm that would start. While fans might even be happy to pay for better endings, the general sentiment would be that now you have to pay extra for a decent ending in a BW game. That will hurt all of EAs and BWs games in the future and they are never going to go for it (that is also why I highly doubt that they withheld the endings, it doesn't make sense whatsoever).

As appealing as it might be to hope for a better solution, I doubt we'll ever see it. It's almost as depressing as the endings themselves.

Apparently, since I went to sleep, I missed about 30 pages of forum.

So....what did I miss?

Oh and by the way...Still trying to get our message posted onto The Daily Show forums!  Their webmaster is... not particularly good at his job :pinched:

This is a great summary of everything we hate about the endings:

Only 30? We must be slacking off!

No real news, some more negative publicity for BW/EA is about all.

On the "Do they have the endings or don't they" front:

I would be interested if someone whose good at hacking PC games could look into this (like that guy who dug into the Day 1 DLC thing). They explained that away saying they needed to put a framework in place to allow for future DLC.

It would be interesting to see if there is any kind of similar framework in place at the ending of the game that would allow them to continue it.

Such knowledge would prove, or disprove, my theory.

Sadly, I am not so adept that I can do that myself. It takes someone with greater skills than I.

Whats up guys, any upcoming events to show support for holding the line? I've got will and convictions to back them, just point me (and others) in the right direction.

Finland reporting for duty.

And probably posting for the first time ever, since a case of the last 10 minutes of a game reaching through space-time-continuum and destroying all satisfaction felt over the 300 hours I put in the series in the past as in the present, requires something drastic. Not an everyday occurrence in my life, I must say.

I still can't understand why anyone would think the endings were good, ok, or even just passable.
Why on earth would anyone spend time on game content aiming to save the galaxy (a.k.a MP and DLC) after they know galaxy is screwed no matter what they do or have done, baffles me. And what baffles me even more is how anyone could think such solution would be a good strategy, financially speaking, in any reality.

So Holding the Line, though it pains me, I actually enjoyed MP until... well the last 10 minutes of SP...

Pfff, just got my polite message about joining RetakeMassEffect deleted from big russian game forum ag.ru. At the top of the thread there is a sticky: something like, "on this thread we discuss the game as it is, not the way you would like it to be, including the endings". In Soviet Russia...

Has anyone downloaded here the Soundtrack from the CE?

01-The Fate of the Galaxy
02-Leaving Earth
03-Mars
04-A Cerberus Agent
05-The View of Palaven
06-A Future for the Krogan
07-Surkesh
08-The Ardat Yakshi
09-Rannoch
10-I’m Sorry
11-The Cerberus Plot
12-The Scientists
13-Aralakh Company
14-Prothean Beacon
15-Defeat
16-Reaper Chase
17-Stand Strong, Stand Together
18-I was Lost Without You
19-The Fleets Arrive
20-We Face Our Enemy Together
21-I’m Proud Of You
22-An End, Once and For All
23-Credits
24-Betrayal
25-Creation

I find it amusing to look at all the tracks in order, they kind of sum up the game's progress. Especially the last two. It would be nice to think that the last two tracks (CE only) are actually indicative of something - we know that the first one definitely is :P

Well, we are urging people to try not to play anything EA/Bioware.
But if you do, try to change your username, adding something to do with Retake ME3, so our movement gets spread around.

And keep on holding the line!

A shame that they had got their information from Destructoid.  Make sure to comment on there about how it's misinformation to say we're doing all this because the ending is "gloomy"... Missing..the..point!!! :pinched:
