Same. Literally every pre-release interview had me so hyped. Now reading them just stings as you see all the lies.

Except for the Prothean stuff, which you kind of get more info on (only, and only if you have the From Ashes DLC) everything else is just...BS.

And yes, Bioware, the ending was linear...it was "pick color-explode-Shepard dies-Normandy crashes-end of game" ending... :(

Bom dia.

Perhaps they truly were going for art. Then they took it a little too much to heart and ignored Andy Warhol's advice "I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning."

The result was this.

Nothing from Bioware.
We are getting attention from CNN and msnbc.

That's great news! Hard to ignore us with publicity like that. Wait...they are saying positive things about us right?

CNN is... well, they give light to the fact that there is a problem here, but not much else.

msnbc on the other hands seems to be kinda supportive

They do not HAVE to do anything, but it's in their best interest to do something.

Im enjoying this . I really am. It is great that we can force the biggest publisher in the world and one biggest And most respected Game makers to change their product as its not fit for purpose.
Well done to all of us.

This could be one of those moments that changes history, where games start being made for the fans, and not the money becuase developers will realise what could happen. Keep holding the line people, let's change the way games are made!

I can't believe that Bioware still hasn't made a clear statement on this.

Sure, I read the PR-Thread but they must know that they are hurting their business. Every day, heck, every hour more and more people are making up their mind. Many will just forget this ever happend with time, but there will also be many people that will stop buying Bioware or EA products long before this campaign ends - for better or worse, the damage is done and keeps growing with every day. :?

Lets see till end of March/mid April were it is the last straw for Bioware/EA to MAKE (!!!!!!!!!) a statement or else at least 80% of the fanbase will be GONE.

I WILL CERTAINLY BE GONE IF THEY DON'T FIX THIS MESS:alien:

Actually... The Witcher 2... Is having... It's ending... Remade... As we speak. It will be called the Enhanced Edition or something like that, launching i think in two months.

Except that, it's an extraordinary and fun game.

I recommend you play the 1st one, though. Importing saves again. Small changes, still visible.

Wow, I didn't know xD Why they changing the ending? It wasn't so bad if I recall.

They are not changing it, just adding more content in the 3rd chapter, because people complained it was too short. And its all free... I recomend the game buy the way:)

Wonder if we get more response from Bioware this week, we have to !

Fully agree. I was reading every bit of interview or statement I could get hold of and looking forward to see how my Shepard's decisions over the trilogy would shape the actual ending.

And now this...

I still believe like user lucounou that BW are or already have created that Ending DLC, as I can't believe that Bioware would create such a crappy and insignificant ending to such a great story.

Well, nothing outward negative.
They are kind of neutral.

It's expected, it would look bad for stations like that to take sides. As long as they arent outwardly against one side or the other it still works in our favor.

Yeah. I thought I was actually going to get closure from the ending of the series. And choice... I wasn't expecting pick red, blue, or green that is for sure.

Same here, I was looking foward to seeing my Shepard's effect on the galaxy...
...The people at Bioware are a bunch of liers. :crying:

Since I can't bring myself to start playing ME3 again, I have been watching all the different outcomes from choices mad throughout the game (i.e. killing Mordin, Killing Wrex, Romance options) on YouTube and I am so amazed at what a beautifully written story the game is. This just adds to my disappointment at what a poorly written ending the series concludes on. This game really does deserve better.
Needless to say: Hold the Line!

That's what I have been doing ever since I beat the game...I don't know, almost 10 days ago. :(

That is true, but at the same time CNN pointed out that the average age of a gamer (in the US anyway) is 35. In doing so they kind of put a dent in the image of all gamers being kids, and therefore us being kids throwing a temper tantrum.

Well I think they were most surprised that the average age of a gamer is 35.

But yes, either neutral or positive from what I've seen.

Strange how it surprises everyone that we aren't all teenagers and that we actually care about the story and literary merit behind the game, not just the gameplay. Generalizations for the win.

Hell if I know. I didn't mind it too, but it seems something was lacking.
I only heard rumors not so long ago, about the fact of it being remade.
Dunno anything more, still worth noting - ME3 being remade WON'T be the first time it happens.

Let's just hope the indoctrination theory is true and free high quality DLC will come out of it. That is the best case scenario I can think of at the moment unless anyone has something to add.

It one thing to force CD-Project to change their game but forcing Bioware EA is a different kettle of fish.
It like we are commander Shepard and we are looking for support and uniting against a common enemy - Reapers/Bioware EA.
Ironic....wouldnt you think ?

Just to remind you of our mission!

ArmyKnifeX wrote...

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:

  • The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
  • We wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players with both choices and consequences to prior choices.
