Does anyone know if The Witcher 2 is any good. I'm looking for something to drown my sorrows in (gaming -wise). But I thought I'd ask before buying...Bioware has taught me that much now.

Actually... The Witcher 2... Is having... It's ending... Remade... As we speak. It will be called the Enhanced Edition or something like that, launching i think in two months.

Except that, it's an extraordinary and fun game.

I recommend you play the 1st one, though. Importing saves again. Small changes, still visible.

This is a quote I found:

From http://geekyupdate.c...ossible-endings

"The Witcher 2 have 16 possible endings"

Now I know where the 16 different endings from Mass Effect 3 came from..

In the end, instead of saying "buy a new DLC" they should have said "Play Witcher 2 for your 16 different endins.."

Wow, I didn't know xD Why they changing the ending? It wasn't so bad if I recall.

Actually they are just extending them in a similar manner to that of the first part of the Witcher. A more "Fallout-like" ending, when you get to know what was the impact of your decisions on the game world. So they didn't technically change them, but reacted to the fan feedback nevertheless.

It one thing to force CD-Project to change their game but forcing Bioware EA is a different kettle of fish.
It like we are commander Shepard and we are looking for support and uniting against a common enemy - Reapers/Bioware EA.
Ironic....wouldnt you think ?

Ironic indeed. Still, it only shows just HOW BIG influence the story and  characters have had on us...

Well, we ARE posting here. :D

One should not joke about these things! I think I have found something in the gaming world to look forward to now.

"Have you ever heard of hobbling?"

Honestly, every time I see someone saying we want "happier endings" I get mad...

We don't want happier endings, we want an ending... A real one where it offers the closure endings are meant to. If it's happier or not matters little. What we need is to know that everything done in the 3 games had consequences, that it somehow mattered. Insteaf of got a RGB ending where we die, everything goes to hell, and we don't even know why nor how..

Holding the line

So, it's over now? Just readed this one: http://attackofthefa...-mass-effect-3/

It sounds to me like this: "Important game magazines saying our game is great, also we have recieved positive comments via twitter and mail. There are some neckbeards who won't stop whining but **** that. We will do DLC and they will buy it anyway, LOL!"

To be honest, it looks to me like it's over now. BW made a clear statement that evrything is fine because it does not affect theyr sales and you can just dry out the forums if you just wait long enough.

Yep, guess that's it. Goodbye ME Franchise and BioArts for me.

Easily Bioware.  They've got arguably the two biggest RPG franchises on the North American (and possibly European) market, plus backing from EA.

I think CDPR only has Atari, who has been having serious issues lately IIRC.

There is no excuse for Bioware and EA to fix this.  If Atari and a much lesser known (though IMO just as good) studio can fix it, so can BiowEAr.

This. Sorry for blurred way of telling it, but as I said, i had only hints of what was up and didn't bother checking what exactly, sorry.

Still, the new, after-story endings to The Witcher 2 bring fans what they wanted - closure.

Sadly, in ME3's case, that wouldn't be enough. Even nearly enough.

Cd project is fast becoming and im sure it wants to be next Bioware.
Their pedegree in RPGs now is very good.
But since they didnt have big money they couldnt make games on Consoles.
Now that their game sold 1.5 mln copies plus another 4.5 mln pirated ...that shows that they are popualr and good.
