If Casey Hudson wanted ME3's ending to be memorable. It won't be a positive memory. Unless they change it.

Hitler is memorable. Therefore someone should tell Mr Hudson that memorable is not always a good thing when it is quite bad.

The only differnce there is Hitler hates the ending too.

Been thinking about ME3 in general all night and how we were suppose to have "more intimate moments" with your squad since they cut it down. Casey even said they really couldn't do banter with 12 characters. But with 7 squadmates I thought they would do more banter.... Nope not really.

HOLD THE LINE.

That was actually the first thing that pissed me off about ME3 when I was like 8 hours in. I was thinking... WHERE the hell has all the dialogue gone? In ME2 you could talk constantly to your team. Now everyone just goes Zaheed/Kasumi on me...

Joker: Commander. Commander. Commander. Commander.
Liara: Good to see you. Good to see you. Good to see you. Good to see you.
Vega: Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.
Tali: Maybe later. Maybe later. Maybe later. Maybe later.
Garrus: Not Now. Not Now.Not Now.Not Now. Not Now

WHY NOT NOW!? Sorry... still pisses me off, but in the light of the endings it becomes a minor complaint. Still the promises of MORE and DEEPER conversations with your team was a lie. I like that the people walk the ship more, e.g. Garrus and Joker telleng jokes, and I like the conversations via communicators. This added to the game. But There definitely is NOT more dialogue with the team in ME3 than there was in ME2.

So sad... This should be our next project once the endings are fixed... ok... one problem at a time.

Soo... are the "Killed Brutes" statistics public? Would be interesting if the boycot of the MP weekend was successful or if BioWare just can claim that enough people played MP :D

Really good read that was posted in the PR thread. Forbes really has its eye on the ball. Bioware could learn some things.

I was thinking on this last night, and it dawned on me that BW is in something of a pickle.

If they do nothing then it seems clear that the game just isn't going to sell, and with the SWMMO having put a large hole in their bank balance and before that DA2 not doing well they can't really afford for ME3 to be a flop.

If they do produce and release an ending DLC it would cost money, but if the 'new' ending is good enough to win over the existing players there is a fair chance that our word could convince others to buy the game.

The problem here is that the second option is a gamble, a gamble that word of mouth will increase sales of the game and therefore offset what-ever it cost to produce the DLC. Very risky, even more risky if they manage to make a mess of the DLC.

Now on the face of it the way to reduce that risk would be to charge for the DLC...but there is a rather major problem with this - and one that no-one seems to have considered. The whole reason for producing a DLC would be to get more sales, but if new players are basically being told that they have to buy the game and THEN spend more money to get a good ending. Well, legal issues aside I can't see many people being willing to basically pay for the game twice. Charging existing players for a DLC, and then making it free to new customers...well that is just going to result in accusations of money-grabbing by the existing crowd who will probably never again look at a Bioware game.

Basically Bioware only has two options, do nothing and loose a LOT of money due to the game simply not selling. Or they would have to produce and release a free DLC for everyone in the hopes that sales will improve. Both are risky moves, more so for the latter depending on how long it would take and how much it would cost.

What it will come down to I think is how willing the people with the money are to take a chance, and how much affect they think we are having - basically if they think that a good ending DLC would result in us being able to convince people to go buy the game afterwards.
If Bioware is in this position, and reading, I'd point out that the same percentage of people who want a new ending ALSO agree that the rest of the game is brilliant...and we are far from afraid to say that.

In all fairness, how much would it cost to produce 15-30 minutes more of gameplay? I'm asking honestly because I don't know.

Given that the foundation is there already, there'd probably little or no combat, and they are gfoing to be producing additional DLC anyway so they aren't firing up anything which they have shut down...

I just can't see it costing much.

At the "end" of ME3 you hear a song when Joker stumbles out with whomever, its this song.

Only a snipet.
I remember getting emotional to this song xD --im a nerdd--
But i think some of the lyrics do represent the series as a whole.

No, it's not. This is the song played at the end of Mass Effect. Not Mass Effect 3.

Also, it does not resemble the credits song from ME3 in any way. They are however done by the same band.

What I want is what they promised. 16 DIFFERENT ENDINGS. That gives us the range from the SUPER happy ending a.k.a Shepard and Tali going back to Rannoch and Shep building her that beachfront property, where we also get to see her rendered face not some photoshop BS, to the SUPER bad ending, where the Reapers F&%$ S%^& UP. Then there would be a nice swath from black to white of different endings.

I, like a lot of others had a lot of characters set up. I had one character set up for the super happy ending, with another basically doing everything as bad as possible, having only Kasumi survive the suicide mission in ME2.

Which brings up another point, If Tali and Garrus died, you didn get Javik, and you turned Ash into a war asset (I hate that B****) wouldnt that mean you only have like 2 squadmates for the ENTIRE game? Instead of the i dont know 12 squadmates in ME2?

Agreed :)
I for one am expecting at the very least a statement (and not the kind of statement we got before, as in, not answering any questions or even having to do with the subject of the questions). In all honesty I'm hoping this all turns out to be some publicity stunt, planned beforehand, revolutionasing the industry etc, but even if this is the case, to continue radio silence, no matter how planned, might just be pushing their luck too far.

I agree, this stood out like a saw thumb through playing the game.
Why couldn't they just go all out, make it literally the best best game ever (Not that its not a good game already.. until the ending) but you know what I mean,

The thing is you need to talk to them after every single mission as ME2 did, so go up to every single char and spam E till they say a repeated line and move to next char until everyone repeats. Only then should you do the next mission if you want loads of dialogue, but the good thing is that they converse with eachother in different settings instead of the "shephard therapy session thing" as in previous ones.

A lot when you consider they have to bring the team back and pay them, 15-30 minutes of extra game could take more than a week, then there is the cost of bringing back the voice actors, and lets be honest here, I doubt the likes of Sheen come cheap.

Maybe its my fan girl ears wanting to hear some thing thats not really there.
And yes i know it was played at the end of ME1 what i wanted to convey was that it sounded similar at the end of the first game to the last. Sorry for not stating it clearer. :D --thats why the link was to ME1 OST--
Though you have to admit they have a very similar beat.  I have not looked at he OST for ME3 yet.

Reminds me of the matrix where smith tells morpheus that the first matrix was perfect but people's minds rebelled against it becuase they define reality through suffereing. Which is a weird way is true. How can you define a happy moment without having a bad moment to compare it to? Well, after ME3's ending everything compared to this is a happy moment.
