There's bashing and there's one-lined banter. I think the difference is clear, but for anyone who deems it otherwise then I'm pointing it out now. This was said in jest.

I found this video on YouTube and decided it was absolutely worth posting. I didn't make it nor do I take any credit for it.

It's called Hold The Line - Retake Mass Effect 3

That gave me infinitely more feeling than the end of ME3, I just got something in my eye, it's nothing really.

that video was awesome. I just want to repost it, sorry if it has been reposted already but... Just... So emotional... Hold the Line!

I actually enjoyed the 'ending', because it wasnt actually the ending. Truth of the matter is your still sat on earth undergoing indoctrination after your body is virtually dead. Now having a mental battle with harbinger all your choices seem to be bad because they arent actually real choices. Shame they actually finish the game though without any DLCs required which is very dissapointing.

PEOPLE. Most of us know about that theory. Heck a good deal of us helped come up with it.

The fact of the matter is, if they don't release an ending DLC, it's pointless.

Even if the Indoc theory is correct, without ending DLC, all it accomplishes is that the ending goes from making no sense to a stupid incomplete cliffhanger.

It really must've been if you got excited and happy for ME3 and then this happened.

It's alright we'll get it fixed! No matter what!

Hold the Line!

Just a quick reminder of our mission:
And let's remember to keep it civil.
Hold the line!

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:

  • The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
  • We wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players with both choices and consequences to prior choices.

Just remembered something from ME2 (slightly off topic)
Was it every explained why the sun on Tali's recruiting mission was dying sooner than it should? because if not: potential DLC somewhere down the line.

I've got my fingers crossed on the Indoctrination Theory, but I'm starting to lose hope.  Even if it wasn't Bioware's intent, they should just run with it unless they scrap the whole thing and make entirely new endings.

I think it was there intent tbh, I thought so due to the way that nothing makes sense whatsoever, and you start suddenly having these strange headaches with reaper noises in the background. If it was there intent it was badly recieved by the majority however :D

I'm pretty sure that has to do with what Drew wrote, and since he wasn't any part of ME3 we can assume we won't be seeing that again.

It was because of dark matter.  Supposily the Reapers original motivation was to stop the spread of dark matter before it destroied everything.

That's a shame. It could have been a good plot line. Something similar to the Terra Nova DLC in ME1 where the astroid is heading towards the planet, instead the reapers are using this tech to try to blow up the sun of a planet that is putting up fierce resistance or something.

Just finished the game. I feel more angry dan sad. Mainly because they throw free will out of the window with this ending and force you to choose between various nonsenical endings.

He describes absolutly perfectly why we are upset at the ending in a very well thought out way that qualifies it more as fact than just his own opinion.

It was part of the Dark Energy plotline that was originally going to be the focus over the whole synthetic v organic BS. But they dropped it.

I'm glad I have plenty of Anti-Depressants left. Making sure to take my prescribed one a day so I don't become any more of a wreck.

Due to this ending, I've had to take more of my optional Anti-Anxiety meds than usual. Still below the 3 max per day I'm allowed, but still, I went from needing 1-3 a week to 1-2 a day due to this ending...

Something to do with the dark matter theory which was the foundational basis for the entire game that got tossed out with ME3
