More like 'you have to wish to be smart but in constant doubt of your mental cabapilities' to like it because its' "deep". I for one get it allright, but as one of the wonderful responses said, this "ending" is not the ending for the story being told. It's not even an ending to the mentioned story.
Hm, okay. In the commentary section on a german gamesite someone said "You need imagination, which Battlefield players do not possess."

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:
- The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
- The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
- The response from BioWare needs to change.
- We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
- We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
Retake Mass Effect 3 - Hold the line.
- We wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players with both choices and consequences to prior choices.
The thread to to do is here:

Yet another iteration of the Mass Effect.
Someone should write a Wikipedia page about this, akin to their article on, say, the Doppler effect.

They are happily waiting for a new ending DLC. They couldn't understand why there wasn't an option to just shoot the ghost kid, and that the new dlc should fix it
And also, they keep saying "rEArper" lol
So basically, they are doing the same as we are: asking questions, coming up with answers and getting more mad as they go...and more people are finishing it

I'd say you need alcohol, which I for one do not at the moment possess, and even that's just to get over my pissed-off-ness
But as said, I kinda, sorta understand how some people might like the artsy values, but I still think the ending fails at every single other aspect, including the game principles, mechanics, story, lore etc.

Yea right, Mass effect fans dont have any imagination...... some people are really just full of bull**** and seem to enjoy attempting to make you look stupid or small minded. Most of them prolly never even played or finished the game and just want to make others angry.

Are they even reading any of the messages?
No they're not. In fact, they cannot. So I'll repeat the following. It may sound a little pedantic; but bear with me for a moment.
I believe we ought to limit our 'suggestions for change' to critiques of the utter lack of sense at the end. We should not be trying to come up with positive suggestions as to specific alternate endings. I don't think that they'll stop for a moment to look at fan requests for a specific ending: as plausible and well thought out our endings may sound to us, to them, they're all violations of the intricate balance of how the 'franchise' is to be marketed----we simply don't know how many novels, comics, spin-offs, etc. they have in store, all, in some way or another, connected with their 'vision' of the 'ending'.
Neither do I think, that they will pay much attention to purely subjective complaints----they made no promises as to how we would 'feel' about the end. They will not stop for a moment to consider what they might have done wrong, to frustrate the expectations of any particular group of fans, let alone individuals.
So. Our 'suggestions' have to be strictly impersonal, and they should pertain to the failings of the ending as a whole. They have to be 'negative', as opposed to specific 'positive' additions or changes.
I've said these before, but I'll say them again.
- We do not want the story of ME3 to come to an abrupt stop, at a Diabolus Ex Machina (the Starchild). We want events in the endgame to follow logically from previous events. We do not want to see the rules of the game changed in its final moments. To change the rules of a game is to change the game. We do not want to see an arbitrary----and radical----change in the Reapers' motivations, from what we know from ME1 and 2. We want to see our war assets actively contributing to the effort, having an impact in the course of events. We want the fate of our ship and crew to fit cogently in that course of events.
- We are not asking for further 'explanation' as to the appearance of the Starchild, the Mass Relays getting destroyed, and the Normandy getting stranded. The problem is not that we are failing to understand any of these. We are not asking BioWare to justify the ending as it stands. We do not think that this is possible. The protagonist of the endgame is utterly out of character, and he is in a state of complete disregard as to all that he has done since Eden Prime: We cannot recognize that person to be Shepard; he or she has to be an impostor. We ask that the final role of the Catalyst and the Crucible be rethought. Perhaps scrapped altogether.
- These are very general outlines, that make no 'positive' prescriptions; they rather lay out the necessary constraints under which BW ought to rewrite the end. We are not petitioning for any specific ending. We are petitioning only for an 'ending framework' that is logically sound.
BioWare's job should be to make that framework rock-solid, and give us the chance to 'write our bit of the end' in terms of it. That's ALL we are asking.

Edit:
I think the best and most badass way of doing it would've been like this:
Proper, different endings with different outcomes and epilogues -> Credits -> After-credits scene where Shepard inhales.
Now THAT would've been a "**** yeah!" kind of ending!
