Wow, we are getting new people coming in here and stating they hate the ending...

No they're not. In fact, they cannot. So I'll repeat the following. It may sound a little pedantic; but bear with me for a moment.

I believe we ought to limit our 'suggestions for change' to critiques of the utter lack of sense at the end. We should not be trying to come up with positive suggestions as to specific alternate endings. I don't think that they'll stop for a moment to look at fan requests for a specific ending: as plausible and well thought out our endings may sound to us, to them, they're all violations of the intricate balance of how the 'franchise' is to be marketed----we simply don't know how many novels, comics, spin-offs, etc. they have in store, all, in some way or another, connected with their 'vision' of the 'ending'.

Neither do I think, that they will pay much attention to purely subjective complaints----they made no promises as to how we would 'feel' about the end. They will not stop for a moment to consider what they might have done wrong, to frustrate the expectations of any particular group of fans, let alone individuals.

So. Our 'suggestions' have to be strictly impersonal, and they should pertain to the failings of the ending as a whole. They have to be 'negative', as opposed to specific 'positive' additions or changes.
I've said these before, but I'll say them again.

- We do not want the story of ME3 to come to an abrupt stop, at a Diabolus Ex Machina (the Starchild). We want events in the endgame to follow logically from previous events. We do not want to see the rules of the game changed in its final moments. To change the rules of a game is to change the game. We do not want to see an arbitrary----and radical----change in the Reapers' motivations, from what we know from ME1 and 2. We want to see our war assets actively contributing to the effort, having an impact in the course of events. We want the fate of our ship and crew to fit cogently in that course of events.

- We are not asking for further 'explanation' as to the appearance of the Starchild, the Mass Relays getting destroyed, and the Normandy getting stranded. The problem is not that we are failing to understand any of these. We are not asking BioWare to justify the ending as it stands. We do not think that this is possible. The protagonist of the endgame is utterly out of character, and he is in a state of complete disregard as to all that he has done since Eden Prime: We cannot recognize that person to be Shepard; he or she has to be an impostor. We ask that the final role of the Catalyst and the Crucible be rethought. Perhaps scrapped altogether.

- These are very general outlines, that make no 'positive' prescriptions; they rather lay out the necessary constraints under which BW ought to rewrite the end. We are not petitioning for any specific ending. We are petitioning only for an 'ending framework' that is logically sound.

BioWare's job should be to make that framework rock-solid, and give us the chance to 'write our bit of the end' in terms of it. That's ALL we are asking.

That's pretty much what I said. I didn't give suggestions to a new ending and I dind't really go into details. I did add that I liked the whole game up until we went up into the Crucible.
I did want them to know that there is no need to do anything to anything before that.

The more I look at Casey Hudson the more he looks like a Husk.

Do you mean that he looks synthetic with eyes devoid of expression of feeling, or that each time you look at him you see a huge spike protruding from his chest.

Can be arranged :P

That was entirely unnecessary. Keep it civil people...:)

Yeah that was a bit too far.... Although flooding their HQ with sewage water wouldn't hurt Image IPB

I joke, I joke!

Also, is that Abe Lincoln with a shotgun?

I know it's not, but I've never noticed that before and it's strangely funny.

Soo, Japan...let me find that...

They are happily waiting for a new ending DLC. They couldn't understand why there wasn't an option to just shoot the ghost kid, and that the new dlc should fix it
And also, they keep saying "rEArper" lol

So basically, they are doing the same as we are: asking questions, coming up with answers and getting more mad as they go...and more people are finishing it

That's good to hear. The more the merrier.

i hope they have some guys which tell them what we do...
i know... language barriers...
but we need to holding the same line.

This has affected me so badly that all I can do is go download The Witcher off Steam again and try to beat it.

Or at least get past the part where I discovered Mass Effect.

I'm going to end up crying about this game while playing a completely different game with no ties to ME. I'm so sad, and not just in the emotional sense.

Well, not really. I did a full Paragon run and the last Charm option for the Illusive Man was greyed out. I only took one renegade option that run (told hime to go to h*** on Mars). Either they need to edit the last Charm/Intimidate values because they're too high or they need to edit the last Charm/Intimidate values because being forced into certain dialogue choices at certain times defeats the purpose of role-playing.

Does anyone know if that recapture-omega dlc is confirmed? Or is that just a rumor too?

I mean .. how does BW figure anyone would be motivated (as in spending money) to help Aria off all people, knowing that everyone's gonna be ****** in the end anyway...

I don't get it.

Did you import a Paragon from ME2?

Because it seems to me that you kind of have to in order to get your Paragon score all the way to the top, but I could be wrong.
