It means that they neither confirm nor deny anything nor will they until an official statement.

I'm sorry but i have to ask this question to those who support this thing.
Who gave you the right to force bioware to change the ending that i've enjoyed so much?

sorry but I have the urgent need to reply.
We have no right to force anything, so you actually got that wrong. Additionally we can not force anything from bioware either, we are just asking, I'd even say, we appeal to bioware to align the end of Mass Effect 3 to the rest of the game. And since the rest of the game is awesome, making the end also awesome, seems only logical to me.
Since you are one of the opposite people who actually enjoyed the ending, I really need to know what you liked, and due your "so much enjoyed" ending, you seem to fully understand it. I'd like you to explain it to me, if you want. a PM would be more appreciated.

You still use that word "force". We do not force anything. It's like driving with the bus. If you don't like busses, don't use them. If you don't like a certain band, don't listen to them or buy their albums. If you don't like peanut butter, don't eat it.
I don't lie to you, it's really that easy.

Omitting the "And since the rest of the game is awesome, making the end also awesome" part if your crusade will have no effect, present or future ,on my game experience than you can keep forcing this thing until you obtain a damn answer but if bioware to satisfy your request will brake the game for this tiny minority of mine i hope you all will apologize to us.

Finally got round to making my donation to Child's play.
I think Mass Effect is worth the effort if any good can come of it :)
Holding the line as always.

But I thought that he meant that if they edit any existing contents (i.e. if they let you ask question to the kid), it will have to be a patch, not a dlc...? :?

Been listening to Maikel6311. He's a Trance artist with a lot of stuff up on Youtube, not sure if that's your thing or not, but his stuff is really upbeat and energetic.

Think it means this:

I believe there is a large amount of locked content on the discs that just ended up being unused. If said content became unlocked and was rearranged to form a new ending it could be patched into the existing game because it is already there.

*I'm probably wrong though.

You know, it's funny...

A few days into this, we were being called the minority.  And no-one that liked the ending was willing to apologize to us.

Now that you're saying you're in a minority, you want us to apologize to you.

Just think about that for a second; you seem like a civil and reasonable enough individual to realize how that sounds.

Thank you for presenting your side of things; even if it isn't shared here, we do appreciate hearing the other sides' concerns.

Welcome aboard!

Check out some of the links in my signature. They're some of the best responses so far to the problem at hand.

This may come across as shameless self-promotion, but I'd be interested in hearing your take on my own response to the ending, which I sent in slightly modified form to BioWare's e-mail address.

Yes, that's an excellent list:

Goodwood wrote...

  • Give us a real, meaningful choice. Give our Shepards the option to refuse to give in to Starchild's tautological propositions and fallacious argument from authority. Rather than simply cave to the demands of an entity that is, for all we know, a manifestation of Harbinger and not a contingency program VI implanted in the Citadel itself, Shepard should be able to say "****** off!" and exhort the fleets to fight on. One of the War Assets you can acquire in the game already is a plug-in that essentially enables the Crucible to act as a GPS (Galactic Positioning System) for every Reaper—let's use that!
  • Give us a proper send-off. Shepard and Co., assuming that the player worked their arse off and got all the War Assets and played enough multiplayer to get their Effective Military Strength status up to, say, 90% (not full readiness because we don't want to put off too many people), should be able to beat the Reapers and then have a nice Return of the Jedi-style ending celebration. Whether or not it is interactive is up to you, devs, but it isn't absolutely necessary (it could simply be based on whether or not Shep is Paragon or Renegade overall)
  • Give us a proper epilogue. You did the post-campaign celebration with Dragon Age: Origins, with the memorial service if the Warden sacrifices him/herself (mine always did) or a meeting with the new ruler if the Warden survived, and it was fit for purpose. And afterward, you explained what happened to our party members with very satisfying textboxes over well-done background images, which varied depending on certain choices we made. Again, that was fit for purpose and there's no reason why they couldn't work for Mass Effect 3.
  • Sandbox mode after the credits! If we won, that is...
  • Give us the option to lose. This was something that was touted in the marketing blitzkreig starting at least from the last E3 event, and yet is strangely absent. If we chose to refuse and didn't have enough War Assets and/or EMS, make it so that the Reapers do what they ostensibly do best: reap our cycle and begin anew. This could result in nasty, painful (but deserved) cutscenes where the allied fleets are massacred, that would then cut to some alien being uncovering one of Liara's time capsules and opening it, starting off with Liara's introductory statement before fading to black and rolling the credits.

Here in germany I never had the opportunity to try peanut butter, so I can't tell. But since many people like it, it is a perfect example.
Too bad such people are just coming in here with a hit and run tactic. post something which will be heavily discussed, and never come back to answer to any question which may occur. I stay civil to any questions which arise, whatever opinion about the ending questioners may have, as long as these people are capable of normal textual communication through the internet.
dam, that sounded cool

How should it "brake" the game if it's an extension that won't affect the ME3-missions?

I doubt they would do that, if they did then they would have missed the entire point of what we're getting it. But, if they did, then I would be perfectly happy to apologise to you and to join a crusade to keep your endings.

The reason being is that myself and most of my fine fellow lineholders here believe in the freedom of choice, and the game appealed to us thusly. If they changed the ending then, again, they would remove choice from us completely. I for one would be happy with the endings we have so far if I could have some where my Shep actually gets to collect on the drinks he's owed.

To provide one thing at the expense of another is what has happened already and I'm pretty damn sure that none of us here would stand to see that happen to other people after it has happened to us.

So whats your solution to satisfy both sides? or are you happy knowing its currently broken for so many people?

I'm confused. So what i have to expect a rewrite of the ending already in place or addings other ending ot those that are already inside the game?

You are part of the same group and you gave me two complitly different answer on how handle this thing of yours.
You want a rewrite? An add? Or everybody in this "hold the line" joke have his opinon on how integrate this change in the existing content?

Being some one who has thick skin I'll answer.
1. Hold the line is in no way a joke.

2. The great thing about this group as that even though we have different views on what should be done we all agree that the current ending falls short of what we were promised and told to expect.

3. If your happy with the ending then you wount have to worry about it being changed as no one is going to force you to buy any new endsing that come in DLC. Theres nothing wrong with other *Customers* voiceing their opnions about a product falling short and asking for something to be done.

The statemente about apologizing made me laugh. So high and mighty!

Especially when everything will be optional which is the part he is missing...I mean, all you have to do is not download anything. As easy as that.
