Well I destroyed it the first time round, but kept it the second time round. (Just in case.)
And I imported the second playthrough Shepard.

Ahhh. Did I just bum myself there?

Well, this might help:

Aaaah, but I did import an ME2 save. That particular Shepard comes all the way from ME1.

No, I believe it's if you already finished ME3 and import that character that you get the Shepard lives ending.  Not just a straight up ME1 and ME2 import.

Edit: That's how I got it at least.  I am unaware if it can be done otherwise.

Wait, I didn't. And I had my Shepard all the way from ME1. And I played ME3 twice (for my sadness)

It actually has nothing to do with this: it has to do with the amount of EMS you have. If you have above 4000, and saves Anderson, you get that clip. Otherwise, you have to have above 5000.
However, in order to have that, you need to play multiplayer (which I never do, so I will never see that clip)

it would be better and faster translating the pill into Japanese and get someone billingual who front the movement. Its only option.

Exactly exactly.

They don't like how the forums work (since western forums aren't usually all anonymous, like Japanese forums), and they can't really speak English. They might understand a little, but they don't usually speak, so they prefer to stay in the Japanese forums.

They are complaining about it, and there are plenty of articles in the Japanese media talking about it(review scores there are low too), so Bioware is aware of the problem there too, so don't worry.

well as along as we have a  Bioware pressured from 2 fronts its all good.   They are with us and thats what matters.

I wonder if this ending business might eventually get a mention in shows like South Park or Big Bang Theory.

Something tells me Sheldon Cooper would not be terribly sympathetic towards Bioware.

Too bad such people are just coming in here with a hit and run tactic. post something which will be heavily discussed, and never come back to answer to any question which may occur. I stay civil to any questions which arise, whatever opinion about the ending questioners may have, as long as these people are capable of normal textual communication through the internet.
dam, that sounded cool

My god... so that means you've never had a fluffernutter sandwich?! You poor bastard you haven't even LIVED!

Hi folks.

I got an EMS of over 6000 (closer to 7000) in ME3 for PC.

However, when I got round to playing through the Renegade ending, i did not get the short "Shepard in rubble alive" clip. Tried the ending twice.

Any idea it did not work for me? Does it depend on paragon/renegade score. (The very final conversation choices with TIM were greyed out) although the tree before were availe.

Start over from the Cerberus Base Assault mission. Its when game checks EMS.

Quite possibly.

IGN has a rather well laid out list of possible "pre-endings" which will provide minor differences to the final cinematic.

Have a look at it here.

Also remember that it is your effective miltary strength which counts, not your war assets (meaning that if you can't afford Xbox Gold then you're screwed), and I believe this is decided when you attack Cerberus Base because that is your final chance to carry out any more side missions/visit citadel etc.

Same here. I hate multiplayer... and I am not getting an Xbox Gold subscription to play something I don't like ti get the best ending... that I won't even like.

"Doesn't matter where we are from, we hold the line together!" maybe?
Also, if you post it here, leave a link to the image, not the actual image, ok?

DJBare's comments a few pages back are correct. We need to calm down, and treat people as people. They came to talk and we should remain civil. It's a valid concern about if he/she liked the ending, and it gets removed? I can see that concern. We been good mostly so far so keep it civil and hold the line. For I head to work!

Well, sure, it's a "don't like it, don't download it" sort of thing. If it's optional DLC, there's no problem. But I'm envisioning something where Bioware pushes out a patch for the ending, so you get it whether you want it or not. In that case, I think giving the choice up front to play the new endings or the old ones is only fair.

I highly doubt if anything happens it will be done with a patch. Paid DLC all the way if new endings come out.

ROFL no kidding.  Guess it goes to show the maturity of the authors.. one side is based on consumer rights and protection, other is based off inflaming people to get more views of their reviews so they get more access to publishers to get more views of their reviews...etc
