"Doesn't matter where we are from, we hold the line together!" maybe?
Also, if you post it here, leave a link to the image, not the actual image, ok?

So there's concern that if we get new endings, the old ones will be discarded. Personally, I'd be fine with that, but I understand that there are those who actually enjoy what we've already got. And I don't think it's fair that they would be disappointed. I see two ways that Bioware can satisfy everyone:

Keep everything as it is, but add new endings as new choices. I don't care for this solution, since I'd like everything following Anderson's death torn out and redone entirely. And people who like the current endings might not care for any form of change at all. But I could accept this solution, and everyone pretty much gets the ending they want.

Alternatively, Bioware could give you an option at the beginning of a new game. You get to select whether you want the old endings, or the new ones. If you pick the old endings, nothing is changed at all. If you pick the new endings, everything after Anderson's death is removed and replaced. That way, everyone gets exactly what they want - we all get the ending we prefer, I don't have to see the Starchild at all, and the people who like the old endings don't have their experience changed even a little bit.

Thoughts?

Honestly now, this isn't an issue. They could always, you know, make the new endings - overwriting the whole end sequence or just adding to it - DLC.
DLC that is optional. As in, not mandatory. Everyone's happy.

Well, sure, it's a "don't like it, don't download it" sort of thing. If it's optional DLC, there's no problem. But I'm envisioning something where Bioware pushes out a patch for the ending, so you get it whether you want it or not. In that case, I think giving the choice up front to play the new endings or the old ones is only fair.

I highly doubt if anything happens it will be done with a patch. Paid DLC all the way if new endings come out.

Well it could be just a terminology issue. For example: DLC almost exclusively add's things to a product. A patch changes stuff in the games code to actually fix it.

If we are asking that they redo the end, that means it'd need to change some parts of the existing game, and hence it'd fall into the category of 'patch' more than 'DLC'.

Sweet!  Which publications were you going to do?  I should see if some of my stormchasing media contacts can give me any inroads for getting some stories published up here in Canada... most of them are newsdesk/weather though, not tech/entertainment/lifestyle.

Here in germany I never had the opportunity to try peanut butter, so I can't tell. But since many people like it, it is a perfect example.
Too bad such people are just coming in here with a hit and run tactic. post something which will be heavily discussed, and never come back to answer to any question which may occur. I stay civil to any questions which arise, whatever opinion about the ending questioners may have, as long as these people are capable of normal textual communication through the internet.
dam, that sounded cool

My god... so that means you've never had a fluffernutter sandwich?! You poor bastard you haven't even LIVED!

Its not exactly marshmallows... its marshmallow fluff. made from the same stuff but in a spreadable jam-like form.
Fluff

Fortunately (such as it is), I think the chances of Bioware implimenting any sort of new content - as opposed to bug fixes, like the character creator issues - as an 'automatic' patch is extremely, extremely unlikely.  Any new game content we get will most likely be offered for purchase, not free, and even if it is free, it will almost certainly be regular, opt-in dlc.

So depending on how they might choose to handle things, players who are currently satisfied could, I suppose, miss out on extra content (conversation with the Guardian, etc) related to the current endings, but since most of us fans are asking for significant changes and not merely better explanation of what we consider unacceptable options, that doesn't seem like a big problem.  And, again, if people are happy with the current endings as they are, there shouldn't be any reason they can't simply choose not to purchase/install any new dlc.

So, we have CNN and Forbes on our side and IGN and Kotaku against us....
Quite unexpected....

ROFL no kidding.  Guess it goes to show the maturity of the authors.. one side is based on consumer rights and protection, other is based off inflaming people to get more views of their reviews so they get more access to publishers to get more views of their reviews...etc

I think that IGN, although beeing popular, is a bunch of people who are only the average gamer: Flaming who they are not agreeing with. It sounds really rude, but after watching one of their videos, I get the imperssion they want to harass us rather then make constructive critism.

After they put this one guy into their video who shouts "Day one DLC is unforgivable." in a pitchy voice, it is proven for me that they are actually NOT a serious way to get information. Having CNN on our side is worth a thousand times IGN against us.

However, in order to have that, you need to play multiplayer (which I never do, so I will never see that clip)

Which is just another one of those things that were promised but not kept. Making multiplayer a mandatory singelplayer requirement is bound to alienate customers. Especially with XBox Live Gold is this a problem.

You can still save him. The difference is if Shep lives or not. At 5k+ shep will live regardless. If <4999 then shep dies if he did not save anderson.

Alright thats it... When we win this and get the DLCs of the endings we want... I'm going to make a fluffernutter sandwhich for everyone on this forum! Just so people can try it. They don't have to like it.

Fun facts: My friend I had growing up had a rabbit named fluffernutter because he was white with brown spots all over him.
