Clearly Bioware HAVE to redo the endings. With all this commotion (massive, even by internet standards) they risk losing a hell of allot of their fanbase.

But I expect Bioware already had a dlc plan. So now they have to reorganize it so they can make some proper endings and try to appease this massive movement against them.

Keep this sort of bad press up we might even get it for free (unlikely, but you never know) :3

Hold the line.
Like a boss.

I'm still in the doubt boat of anything happening. I hope I am wrong and this turns out like Serenity and The Peacekeeper Wars, but the doubt is eating away at my moral.

'Synthesis' is BS all the way down.

Doesn't even make sense from a 'pure fantasy' standpoint.

They had to add that option to make the rapists happy.  Seriously I see the synthesis option as rape - rape with space magic.

Whoa dude that is kind of dark. What made you think that?

Think about it. You are using your genetic information and disseminating it forcibly to every living and synthetic organism in the galaxy without permission nor have you even asked for it.   You are just literally using space magic to force your genetic material onto others.  It might not be rape in a purely sexual context - but its still pretty fu**** up.

Its about as violating as you can get without actually performing a sexual act.

I just couldn't help but think of how my favorite Sci-Fi series of all time resolved the Shadow War. A lot of it's applicable to ME3, Shepard should have said similar stuff to the god child, imo.

That's exactly what I was waiting for, to be honest... shaping your own destiny... not abiding to the reasoning of an ancient, long extinct race. THAT'S the biggest flaw with the ending. There should have been a positive note, believe in the races of the galaxy to make it right... even if it meant to deal with reapers... or maybe only some of them, those that followed Harbinger. For them it was more or less personal at this point, I guess.^^

But nope... what we et is blind obediance... did EA put you up to this BW?... seems like it...

Well, that depends on how long it took for them to decelerate. The reason FTL is possible is that the ships mass is reduced to such an extent that the thrust provided by the engines can accelerate the ship to FTL velocities. However, the inertia and momentum will stay the same, so if the ship suddenly gains mass, conservation of momentum implies that it must slow down because otherwise you are creating energy from nothing, which is impossible.

So, we know that the ship is moving at conventional speeds, probably quite slowly in fact, so effective re-entry would be achieveable, and the heat caused by re-entry would not be an issue for ship ablative plating which is designed to withstand laser damage from fighters. There SHOULD be a skid mark ploughed into the jungle behind them but...well...maybe Joker is better than we give him credit for. Or they have retro thrusters.

well if the normandy suddenly dropped from FTL, it would suddenly gain all of its mass back. this would result in a negative jerk, which we know from physics that jerks are very very bad. it would be like hitting a brick wall at mach 27. the normandy would suddenly and rapidly accelerate so negatively that people inside would be very very unfortunate...

You know, I bet if Sheppard had just looked long enough he could have found some wires to pull and turned off the star child/reapers. Anticlimactic, but better than space magic.

I always wondered at the Starchild's form. Did it make itself look like the child Shep couldn't save to try and demoralise her or something? The child getting killed was probably an event that shook Shep up the most and maybe gave her real, true doubt in herself. Makes me think that if Shep truly couldn't win, why wld this VI bother to take such a significant form? Why speak to him/her at all. Seemed like it realised it had lost this battle and gave Shep the three 'choices' at a last effort to regain control: either Shep becomes a reaper, or everyone is changed forever from what they are, or the relays are destoyed and the galatic community is crippled. Its just another reaper 'solution' which is exactly what I thought we were supposed to be fighting against.

I kept hoping for a secret 4th option in which Shep rejects this final reaper insult and win the war on her own terms. Maybe if EDI and all the Geth uploaded to that VI they could have overwhelmed it and stopped the reapers long enough for them to be taken out by the fleets...

Just drop the space hamster down and let it save the day.  Little bites here and there is all it would take.
