So any chance we will get them to comment tomorrow? I sure freaking hope so. I'm tired of stressing over this! I can't play this game a second time without knowing they're going to make it actually.. worth my time.

Just relax, man :) It's hard, but don't stress...we'll win this.

Personally I can't imagine BioWare offering a difinitive answer (be it yes or no) until PAX East. And if they do deliver a negative response, I'd sure hate to be the one who has to face the PAX East Platoon...

I think a lot of Hudson's comments about it being an "uplifting" and "bittersweet" ending only apply to the old version they cut. Which I found. http://social.biowar...4299/1#10215581

Could you all immagine, if the whole ending thing was similar to the Peter Jackson typo?

(For those of you who don't know the budget for LotR was gonna go to a different movie alltogether until someone misread, or misclicked and instead of sending the money to its intended target they sent it to Peter Jackson's proposed LotR movies. And by the time anyone realized where the money went Pete had already set things in motion to get the movie going and spent a good chunk of the money so the company decided "Let him run with it at this point.)

So here we have a Mass effect Typo where they had this ending and another ending that was actually decent.

They clicked on this one and Casey Hudson hasn't even had time to play the game. He finally gets through it and he's like "Holy **** this really WAS that bad." (Makes phone call) "Mac, you remember that asistant I put in charge the day before everything was put into the disks? Yea? Fire him. Right now."

hahaha.  Yeah I pretty much said it an hour after I played... I work in the Application Development IT field.. so I'm used to making choices (or usually having them made for me) about features being cut/trimmed due to time constraints.  This entire ending just screamed that they ran out of time, and then the Final Hours documentary pretty much confirmed it..

They probably made the decision to go with this ending thinking it was more likely to get completed on time than the other, better one.  Sadly they barely got this one done, they really should have made the decision back then that they weren't going to compromise the end of their last story to get it out 'on time'.  Oh well, lesson learnt.. hopefully they don't do that again and fix it now Image IPB

Whether or not we get an official response tomorrow, it's extremely encouraging to see so many newcomers here, who have witnessed the alleged 'ending' for themselves over the weekend. This will grow into an even bigger avalanche in the coming weeks.

Rudimentary endings of lies and plotholes, you touch my mind fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding. Millions of hours after you have been eradicated, and forgotten, we will remain.

I know several people who picked the game up on release day and still haven't completed it. I expect the numbers of the dissatisfied will only continue to grow.

Oh I'm holding the line with you guys regardless! But let's be honest here, a lot of us WANT to play the game again. We just can't do it because of how horribly depressed we are. Knowing all those people I'm talking to on the citadel are going to die horrible deaths in the end?  Just... ugh.

Good thing Harbinger's extranet connection's only the lite version.. he only has enough bandwidth to control one person at a time!

That and he went with AOL....

It's a miracle he can control anyone at all.

He's extremely good at directly manipulating data packets, so he can get commands out much more efficiently than most beings...but again, because of his lousy connection, he can only do it to one person at a time effectively.

I think I heard he made 3 people lose control of their bowels, though, when they were about to put in posts that support our Movement...but then his connection went down for an hour.

Senior citizens everywhere line up to allow their bowels to have direct control assumed..... should have seen this coming.Image IPB

Well, that's not so bad. I mean, a lot of people on the citadel we spoke to were morons. Admittedly we didn't speak to even a minute percentage of the 13.4 million inhabitants, but as a cross section reference I am pretty sure we can deduce that with the slaughter of the citadel's population, galactic intellect has actually increased.

On the other hand, the fact that Wrex won't get to see his kids, and the Quarians aren't ever going to live on Rannoch. That's just wrong.

Hold fast soldier.

At the moment BW appears to be in full damage control mode, which means ambigous statements, attempts to distract, inflame, divide or make us look like whiney children are more likely in the immediate future. They are hoping to wear us down and ride out the storm, and failing that buy themselves time to work out exactly what they should and can afford to do.

Bioware will, currently, be assessing the situation. But unless they already have an ending DLC in the works it is unlikely they will commit themselves until they've had time to review all the data available to them.

We most stay calm, cool and collected and not react to these attempts - basically holding the line as we have done from the beginning.

My best guess, based on what Intel we have, is that Bioware will be forced in committing themselves one way or another within the next week - but even if they make such a decision they might opt to wait a while longer to see if we 'run out of steam' before making any statements. The simple fact is that sale for what was meant to be their biggest selling product of the year have tanked, they already have problems because of the cost of developing the MMO and to cap it all off the mainstream media is starting to pick up on the story. This places us in the stronger position, but only if we hold fast and refuse to rise to any bait they might try to throw our way.

While I agreed with a lot of his points, his tone in general was way too scathing. The way he went about stating his stance while insulting everything pissed me off a bit.

He had the exact opposite stance as Colin, but seemed just as stuck up about it as well.

I loved the Citadel residents - C-sec especially - and every part about it. I'd idle there for hours just looking at all the cars flying by.. so yeah, I care about all those souls lost. Insulting the population and then throwing your Krogan and Quarian bias out there is just silly, even for this thread.
