the fact that you two are discussing this shows how much the stories of these games drew us, as gamers, into them. your conversation is what this is all about. we all played the same exact game yet, based on our characters, we have vastly different interpretations of the same situations. this is a testament to the awesomenss that Bioware has put forth for us to enjoy.
Unfortunately its the exact reason we are also so upset at these endings. They take away from the games. they make the mechanics of the game pointless. the endings make it so that your conversations and discussions about the same thing based on your character for your playthroughs are moot.
This is why we are upset.
Pretty much this, exactly. We are all invested in this universe and we care about its inhabitants to various degrees. I love the Citadel very much, and maybe some other guy doesn't? At the end of the day, we care enough to come out and state why we care or don't care about it, and do so with conviction!
I think the main reason everyone is banding together like this is because it forces us, ALL of us, no matter what we think or who we hate or like, to come together and fight for the very universe we love itself.
There is always something to love in Mass Effect. Be it Turian, Krogan, Asari. Citadel, Omega, Cerberus or Alliance. These endings destroy
everything, so that's why it's important to Hold the Line.
Fighting for everything, like big 'guddamn heroes.
