Let us not be discouraged, my comrades, my friends.

I will continue to hold the line with you all. This game, these characters, and the story mean too much to me. I won't allow myself to accept the ending we have.

I will fight on, alongside you all. And I will hold the line.

It means too much to all of us. I simply refuse to give up, and none of you should either! Losing hope because of a bot message at this late hour? Tsh!

Come to think of it, doesn't every other day have some kind of "OH GOD ITS OVER MOMENT"? I heard it when casey made his statement, i heard it when final days went live ect....

hahah, I was thinking the same thing. I didn't really get why people were freaking out when C Hudson made a statemente. It was a "good" statemente rather than a bad one. Plus no one said there weren't going to fix it.

And this is probably a bot. Until an official statemente...holding the line! ^_^

I think that was more the people who thought BW had the "truth" dlc ready and waiting, and the statement pretty much stated that bioware didn't.

I tried to make games with different LIs, but always found myself drifting back to Tali in the end.  It was her personality for me. Image IPB

On another note, I sent in my email to Bioware, and helped my younger brother get through his disappointment from the ending with some comic relief we could all use:

Hold the line.

That ending is better than the one we got.

Not enough speculation, people LOVE speculation.

To be honest, I LIKE those choices of endings.

But not in a game.

In a book you could end it just as Shepard is about to answer. But in this game that ending also "limits" the amount of choices one feasibly has for a game like ME. It would lock the writers in with an immovable, immaleable plot device.

If there's one "Good" thing that came out of this royal ****up at the end of ME3 is the fact that NOW when/if they do this DLC to change the endings the writers can realise that the Sky is literally the limit in the number of ways this can end/be resolved/written off.

The reapers can win

The reapers can suffer numerous losses but "win" and the galactic war goes on for the next few centuries with no clear victor. The reapers won't have the numbers to push forward and the organics just wont have the resources/technology to fight the reapers and finish the job

Both fleets above earth can be destroyed along with the citadel

The organics can achieve a phiric victory (possibly at the cost of the relays)

The organics win on earth with heavy losses

The reapers can be destroyed along with Earth itself.

See, the sky's basically the limit. (The space god child is well beyond the BS limit to be sure) They can really just cut loose (LIKE THEY PROMISED) and just go absolutely crazy with the number of endings they can make

So yea. Original endings good. Just for a different format in my OP.

But hell if that's what they give us I'll take it. Anything's better than this Godchild BS

That's because they deleted it while crapping their pants at the ****storm it was already causing. Same with the FB post.

I didn't see it either, but I guess it said something along the lines of "no plans at this time for new ending dlc" or something.

Doesn't matter, holding the line.

Just noting another thing that bothers me about the ending. So, the Citadel explodes over Earth. Wouldn't that mean that the pieces would eventually fall to the surface of the planet and completely devastate it even further? Seems like it would be a lot worse than any asteroid impact I can imagine. Thoughts?

Seems likely. What I'd like to know is what happens to the people living on the Citadel, Kolyat, Commander Bailey, the Council, and all those refugees, when the Reapers take it over at the end. They're all probably dead, which seems like another blow to the galaxy at large.

So, let's take a look at the damage thus far. Earth is utterly ravaged and destroyed. The Citadel is completely destroyed. Every mass relay in the Milky Way has been deactivated and destroyed (I'm assuming this does not mean the destruction of its accompanying system like in the Arrival DLC). Millions of aliens are stranded in the Sol System and have no means of returning to their homeworlds. Only a small token force of Quarians remained on Rannoch, so the majority still with the fleet will starve to death once their dextro-amino-acid supplies run out. That goes for the Turians, too. And since most of their population is in the military, most will be stranded and eventually starve. The Krogan will never see Tuchunka again and the females will be forced to oversee a wasteland of a planet with no incoming supplies for their future offspring. Most asari will never get the chance to see Thessia ever again and rebuild. In my playthrough, EDI and the geth were ultimately destroyed. The Normandy crash-lands on a strange planet, forcing its crew to pull a stunt like Jacob's father. Garrus and Tali will eventually starve unless the planet is dextro-based. If it is, everyone else will starve. Personally, I have no idea what the Drell, Hanar, Elcor, Rachni, and Salarians will do now. Oh, and did I mention Shepard, possibly the most important person in the entire galaxy, is dead no matter what (I don't see how Shepard could survive the Citadel's destruction in any event).

Basically said that there were no plans for more endings at this time.

It's still not giving a straight answer since the discussion could still be ongoing.

Looks as if the official word may be "No."

Hmm...not definite. That twitter account has said many, maaany things by now. Until I hear an official statement by someone up in the chain...I'll keep holding the line :)

I may be old fashioned, but "official" news on all this is going to have to come on a slightly more formal medium than twitter or facebook!

If someone does, we can pretty much guess that it was true, since it seems that stifling it would be concealing evidence of what they were planning.
