Hold the line.

The company is measuring response, it's in damage control and assessment. No need to panic. Even if they give a straight out answer like "we're not going to change the endings in any way", that doesn't stop the fight, that doesn't mean that no alternative endings will be seen in the end, when the dust settles and financial raports are made. Remember: this isn't just about our dissatisfaction and theirs oblivious satisfaction with the finale. It's about business. Consumers. Money. Advertising & PR. Units shipped, units sold, units returned, multiplayer games played, survey numbers and statistics. It all counts and the game doesn't stop even when they blow their first "enough is enough" whistles. It will be "enough" when we will be satisfied with the product we've bought. Not a second sooner.

This is a big company with gigantic money flowing from left to right, with its core fanbase - essential to any marketing plans and long-term financial stability - currently in uproar. Public trading means that A LOT of finance advisors and brokers look at each action BW/EA takes and at the reaction to those actions from the general public - and if something goes wrong, they loose money. If they loose money and don't repair the leak - they loose even more money. You would be surprised how much bad reviews at Amazon or other major outlets can cost in the long run.

You may frown at this, but in its core this conflict is about whether your money stays here, or goes elsewhere, whether you help spread the word about BioWare & EA games, or stay the hell away from them. This is the Consumerism 2.0 and it's a battle closely observed not only by the "gaming people" but also by specialists from the money markets & publishing (hence the interest from Forbes and other major news outlets), people who tell other people if it's worth to finance BW and EA projects, if its worth to add those 25% to the game's budget, if it's worth to expand, buy company stock, keep the GAME going.

We fight, because we feel cheated, our experiences shattered, Shepard betrayed - we fight because of our emotions, preferences and opinions, things that may seem abstract, but are actually worth THIS and THIS much in USD. And that's a good thing - because this means that in the long run we cannot simply be ignored. If we are a reasonable force, if we don't just sail away because we get bored, if we remember that we actually are the most important consumer group - we will get what we want, one form or another, sooner or later.

Don't get discouraged. Don't quit. Don't think that you don't matter. And most of all: HOLD THE LINE.

This, and thanks for saying it.

I'd be happier with an ending where the Crucible is a cloning facility and the Catalyst is the Turin Shroud. You pick Blue, Red or Green and then an army of color coordinated Jesii Clones pop out of the Crucible and fly around in space destroying the reapers while the opening theme for Trigun plays ( ).

Reporting in to say I'll hold the line in my sleep tonight, and to also state that there is no longer any going back for me now.

I was planning on buying more Bioware products if/when they finished the ending.

Now, **** them. Even if they do fix it, that DLC that fixes it will be the last Bioware product I will ever buy, and I'll make damned sure I think twice before purchasing any EA product.

This FB and Twitter **** just kills me.

Way to go Bioware...another loyal (for 8+ years!) fan shot to hell.

Hold that line!

Newcomers: there's a poll at IGN's facebook page.

https://www.facebook...50639359051633/

This is somewhat significant, in that the results are almost certain to humiliate IGN for their condescending attitude towards us. Some of us----who strongly despise 'facebook' (like yours truly)----opened accounts just in order to vote for this. (Which, if you don't want to give facebook your regular email address [no one should], involves getting an extra email address for this purpose.)

Oh, of course.  Post this after I've already typed in my response. :P

I'm not so pissed now, but it's still at semi-lethal levels.  Gonna take a lot more "oops, yeah, our bad" to calm me down all the way.

No one here is going to blame you for feeling as you do.

Expressing such emotions is much more healthy than bottling them up. Wounds fester if left untreated, after all.

So after this whole debacle how much pressure do you think is gonna be on the Dragon age team to do things RIGHT!?

*Reading* *Hands script back* "Nope. Go add stuff."

"What? But...but this is like 60 hours of gameplay and dialogue. How much more do you need?"

"Have you seen them out there?" *Pulls back office curtain to reveal horde of angry fans outside Bioware's parking lot.* "Go add to it!"
