I'll post this again because I don't want it to get lost amidst the 'patriota' noise.

This might be going on: The people who played it saved their game, and went into the final battle with whatever preparation they had. Then, they kept loading THE SAME SAVEGAME, to see how other options would go.

No wonder we only get variations on the same sort of ending.

A better point has not been raised this whole thread.

There is no vidoe of the in game rendered things but the game has been mined we can tell you every single in game rendered scene that happens if you wanted from the programing. This is all therer is the world is round no matter how much you pray and hope it is flat.

The videos have been mined.  There are no other endings.

And yet the part that has most of the people here in hysterics (Normandy stranded in every ending), you say is rendered in-game.  Isn't it then logical that there are other ending sequences that are rendered in-game?

Seriously, do you have any self-awareness at all?

I thought you needed 5,000 - 10,000 war assets to get a decent ending?

@unit-alpha: you're very invested in getting ppl to cancel their pre-orders. Is this another crusade? There's been alot of crusades lately.

I don't want people to be disappointed and flood the forums day of release. Seriously, that is the only reason. I'm not telling people not to buy the game, I just want them ot make sure they know what they are getting into.

This is just silly... "leak" vids being just few sec clips from trailers and the few real scenes that don't really prove anything one way or the other. I am disappoint..

Hey GTFO guy, you have a friend!

No you can keep him, you seem just as crazy as that guy.

Cute, I adore it when people who are obviously trying to hide the truth from themselves attack others.

Also, I'd like to know how I'm crazy. Please.

"Hide truth" Hahahah, you have no clear proof, you just have hearsay about people getting something out of datamining/playing. Only reason you believe these is because they have few scenes to show, that don't really reveal anything or point to anything. You're insane, if you are unable to question something that lacks proof. :D

You're just sad, I am sorry, but really. Who were you trying to sway over with those "leak videos"? Just so sad..

You do realize there's about 40 leaked vids out there now and absolute proof that many people have now played through the game.  You're the one who is ignoring proof.  Go to the friggin' spoiler group and stop questioning what a ton of us have already seen.  You're making a fool of yourself because you have no idea how much is already out there.  Check out the SA and Escapist forums too.  Plenty more vids.

I've been holding out hoping this was some sort of epic trolling being done by -not trolling gods- but the trolling titans. I must admit though, I've always believed that what we know through the leaks are true.

I have now seen the in-game files myself. I can confirm that there is no pre-rendered video that eludes to any sort of happy ending. However, I have figured out how to get a somewhat happy ending, although it means not being with my LI... From my understanding, Gilligan's Planet is real-time, so there could be more endings, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh well, head canon ftw...

Because the stranded scene depends on the choices made in game. Who/how appears out of the hatch etc. It's not a cinematic but ingame.

...okay, right.  I realize that, but from that, how do you extrapolate that the stranded scene occurs in every iteration of the ending?

Am I crazy or wasn't that what most people were concerned about?

Not everyone knows that ME's Binks are mute unless when played from inside the game. Most other games' Binks have full sound. You don't need to scorn anyone for that.

$50 for a DLC where you force her out the airlock and watch her die.

Considering she likely is also stranded on Planet Deliverance, you would be doing her a service by killing her.

Did they say pre-Prothean-extinction races? I thought they meant, like, pre-humanity era of the current set of races. There's potential for story there.
.

I don't even think there is potential for a story there. It would be better to go another 30 extinctions into the past.

Think about it, do I really want to play the Proteans, replay what they could have did better, how they could have warned us better. All the while I am playing, I know how it ends?

This isn't a time travel type thing, just as step into the past, nothing changes, ME3 still happened. To me at least, it would be a bit frustrating to play the past, fine tune what the protheans could have did better, but always knowing nothing I did really mattered............like the last 2 Bioware games:)

I fully admit I do not like prequel games, they inherently remove most of my choice and my characters impact upon the world.

Really, I feel like the sources are legitimate. The only thing we can hope for is that they decide to make an addition through DLC which yes, unfortunately I would pay for.

It would be easy enough to write it in, and it would still have a bittersweet element to it.

Shepard walks away from the final decision. For once in his/her life, Shepard lets the chips fall where they may.

The Catalyst stops meddling in organic affairs, the Reapers return to dark space, and everybody else goes home. If the singularity is inevitable, give us the option to let it happen. It will eventually mean the total destruction of civilization (which we will eventually get via singularity with the Destroy ending anyway), and Shepard knows it. This, combined with the devastation already wrought by the Reapers, delivers the bittersweet element. Everyone alive now lives out their lives; society (maybe) destroys itself a few tens of thousands of years down the line via singularity, and only then do the Reapers return to re-seed the galaxy with life, inverting their former purpose. What we get is a different kind of cycle, one that doesn't necessarily have to end with the extinction of organic life. Whether it does or not  is up to us (organics). The responsibility falls on us to make that decision. We shouldn't be "protected" from the consequences of our own actions.

Beats the hell out of some magical green energy wave that spontaneously converts everyone in the galaxy into husks, if you ask me.

This, this so much :(
Please apply to lead writer instead of certain someone, pweez?

Seriously, I came up with that scenario in less than five minutes after hearing about the actual ending. I'd be tempted to apply, but I think we're learning all too well how much they actually listen to us.

Honestly, I hope the people thinking there are unseen endings that haven't been obtained by anyone with an early copy of the game yet for some unseen reason are right. It's illogical and nearly delusional of me to believe so against all evidence to the contrary, but the game would be better if it were true.

Since I don't pre-order games anymore, I don't really lose anything if the leakers are right.

The forumla is War Assets X Readiness. You need 10k in war assets if you plan on doing SP, since your readiness meter will remain at 50%. So: 10k X .5 = 5000. You need 5000 to just get the "good" ending. You'll need 4000 and the correct choices to get the same "good" ending.

I feel like my trust in Bioware, a company who's games I have adored for years. I feel like that trust has been largely betrayed... If Mass Effect 3 ends on this depressing note and that's all I can get, think I'm just gonna sell the entire series and try to forget it. I've got horribly attached to Mass Effect 3, more than any Bioware game ever.

Bioware succeeded in making myself and many others care deeply about what happens in the story. If their goals was to make me feel utterly powerless, unhappy and depressed at the ending by doing something completely unexpected from Bioware standards then yeah you won.

I'm expecting a super-cheesy 'galaxy screwed, but Earth becomes its new capital' ending.

The concept of a galactic capital is incompatible with any scenario in which the Relays are rendered inoperable. Capital of the Local Cluster? Maybe, but it probably already was in the first place. Society without the relays would be society totally dependent on FTL travel for expansion, so in this ending it would be divided into isolated star clusters until some form of galactic-wide travel or communication could be re-established.

Calling me sad, classy, yvonnebeach.gif.

Sure, I'm willing to admit there's a possibility that the videos aren't true. But you are the one with no evidence, not me. And thus you come out sounding like an insane person, claiming 30 minutes of video is "5 second videos."

You are unable to admit that it's possible that we are right, and we *do* have proof. You are the sad, insane one here.

You're really grasping at straws, did I hurt your feelings? Awwww.... You have a blue barbie as your avvie, so please don't bring up the avatars since you can't beat me in any argument or any contest. My avatar only says, that I enjoy watching beautiful things and instead of generic ME/DAO one, I rather have such thing as my avatar.

I haven't seen any proof, the only ones you linked were just short clips from the trailer. Didn't really see much proof going around in the group either. People just say things are so, because they say so and it's same in this thread.

I rather wait till the game is out and tested it out myself, I am awesome like that. B)
