I broke out my old Business Management textbook from college, and found this:

Customers are often regarded as the MOST CRITICAL stakeholder group since if a company cannot attract them to buy its products, it cannot stay in business. Thus, managers and employees must work to increase efficiency and effectiveness in order to create loyal customers and attract new ones. They do so by selling customers quality products at a fair price and providing GOOD AFTER-SALES SERVICE. They can also strive to improve their products over time and provide GUARANTEES to customers about the INTEGRITY of their products. (Business Organization and Management, Mcgraw-Hill)

Certainly, with Bioware's history of games, they earned the right to provide guarantees that the ending would be exactly what Casey Hudson said it would be, unique endings dependent on your choices in the games, not a cookie-cutter A, B, C choice. And yet, that's exactly what they provided us, and is completely going against what a college textbook explained is a company's most important stakeholder--us.

"Yes, at this point we are looking into Jedi v. Gremlins endings that make no sense but are still better than the original.

Thank you for your valuable input!  Was there anything else you liked about the game?  Make sure to share *that* with us so we can feel less heartless!"

Hold strong, it is only a matter of time. They will give us something at this point because they have to, to many people are upset. Now will that be something we all like?

Saddly we have many divisions here
1) Leave the ending group (10%)
2) Explain the ending better group
3) Create a new ending group but keep the same sad overtones.
4) Create a new HAPPIER ending group

Which one of those options offends the least amount of people? That will be what happens.
I personally want #4...

Before i forget!

Well no actually people really aren't arguing for any specific endings that they, in particular, would like to see. The core demand is that the ending sequence make some sense.
Once a logically sound 'ending framework' is in place, then it should be possible to get a wide array of outcomes; but the important thing is that the ending has to make some sense first.

I honestly hope they give us a bit of everything...sounds greedy, but would make sense as well. Having the OPTION to have depression and sacrafice as well as sunshine and bunnies would be nice...that's just my opinion though, no need to go spreading it around.

it really doesn't take 16 endings for people to feel closure with the series.  There is:
1  you lose
2. you win but willingly sacriice your life to do so
3. you win and move off to wherever and raise krogan or turians or asari

I thik that covers it.

Haha , I think the "Still a better ending than Mass Effect 3" meme needs to gain more traction.

People like I said. Get on that Facebook page and tell them your opinions. Alot of the other people who HAVEN'T actually beaten the game are telling them to stick to their guns. Get on that page and tell them why the ending sucked (I already commented myself)

Holding the line means actually HOLDING IT outside of where people agree with you almost unanimously.

I want 4 as well. They can leave the endings if they want but for God's sake give us a choice in the matter!

That's not being a terrible parent.

That's being a responsible parent, as you'd be teaching the lil tyke how to safely use firearms and heavy ordnance. And why not? Shepard's progeny could easily fill her shoes once they grow up, with their parent as an exemplar of the values that saved a galaxy.

Just finished. I don't know, I didn't expect the ending to be happy or perfect. I went the middle route and it certainly appeared as if organic life was spared and has a chance to continue. It may be nice to have other options but (and no offense) a lot of this strikes me as our conditioning to always having a perfect and happy ending... and I think that's just as much of a cop-out as anything else.

We're happy to welcome you in our ranks.

You may want to check out some of the links in my signature.

I hope you guys get what you want to make the series complete for you, but I feel pretty okay about how it all played out. I never expected everything to work out perfectly, especially not with some of the final mission foreshadowing.

Is it a coincidence that the comments in favor are.......rather senseless?

Variations on these three themes:
'An art work is an artwork. BioWare has got everyone talking about their ending. That is a successful artwork.'
'I liked it, so shut up'
'It couldn't have ended any other way'
