Brings up a good point, too... why the hell do we have to sit through that stupid bodyscanner every single time we run through that room?

Hahaha! and I wondered the same thing, that scanner thing was really annoying and boring, but what the hey...that scanner pales in comparison to the ending.

I think I've found the opposite effect in some places. The ending pissed off people so much they find every little thing wrong with the game and bring it out to light (such as the people sprites during the earth escape, Tali's stock photo, etc.) Mostly stuff I didn't even think about until I was told of it.

Ehh after thinking about it more and reading a little bit I guess I do agree that the ending was weak. Primarily on the concept that nothing you did mattered at all (when we were promised it would... choose A, B, or C?) and that I guess you do have to assume most life is going to be destroyed as a result of the relays being taken out. It doesn't really make a lot of sense I suppose. I don't really want a picture perfect happy ending, but one that makes more sense would be nice.

yeah, the further you get away from the ending, the more you start seeing everything that was wrong.  maybe that was part of the space magic.
