Because the stranded scene depends on the choices made in game. Who/how appears out of the hatch etc. It's not a cinematic but ingame.

...okay, right.  I realize that, but from that, how do you extrapolate that the stranded scene occurs in every iteration of the ending?

Am I crazy or wasn't that what most people were concerned about?

I admit I'm a girl, but I could not hate Twilight more. I like bittersweet endings and down endings. So if ME3 had 2 of 7 endings that were like: 'Galactic space travel was destroyed...but Shepard and his crew survived on planet X' or 'Shepard and the Normandy sacrificed their lives to save trillions of others.' Those aren't "fangirl" endings, but they have one critical element -- Shepard and the people he's been to hell and back again with stay together in the end. WTH is there not even one ending that does not separate Shepard from his crew forever? That's not variety.

Do you have any idea what self awareness means?  Clearly not.  Obviously I know that.

You keep ignoring the fact that people have played the game already and have now been utterly vindicated by the leaks today.  Yesterday you could deny it.  Today you can't.  Tank was a tester on the game and played it for months.  He's seen every ending and everything he's said matches the videos long before they came out.  The flashbacks which are out there now, the colors associated with the endings, everything he's said and everything Xio has said.  We now have a guy in the spoiler group that has the PC prereleased and mined the vids.  Same thing.  So forgive me if I follow parsimony and believe the preponderance of evidence.

Added, and it is good. Bioware uses soundless bik files, for some reason, probably to keep sound compression to a minimum and reduce the discernable difference between pre-rendered and in-game renders soundwise...

Now that I think about it, nice touch, Bioware, I have to give you props for that.

It seems there are plenty of people here who would contest the description of the ending as "perfect." I was able to think of an equally plausible alternative "happy" ending in less than five minutes, which retains the bittersweet element because we know society will eventually be destroyed, no matter what.

So they make new FTL ships with the parts from the old one. The response Element Zero produces when charged with electricity still happens. The Crucible screwed up machinery, it didn't shut off the laws of physics.

Sadly, not, the Dead Island stuff is great, though. The trailer was spectacular... too bad the game didn't live up to it.

I'm not going to cancel my preorder, I'll give it a chance, play through at least once. But if all we get for endings is these depressing "screw over everyone in the galaxy" endings I'm done with Bioware. Well, I'll continue to support The Old Republic because I think it's a great game but won't get anything else from them.

I've been looking forward to Mass Effect 3 more than any game ever so I hope they aren't going to take another giant steaming sloppy crap on my lap like they did with Dragon Age 2.

Please don't ban me, but you did cross the line Bioware from a edgy dark ending to a "why bother nothing I do matters ending". Maybe a fine line, but I'm in the camp of blah why bother:)
