Good Morning. ^_^

Nope someone at Bioware messed up and Jessica had to make a  quick PR rejection of  the statement... "Someone mispoke"

You know when the phrase gets thrown around someone  dun goofed.

Ooh, okay! Thanks :)

Jessica Merizan described the person, if I remember correctly, as a "misinformed individual". At the moment nothing is clear.  The option for a futere ending dlc is still there, just like the option for no ending dlc at all.

Haha, yeah...the "no ending dlc option is still there" part is depressing...wish they would say there is (isn't) going to be one already...

Someone's thoughts about the position BioWare is in at the moment.

I'd say this is why no definitive statement has been given yet. Whatever the story is, BioWare have got to be in a bad place right now and need to tread lightly.

In my opinion probably the biggest problem is, that the game breaks with its very own lore. Without any explanation at all.

You simply do not do that. If you set something in stone, but then change it, you have to give a very detailed explantion as to why you changed it. That usually backfires.

To be honest I don't really think it's anything, it's negated so carefully that we're basically back to square one. The fact that they are slippig up like this, however, means that they getting clumsy. And people usually get clumsy when they are under pressure. So, in a way, we're making progress.

yeah, that sounds pretty accurate and i think you're quite right.
can't wait for atghunters response though.

Welcome to the line onionbeave, stow your gear and get comfortable, no shooting until the attack order is given!

onionbeaves post should be noted by everyone, we are not at war with Bioware, this is still the negotiation stage.

Their will be no war at all. One way or another i don't see why we should " shoot " at bioware/ea. Either they accept our claim as legitimate and act on it, or they dismiss us and thus bioware would have ruined all the confidence i could have in their work. No point in shooting in either case

I know believe me, but we can't give in to illusions. The truth is that nothing is set in stone. Yet. But That's why we're here, right? So eventually it will be official that a new ending will be released.

I really feel sorry for them, but I think that admitting that they made a mistake and fixed it will actually make their reputation better rather than worse. Because it will mean they listen to fans, and at least I know I will love them forever. It's better than leaving as it is.

But option #1 isn't that bad either...if the DLC is free. If it's paid, then they will look like they're only after money and released only a portion of the game.

By the way...I recently started a new game with a brand new character just to check up on something and found that I already have all the war assets which I earned through my first play through, including all the upgrades/downgrades. Anyone else get this?

Personally, my money is on option 1. It's the first rational explanation that occurred to me after I got over the initial shock of the terrible ending.

Time will tell.

Wasn't it pretty much the same in ME1 & 2?

It may just be me, but I thought that synthesis was the worst of all the endings. It makes the least sense, and flies the hardest in the face of everything that led to that point.

The synthesis ending was the worst one for me too. I literally went "lolwut" and then facepalmed. And then I facepalmed some more.

Then the rage hit. <_<

You just described my reaction perfectly!...wait...stalker?:?

Anywho...

Psychotic Biotics signing in. Any news other than a "misinformed individual"?

Leaving for work, but I heard passionate fans love it, so I've left a great big bowl of Speculation for everyone on the coffee table. Enjoy! (but be careful; it's very rich and can upset your stomach...)

I agree. This was to me the most WTF of them all. And then some people said that was the "good" ending which led to more WTF. How can forcing everyone to undergo this change, that will make everyone one and the same, be a good thing? Isn't ME all about tolerating different species and their differences and getting them to work together? At least I thought so until I played that ending....

(And I finally got a chance to quote you, elirian, darling, haha <3)

Not if it's a virgin character. Everything is reset. The only thing to carry over in ME1 was the "Buyback" list from your last save, and in ME2 it was a cash bonus and all the Heavy Weapons. The carrying over of War Assets seems a bit stupid given that you might make different choices and some of these choices appear to have been made for you already (for example you can't undo giving the gun to the Asari patient even though the choice to authorize or ignore it is still there in the Spectre panel)

Not sure if it was posted here before, but Gametrailers also took interest in ME3 endings controversy:

It just quotes what Hudson says, however with Gametrailers being a very big gaming site it may be worthy to press on our opinion about the endings there some more. Maybe ask that Michael McWhertor guy to write some more stuff about this in his Side Mission.

So the question is what will first DLC be and whats going to be planned after that?

Geth Infiltrator and Engineer
Batarian Solider and Sentinal
Prothean Vanguard and Adept

I think it will be 50/50 MP/SP DLC. I don't see how they can make it all singleplayer when the galaxy is at a state of war and they can only have so much material. They might make a DLC that changes the the outcome of the ending if you play it but i have a feeling it will be like arrival where you learn more about the reapers and gain an advantage in terms of war assets and a special item.

It's hard to feel sorry for them when they put themselves in such a situation. They colossally miscalculated what the fan response would be, but the onus was on them to deliver something that should have satisfied.

Problem is, if it's 50/50 MP/SP, a lot of people might not get it...people like me
Not everyone can play multiplayer (emphasis on can)
And...at this point, I know I'm not getting anything for ME3 unless it's the ending...

Ok, real human here gotta go to school...sucks, I know. Be back tonight~!
Keep holding the line :)

Yes, and I'm talking about creating a brand new virgin character in ME3, so your imported character doesn't really have any bearing on what I'm talking about :)
