Nah. It's just that this is the way Shepard's entire saga ends, so there's ~six years riding on it. The destination's more important than it would be if this game was a standalone.

That's the real reason this is such a big deal to me. Many of us have spent 5-6 years getting attached to these characters, the places and lore. If it were a single game that we spent a week with, it wouldn't hit nearly as hard as this does (the earlier mentions of RDR come to mind here). Essentially, we've been told all these years that these characters, these places are what we're fighting for, this civilization... and now, it's all gone. The Mass Effect universe as we know it ceases to exist. If that is not the very definition of sad, I don't know what is.

Edited to add: If that is indeed not the case, which I very much hope it is not, then I'll be jumping for joy that this was all a big mistake.

Edit 2: All that said, I'm sure the game itself will be awesome, right up until the bitter end.

.bik videos are silent probably due to them being voiced in different languages, audio files are smaller in mb than video, so it would be inefficient to merge audio and video and create several movies for different languages.
And on topic, I still try to hope for a surprise at 6th of March or that Prothean DLC proves to be something more than just simple squadmate. But with those bink videos my hope grows smaller and smaller...

I have no doubt the game will be solid, maybe even great. Regardless of what bioware does to the franchise [and itself], I will always love this game series. I will enjoy ME3.

But the endings are still bad. And if they stay as they are, bioware will have a lot of damage control to do. Not just from tween girls wanting true love endings with their space boyfriends. But from people who wanted endings that actually reflected the choices they made.

There are some who care only about the journey.
There are some who care only about the end.
And there are some that care about both.

You are entitled to your opinion. :)

Yeah, but... at that point, we might as well just all watch the ending on YouTube and save ourselves $60-80.

Already planning on it. Really I have ME2 being the real ending in my mind.

Flying around the galaxy with my crew, fliching Cerberus' employees and their two biggest investments. Feels good man.

You
wouldn't have thought that from the SR-3's wreckage they'd be able to
build an entire trailer park, Wal Mart and Waffle House, but by god they did it. Don't even ask where or how they found the 1978 Camaro Z28 with no wheels.

Turns out you can make meth out of eezo, too.

That would explain some behavior on the Normandy... Jack is awfully close to the drive core and the ants comment she makes... someone's been borrowing some eezo;)

Man screw your stupid video endings , if you guys tried to extract ME2 endings merely through Bink extraction , then all you will see is the Collector base exploding , you will see nothing about Shepard surviving or dieing , nothing about who of your crew lives or dies , nothing about the conversation with the TIM afterwards .

This is getting tedious and ridiculous , I feel sympathy for all those people who still believe in this BS!

Aren't you the guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who works with a company who has witnessed a guy play the game who claims there are more endings but didn't provide any evidence beyond his word?

Yep, in the flesh .

Not to mention the Normandy getting a beating, without any of the upgrades...

This is just silly... "leak" vids being just few sec clips from trailers and the few real scenes that don't really prove anything one way or the other. I am disappoint..

Hey GTFO guy, you have a friend!

No you can keep him, you seem just as crazy as that guy.

Cute, I adore it when people who are obviously trying to hide the truth from themselves attack others.

Also, I'd like to know how I'm crazy. Please.

"Hide truth" Hahahah, you have no clear proof, you just have hearsay about people getting something out of datamining/playing. Only reason you believe these is because they have few scenes to show, that don't really reveal anything or point to anything. You're insane, if you are unable to question something that lacks proof. :D

You're just sad, I am sorry, but really. Who were you trying to sway over with those "leak videos"? Just so sad..

Calling me sad, classy, yvonnebeach.gif.

Sure, I'm willing to admit there's a possibility that the videos aren't true. But you are the one with no evidence, not me. And thus you come out sounding like an insane person, claiming 30 minutes of video is "5 second videos."

You are unable to admit that it's possible that we are right, and we *do* have proof. You are the sad, insane one here.

You're really grasping at straws, did I hurt your feelings? Awwww.... You have a blue barbie as your avvie, so please don't bring up the avatars since you can't beat me in any argument or any contest. My avatar only says, that I enjoy watching beautiful things and instead of generic ME/DAO one, I rather have such thing as my avatar.

I haven't seen any proof, the only ones you linked were just short clips from the trailer. Didn't really see much proof going around in the group either. People just say things are so, because they say so and it's same in this thread.

I rather wait till the game is out and tested it out myself, I am awesome like that. B)

umm dude you dont need to insult people cuz you feel that way and heres a 1:07 miniute video to prove this to you instead of insulting people while not knowing the truth

Apparently, the point that Capeo was making in a roundabout, ineffectual way -- was that we really have no idea what the choice-influenced ending sequences are yet.  Since they're not in the extracted .bik videos.

Yeah, some one played the game somewhere and some "claim" they saw the vids. BS! If you actually saw the vids YOU would have had them posted on Utube. No vids YOU are full of crap! And don't give me some one - yet no one posting here - somehow has all the answers - BS! Next, leaked script - yeah right - BW lost this scrip and followed it to the letter knowing full well it was on the internet. Yeah, right - have I got one for YOU. BS!

I think this guy put it best:

I've got the perfect example of what playing ME3 will be like.

Imagine a bowl of your favorite food. It's prepared perfectly. It tastes better than anything you've ever had in your entire life. And then you find a dog turd at the bottom of the bowl.

Doesn't matter how great that food was, there was still a turd at the end of that meal.

I really, really doubt that even if this is the end, that it's the end. People say that the Normandy got shot through a wormhole, right? Well, maybe that's the new interstellar travel in a future Mass Effect game? Because honestly, what the hell? If this is the case, in my game the geth, quarians, rachni, turians, krogans, asari, volus, elcor, hanar, drell, and humans will all be stuck in Sol. It's unrealistic to believe they can all thrive in the same system. Something will have to happen.

Maybe they'll initiate a Farscape project and they'll discover wormholes. Hell, if that ending is a descendant of the Normandy crew, they could just be lost. It's very possible that, because they were shot through a wormhole and crashed, they haven't been found yet.

....I play ME for the story, not for the gameplay (which is still far worse than GoW, even the first one). I want a story that reflects our choices, not "sunshine and bunnies."

Edit: I think I know where a lot of your inability to grasp what we are saying is coming from. Obviously you are not a native speaker of English (as the ¿ indicates), so I'll try to give you some more leeway.

The sad fact is that any Turians or Quarians trapped in our system without FTL capability (which goes down with the Destroy ending, along with the relays) will eventually starve to death. We don't have a dextro-based ecology. We can't feed them.

Pretty much what you said, OP.

In short:

BW told us, the endings won't make everybody happy.
Truth is: the endings will make everybody sad.

And that, fellow fans, is the only truth here. Lets shove that down their throat.

No rainbows and puppydog ending?
Count me in for 2 preorders now... I'm in .  That's it... I'm in for $160 on this one.

I can't wait!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I just don't understand why people are so happy that other people are deprived of something that means a lot to them.  It's a bit sadistic.  And pretentious.  But I'm glad you're happy.

I'm not happy because you are upset.. I'm happy because it sounds like a good ending.

Stopping a galactic extinction is quite a good ending. I remember how angry people got with FO3.. The idea of trading the life of a virtual character to save humanity was unthinkable... I really didn't get that.. You would think a courageous ending would be good... But apparently the idea of self sacrifice is lost.. If there were an invading army, their would clearly be a boxspring above such people and not a gun in their hand.. Is nothing worth dying for to you? Trading the lives of one crew TO SAVE THE ENTIRE GALAXY is an insult to you?? Do explain, because I'm truly not getting it.  Is courage that lost on you?  I am really and truely asking this..  I'm not attempting to be sarcastic, or sadistic.  I want to know.

People could of disagreed with the ideas way back when people voiced them.  This sounds a lot like what  many people described and asked for..  People agreed with the ideas then.  I didn't hear strong objections then?  Look back at some of the things I posted way back after ME2.. This sounds like what I was talking about and people liked the ideas then.

So it's not rainbows and kittens.. Good.  You trade your life for the galaxy.  Is the galaxy to small?
It's a hero's death.
A HERO'S DEATH!!!

So excuse my  at the outrage.
