As was mentioned in previous posts, many gay men agree with me here and my side of caution was both civil and understandable. Your personal attack is pointless and unessacary, so please kindly ignore my posts if you're going to act like you're posting on Call of Duty forums.

I read the previous posts. I understand the desire for caution, and in fact agree with that. I also saw what seemed to be nothing more than an knee-jerk reaction at someone who was concerned that the game was going to present him with an insulting stereotype. Which, from what I can tell, the OP was getting at.

I'm not asking you to back down from what you said. What I'm asking is that at least give the OP a little time to explain carefully what they mean before jumping on them and accusing them of prejudice. There was an obvious case of homophobia by user "alberta" earlier on in this thread and I'm glad to say that it was squashed. However just because people like you and me are in what are deemed minority sexual orientations, it doesn't give us the right to accuse people of something that they may not actually be guilty of.

And I accept that my initial statement may have seemed like a personal attack, for that I apologise. But responding to it with one doesn't make you any better really.

If you can't see what I'm getting at then I'd be happy to move this to PM as it is something I feel quite strongly about, but I am not trying to cause division here. I'm just standing up for a little leniency and justice before condemnation. We don't want arguments breaking out because everyone is so tense and terrified that the next thing that they say may be taken in offence by someone else.

Amazing thread!! one hundred pages in less than 24 hours! precisely 124 pages added since yesterday. I believe its both EA and BW reputation in big challenge. I am wondering how could I participate and share ideas with all people in this forum, if there is 100+++ pages added to this thread everyday??

Oh, don't worry about that.
There's so many people here that someone is bound to notice that you wrote something.
Don't be afraid to take part!

I'm definitely not going to buy any DLC or Dragon Age 3 unless BioWare addresses the issue.

[/quote]

I wasn't going to get DA3 regardless.  DA2 was not a quality product in my opinion and after this snafu, I have lost some faith in bioware.  That being said if they can pull off the indoctrination ending, then I may come back :P

Funny thing about the ending. I was expecting a bittersweet one. But I thought I would get Shepard, fighting to the very end, climbing Harbringer, just to find a way to destroy him.
Tali(or any LI) crying looking hopelessly at the scene. At the end Shepard would fall along with Harbringer. Then I would see epilogue showing me how my choices influenced galactic community. What I got was beyond dissapointing.

I was planning on buying DA:O ans DA2 but I definetely won't do it. Unless BioWare will fix it.

Sorry 4 My English

aw don't let the terrible ending of Mass Effect ruin Dragon Age for you...Origins is easily one of my favorite games of all time

of course theres no space magic but there is regular magic if thats your thing :wizard:

I had idea of trying to get this aired in Finland but it seems to be really hard to contact our tv channels. I did hit a concrete wall so to speak.
On a second thought it might be better this way. Our reporters seem to have hard times pronouncing the usual words so something like retakemasseffect might come out a really wrong way.

Ah, I don't know.
I find nothing wrong in having an option, you know?

I admit that I had some conerns about Vega, but he turned out to be really nice.
I like him.

I remember thinking, on seeing him...

"Ah, this is the new Jacob! The character who will be seen, but never used."

And I never did take him on any of the missions where he wasn't automatically included.

When I heard abouth the character I was hoping he would be female the rumored Bi love interest. In that respect she would feel like pvt Vasquez from Aliens. But he is alright. Still prefer that he would have been something else. As a straight soldier he competes for time with Ashley.

Edit: By "straight". I mean the Soldier class. But I guess he would also be less interesting to some as a "straight" soldier.

I would just like to remind everyone that this is a marathon and not a sprint. We're in for the long haul. There will be those who will test our resolve and set out to break it (like the anti campaign that has sprung up on facebook) and so if you're feeling tired or dejected then take a break. Watch a movie. Read a book. Do something fun to regain the strength and energy needed to see this through. We're all in this together and we're all here to support each other. Some will keep holding the line while others take a break and so on.

We're not at war with BioWare, but the negotiating process is a long and tiring one. One that we don't want to lose.

I'm proud to be a part of this movement. I'm proud of you all.

Hold the line.

You are assuming I was accusing anyone of anything. It was a blanket statement meant for everyone since the topics were falling towards homosexuality being seen as a negative. This is not what the forums need. We need to be on topic, to be understanding and driven.

However your continued insistance on pestering me specifically is becoming annoying. Don't pull a starchild and create the exact thing you're trying to stop. I disagree with you on various levels. Leave it at that.
