I had idea of trying to get this aired in Finland but it seems to be really hard to contact our tv channels. I did hit a concrete wall so to speak.

Not surprised considering they don't air most of the 'real news' either. <_<
But as far as I can tell, forums are buzzling with angry gamers, even forums which have nothing to do with gaming.
Too bad so called ofiicial game sites have not really kept up with the news, but hey, pretty much all Finnish gamers lurk at official forums and have low opinions on those sites anyhow, so nothing lost.

As was mentioned in previous posts, many gay men agree with me here and my side of caution was both civil and understandable. Your personal attack is pointless and unessacary, so please kindly ignore my posts if you're going to act like you're posting on Call of Duty forums.

I read the previous posts. I understand the desire for caution, and in fact agree with that. I also saw what seemed to be nothing more than an knee-jerk reaction at someone who was concerned that the game was going to present him with an insulting stereotype. Which, from what I can tell, the OP was getting at.

I'm not asking you to back down from what you said. What I'm asking is that at least give the OP a little time to explain carefully what they mean before jumping on them and accusing them of prejudice. There was an obvious case of homophobia by user "alberta" earlier on in this thread and I'm glad to say that it was squashed. However just because people like you and me are in what are deemed minority sexual orientations, it doesn't give us the right to accuse people of something that they may not actually be guilty of.

And I accept that my initial statement may have seemed like a personal attack, for that I apologise. But responding to it with one doesn't make you any better really.

If you can't see what I'm getting at then I'd be happy to move this to PM as it is something I feel quite strongly about, but I am not trying to cause division here. I'm just standing up for a little leniency and justice before condemnation. We don't want arguments breaking out because everyone is so tense and terrified that the next thing that they say may be taken in offence by someone else.

That was what I was getting at, although admittedly it was presented in a haphazard way.  That was my own error of judgement.  VonVerrikan and I discussed it through PMs and agree with the common. I am just embarrassed that my own lapse in eloquence got misconstrued and caused a lot of dissent. For that I do apologize PROFUSELY. I was speaking as a gay man about the fear of being stereotyped.  It turned out I was wrong and I am very happy that I was.  Again, I am very sorry if what I said was unclear and in any way caused contention. :(

I wasn't going to get DA3 regardless.  DA2 was not a quality product in my opinion and after this snafu, I have lost some faith in bioware.  That being said if they can pull off the indoctrination ending, then I may come back :P

I don't know: Dragon Age 2 wasn't a masterpiece and it had a rushed third act, but at least it wasn't frustrating for me.

Both DA2 and ME3 adopted strange logic in the end though: I can see Orsino as some kind of a mentor to CatalystChildBlah

I would just like to remind everyone that this is a marathon and not a sprint. We're in for the long haul. There will be those who will test our resolve and set out to break it (like the anti campaign that has sprung up on facebook) and so if you're feeling tired or dejected then take a break. Watch a movie. Read a book. Do something fun to regain the strength and energy needed to see this through. We're all in this together and we're all here to support each other. Some will keep holding the line while others take a break and so on.

We're not at war with BioWare, but the negotiating process is a long and tiring one. One that we don't want to lose.

I'm proud to be a part of this movement. I'm proud of you all.

Hold the line.

Just back holding the line.

To paraphrase Tracy Jordan (what else am I supposed to do since I can't spend my time playing me1-3?)...'oh, now I understand the end of me3. Those names are all the people that worked on the game...'

Guys!
Let's remember to:

Keep civil.
Not bash anyone.
Post links to images instead of embedding them.
To edit our posts so we don't have big quote pyramids.

Everything we do is for the line!
We can't risk having our thread closed.

I'm glad I wasn't mistaken in how I construed it. I'm also glad that at least you managed to square it between you two; it would appear to be too late for me.

No need to apologise for what you wrote or what it caused, I assure you.

I will have to take more care in expressing my opinions in future is all.

Yeah he/she is so right. This movement is trying to bend one of the biggest developers in industry. All we need is determination and solid, steady move :) I guess Hold The Line is excellent wording for that...
